“I read the news today, oh boy…the English Army had just won the war…”
John L’ started wearing glasses publicly, after this film, instead of private -and, he wrote “strawberry fields forever” during the film, in Spain.
When I was an adolescent, about 1982, a local Art Cinema showed film prints of “how I won the war” and “let it be” over a weekend. 😎🎸

I pretended the beatles were my close friends.....I would talk with them, I guess you could say they were my make believe friends....I would stand holding a broom like a guitar, and pretend I was performing for screaming fans.....People felt sorry for me, and would humor me...One day, I laid the broom down, told them make believe friends goodbye, and walked away....I am 72 years old now, and looking back so long ago I cannot help but pity that poor little boy that was truly a real NOWHERE MAN.....
