This goes to show, women leads can be good, but bad female leads with bad writing are not. *cough* Rey from Star Wars *cough*
I'm gonna say something that may be deemed sacrilegious... although Buffy is one of my favourite shows of all time, it was Xena Warrior princess that spearheaded the female superhero tv fantasy resurgence of the 90s
That's technically not true. While Xena started 2 years before Buffy, it wasn't a huge hit until 1998, by that time Buffy was already the #1 show on television. Buffy was the very first successful Si-fi series with a stand alone female lead to be a hit. Xena didn't get attention or very good ratings until after. Also the makers of Charmed, Dark Angel, Veronica Mars and The Vampire Diaries all credit their success to Buffy and The X-Files
I would love for them to produce 'Fray' with cameos from the original cast time travelling much like in the comics 👌👍 that would avoid having to fill the gaps and lapse in time running from the end of the last TV series
As cool as it would be, never gonna work. Buffy fans are now Sarah and Alyson fans
Stopping kids from stopping kids from stopping kids saying first
First
Those old school tube TVs last forever.
I'll forever love CRT TVs. It just sucks that they can't be repaired like newer TVs. CRTs are becoming outrageously priced
On the episode when willow gave every potential there powers that lil girl who was playing softball n hit the ball so far away?...she should be the new slayer
no. a continuation would be better
Omg they been saying a reboot is gonna happen forever(years now)honestly im tired of getting excited so honestly I dnt care anymore ill believe it when I see it
I would rather we didn't, not everything needs to come back, let some things rest
it don't have to be buffy they can bring back Kendra the vampire slayer
Yeah no. How many remakes has to be made to see it does not work.
Remakes can work if done right. The Spider-Man movies are a great example. ICarly also had a great comeback and definitely could've went so many more seasons if Paramount wasn't so cheap.
Reboots like "that 90' show" and "How I Met Your Father" are also pretty solid. That 90's Show definitely has alot of Promise and could go for a long time. How I Met Your Father was also very Promising, but stuff happened with the studio which cut it short.
Remakes are good and can easily be great, it just depends on the motive of making the series in the first place
@@oceanlemonyt yeah that depends on the storyline. Look at Charmed that was a huge mistake. But I have to agree if done right it can work just like Sabrina but Buffy is one of those that has to stay the way it was and not as a remake. I just don't want it to get a bad name.
@doorattachment6926 Charmed is just a bad example as the Reboot had no correlation to the OG. Nobody from the original show had anything to do with the reboot and that's why it failed.
Buffy will have the same makers and most likely some of the cast as well. Even if it doesn't live up to the Original perfectly, nothing will ever give the original show a bad name. Even with the Charmed Reboot being dog dookie, the original show still has a massive fan base and a good reputation.
@@oceanlemonyt i hope your are right. But I doubt that any of the original cast will come back. Sarah is busy with Wolf Pack. But if Josh can make it work and do it right then I'll give it a try.
I think Sarah and Alyson are Guaranteed to return in some way. They are still very involved with the series and fanbase. Nicholas Brendon and David Boreanaz seem like they would return if asked due to them also loving the series.
It was Fox so it is now Disney which means it will be HORRIBLE
It hasn't been confirmed that it would go to Disney. Alot of Fox properties went to other companies and were sold off to creators
@oceanlemonyt if that is the case, then I wouldn't immediately write it off
Also Disney wouldn't be bad as long as they don't take control. Considering the reboot of buffy is being handled by the same Creators as the original, Disney would probably act more as a publisher instead of actually having any impact on it.
@@oceanlemonyt Disney would have to have a massive takeover, management replacement, and an apology tour condemning their misandrist and racist decisions of late to even consider giving them viewership and money again
@jonathanvaux2715 I feel like it's kinda unfair to blame Disney as a whole when they are spilt into like 200 divisions. I don't think Disney is to blame, it's the people running it. There are alot of good people who work at Disney and alot of good things they make.
it wont work
