In El Salvador the word “indio” is an insult, which is strange because majority of el Salvadoran have indigenous blood, but it’s that Spanish superiority that brain wash people to subconsciously speak superiority and racism ... but now days things are changing, they are still in the process of self discovery and land their own identity, not loving and fantasizing the Spanish (Europeans), and not hating their own native roots, and accepting others.... now it’s more of production, what can you bring to the table regardless of class or ancestry, the way things should be in a country, take Singapore for example many different type of people there...

Nice video, a salvadorean admires the accuracy!
    Two small "caviats"
The football war is referred mostly as "La guerra de las cien horas" (The hundred hours war) locally. Because "football war" was a term adopted by foreign news outlets since coincidentally we had football matches against Honduras for the World Cup. (And come on, the hundred hours war sounds cooler ;D) it was named like that because of the small duration of it.
And second: Even if El Salvador did have the highest murder rate in the world in the last UN report from 2017, the new president of the republic (elected in 2019) has been doing a lot of changes. We celebrated our first "murder free day" in the last two years in 2019 and since then, we've had more than 25 days without homicides from june 2019 to august 2020.
I'm really looking forward to look into further reports by the United Nations, since in 2017 we had an average of 10.8 homicides PER DAY, and in 2020 this number has been reduced to 3.4! (Until August)
In any case, a very nice video. Really enjoyable! Often El Salvador goes unnoticed from everything. I really like when we get a bit of attention. :)

Really interesting video. I like it. I am from El Salvador. Koskatan. La tierra de la Joyas. Something I always found interesting is that gang members in El Salvador covered their faces in tattoos. Ancient Maya and Nahua Warriors in Central America use to cover their faces in tattoos as well.
