It's quite fun to just surf through your lessons, cry at the complexity of half of the teacher explanations, and then come here and listen to you cover it simply in, like, 5 minutes or so. It's really helpful. :D
you helped me so much man. i went from a 6 6 7 in my first combined science mock to 8 8 9 in my most recent mock. ive got my final set of mocks before gcse starting on monday
I love that your videos have mini diagrams, being a visual learner with a photographic memory allows me to absorb information better and easier. Thank you!
This length of videos is amazing and fits well with the way I take notes. Also, I just want to say thank you for these amazing videos that have, quite frankly, saved my life. God Bless.
Great explanation but you missed the main reason why placebos are used- because of the placebo effect, when the patient expects to feel better and their brain is tricked into thinking the symptoms have been treated even though they haven't, so they feel better anyway. Placebos are used so you can see the actual effect of the drug rather than just the placebo effect
great video!! i have my biology mock tomorrow and these videos are really helping with revision :) UPDATE: i actually think i did really well, although i don't want to jinx it just yet!!!
I love your videos only thing is i wish you can make the information more spaced out rather than being crammed up other than that you guys are a life saver :)
I believe that the length of the video was very appropriate for the topic that you were covering. Thank you for helping GCSE students getting a high grade. PS. will you have chemistry as a subject as well?
Hi Caspar, check the description of the videos. We’ve updated many of them to say whether certain parts of the videos are higher tier or not. On the older videos there’s sometimes a higher tier label that appears. Be sure to check the syllabus to make sure you’re not missing anything though :)
Thanks Luce! Really happy to hear it helped and thanks for taking the time to leave us a comment it really helps us out! Good luck with all your work 🙌
Well sometimes if you think that you're going to get better, it increases the likelihood of you getting better, so they want to make sure that the effect the drug has is actually because of the drug, not just because you think there will be an effect. It's kinda to do with the psychology.
when are you posting new video's. And your right longer videos help a lot. Make sure your next science video is 5-10 mins long. I wont mind at all. I love this channel it is perfect for science. ❤❤❤👍👍👍 From Muhammad Ali
Bit late but in the clinical trials where there is double blind (neither doctor nor patient know whether it’s the real drug or placebo) the drug is usually be tested on people suffering from the illness/disease. This can be unfair though, obviously if the drug works, the people who are taking the placebo might have already died from the illness even though they would have survived if they were given the real drug.
Thank u so much💞 I did my gcse today 17 may and the question what was the first antibiotic and I said painkiller then remembered the video I watched in the morning before the exam it says Penicillin and i wrote it but other people were confused and got paracetamol

Hi! This video was definitely not too long, I found it was the perfect length to consolidate and take further notes during home learning.
It's not long, it's perfect - because the structure, content and animation was exceptionally planned ❤
Not too long at all, really well explained. Thank you

Thank you for that video it was very informative and straight to the point and has helped me alot with this subject, Keep up the good work 👏 🙌
Glad you think so!
This is a brilliant video; with its great animations and flow diagrams. It really has helped my understanding of the process. Thank you so much!
watching the video in 2x speed so I finish it in 3:13, modern problems require modern solutions.
Me too, saves time and if i dont know anything it test myslef on it. Better to spend half that time testing than watching vids and passively learning
These ‘longer’ videos are not long and are amazingly amazing
Ah thanks Charlie, glad you enjoyed it!
awesome vid. straight to the point and comprehensive. it can even be shown at separate stages. pls do more topics like this
the more longer videos and the more detail and info the better!

Great video, really helps with revising and covers just the right amount of relevant info for exams
These videos are so helpful. I’m beginning to really understand science better now. Thanks Cognito!!!
Hey Josie, that's music to our ears! Glad they're helping :))
Long videos are fine as long as they are under 8-10 minutes. I like the videos that you post because they cover big topics within 4 to 6 minutes.
Glad you're enjoying them and finding them easy-going 👍

Poor animals having to have drugs tested on them
oh well, survival even at the cost of others, it is how we must move on as a species, don't get left behind.
Heyy.. I had a doubt
What is the purpose of doing the placebo thing?
Well sometimes if you think that you're going to get better, it increases the likelihood of you getting better, so they want to make sure that the effect the drug has is actually because of the drug, not just because you think there will be an effect. It's kinda to do with the psychology.

It depends - lots come from plants or fungi, whilst some our actually developed from our own immune systems
