I really appreciated your Beacon Star restoration. I am working on my own and your video inspired me to go a bit farther than I had planned. I am waiting for your promised video on how to convert my 10" Loritone Slab Saw to a 12". Will I need to change the motor rpm or any pulleys to match the cut with the feed rate? Rock on and keep um coming.
I'm in the process of fixing up a Lortone JUST like that and the motor for the feed seems to be the only thing that's not working. Where did you find the crank and what is it called? I love this idea!
I once saw a DIY setup where there was a weight suspended out the back of the saw for feeding connected to the feed slide. It applied constant pressure regardless of rock hardness. Your thoughts on usefulness?
We’re looking for a new saw for the lab. Do you sell the Lortones or just fix them?? Our Lortone drive is kinda messed up. The piece that moves up and down on the screw to hold it in place keeps popping up and certainly needs some maintenance. If you see this lmk please! I’d really appreciate the feedback ty!!
i have a quick question , my diamond blade has little to no teeth left , i was wondering where could i buy a new 10"blade , i know the have them at harbor freight and home depot but i want one designed for rocks , thanks i'm located in phoenix
