I have Mac screwdrivers with the wrench shaft. I bought them in the mid 90s and they still work great. The color is the light green.
I have these. They are a solid tool. Now we need a set with strike plates.
As an electrician and a diy mechanic, I use almost exclusively Wera screwdrivers. They also have the laser engraving on the PHs and I’ve never handled another brand that holds onto a fastener like the Weras. Good video. My dad used to get all Cornwell stuff now I can see why
I work at a Chevy dealership and the P3 tips are perfect for the license plate screws on GM vehicles

I have some snap ons and I like them but they strip screws just as easy as my other screwdrivers. I’d go with the icon just based on the ease of warranty. I can stop on my way home from work and get it warrantied in 5 minutes. I don’t have a tool truck coming to my house so warranty is nearly impossible for my snap on stuff
i have 3 sets of the icons and 1 full set of snapons, the icons are great and I've never had issues with them. my snapons stay in my box for home use but I have a set of icons in my truck and upstairs. both are great I prefer my snapons but the icons regardless of the tool are a similar quality/ style to the snapon line for between 50/25% OF THE PRICE
I just bought kleins multi tip ratcheting screwdrivers do most of what i need. Got one stubby and one long one 32558 is the best one ive ever used.

I always loved the look of the Snap On Instinct screwdrivers. I mainly buy Icon tools, but I just had to have the 12 piece Snap On set with the stubby drivers and finally bought them this year. I might add the Icon set at some point when they have one of those 25% coupons again because the Snap On set is too pretty to use on some of those dirty jobs.
We love the Snap On. We will use our Icon on the dirty jobs like you said.

I have the German made Matco screwdrivers! I have no complaints from Matco’s screwdrivers yet. I’ve been thinking about trying vessel
I like using replaceable tipped screwdrivers . The tips are hardened well and there is a high amount of variety of different tips available .
It is nice to see the tabletop review of the tools, it is also nice to compare colors and feel, but in my mind the most important aspect of a screwdriver is its durability, I'd like to see how well they stand to the use and abuse

I sold my old Icon screwdriver set and bought the new one
Philips 3 used on a C- 130 hydraulic system selector valve in the wing root.
Good shit gentleman, I use a Phillips #3 for removing the lid on our industrial vacuums at work. (Carwash maintenance specialist)

A while back I got a 15 piece screwdriver set from home depot for 11 bucks which was a steal the only think is if you are really tightening down on them they will rub some skin off of your palms but besides that they are a terrific screwdriver
I always look for high-quality screwdrivers at estate and garage sales..found at least 50-75 over the years.. I give them away to friends..

I have had the orange Matco screwdrivers, the OG Snap On hard handles and now have a full set of Snap On instinct. Kinda wish I still had the OG hard handles. The instinct set because of the rubber handle gets dirty too easy and is hard to keep clean.

I work in Telecommunications and I use Philips 1, 2 and 3. I primarily use P3 on a daily basis. In everyday life, I’ve never needed a P3 though.
I HATE bad screwdrivers. With a passion, that burns deep inside my soul. It's an eternal hatred that will linger long after I am gone from this world. While I usually buy Klein screwdrivers I will say, the Lenox screwdrivers they sell at Lowe's are EXCELLENT. And very affordable, more so than the Icons. Also, if you have a magnet, such as a magnetic tray, you can make any screw driver magnetic by rubbing the screwdriver with it. Need it to be non magnetic? Drop it. Magnetized screw drivers are a marketing gimmick, there is nothing special about them vs any piece of steel rod.

Quality is key. I'm big on Quality, but dang snap on and other big brands. 300 bucks for 6 or 8 screwdrivers 😅
Wiha and Williams are my combined favorites. The older plastic acetate. That's for USA screws, Wiha works better on anything international. The tips hold up so well

Snap on is great
I do like the Icon brand and own many tools from them. But for screwdrivers, I'm saving an extra $30 to get an 8 piece set of Vessel Megadora thru-tang screwdrivers. I mess with a lot of Japanese atv's that are equipped with JIS head hardware, but the JIS tip drivers fit regular phillips hardware great as well. I have a few different Vessel products, and I really like the quality of the tools they produce.
P3 for honda splash shield screws... A P2 might turn it but it's loose enough to strip them out quickly if there is any resistance

Japanese vehicles use a different standard than Phillips, it's called Japanese Industrial Standard often referred to as JIS. If you're working on Japanese vehicles often you owe it to yourself to get the correct screwdrivers to work on them.
I have the orange Matco set. Got it free after a silent auction winner failed to collect or pay for the basket they won and the organizer gave them to me. I like them, but to me the value of a tool is in the work it can do and I don't feel that they're in any way better than other screwdrivers by a large enough margin to warrant the extra money. For that reason I would go for the Icon, but honestly, for half the price of Icon I would probably get the Quinn 15 piece premium set.

I've actually used the largest of the Phillips driver on alot of Suzuki Samurai and Cheep's. (Sorry,I meant Jeep's) and all kinds of motorcycle and 4-Wheeler's!!!

License plate screws are #3
For automotive work a stubby along with a ph1/2/3 are all mandatory. Otherwise you’ll be purchasing them separately adding to the overall cost.

The Marco screw drivers aside from the one with the felt bits on the handle are actually Matcos silver ealge set or there version of like blue point and the Marco sets don’t have the nut to turn it but the hole in the handle is where your supposed to shove another screwdriver in and twist it there shanks go all the way through the handle and the way they are designed allows you to do that they kind of have a plus shaped tang in the handles that prevents you from rotating the shank in the handle other than that nice video

I buy screwdriver sets way too often . Craftsman icon wera wiha Klein Pittsburg but I find something wrong with all of them . The icon are too light wera the handle is too small . I finally got the Matco set and so far I love them .

You said you buy screwdrivers all the time. Why do you do that? Do you loose them? Do you abuse them? Do you use them for everything that they are not designed? My screwdrivers are at least thirty years old and I believe only one has been warranteed. Buy good quality tools. Take care of them. Do not abuse them. Do not loan them to anyone. They shouldn't have to be replaced.
We just love screwdrivers that’s why we keep buy them.
