Great cab unless you are in midwest. Latches freeze shut, locks sieze, struts all blew withing a year and a half. Positive air vent keeping dust out, great. Strength look and accessories make it kinda worth the hassle.
Thanks for your feedback. As you may or may not know, we are in the process of updating our lock/latch systems to include freeze protection. They will be retrofittable to all current EVO series caps. We expect to release them in the next few months for aftermarket. In the meantime, you can reach out to our Support Team via the "Contact Us" link on our website, and we'll ship you a set of lock covers that do a great job as well. As for issues you may have had with the gas shocks, our 3 year warranty will cover those and we'll get you new ones. You'll just need to complete a Warranty Service Request (www.na.rsismartcap.com/warranty) and our team will contact you. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.
If your Colorado happens to be a 6' bed, we have both the EVOa Adventure and the EVO Sport in stock now. If you have the 5' version, we are expecting shipments of the EVOa in May, and the EVO Sport in July, but if you're serious about getting one of those, you'll want to place a backorder with one of our dealers (www.na.rsismartcap.com/backorder). That way you'll save your place in line for when they become available. There is a good chance that those caps will be spoken for with backorders and won't ever make it into inventory.

We have begun installing the new Dual Release Latches on all EVO Series caps being produced out of North America and expect to begin installing them on South Africa-produced caps in Q2. Once both factories are stocked with enough inventory to support Manufacturing, we plan to begin offering them in sets of 2 and 6 to retrofit SmartCaps that have our original style latches. We will be notifying our Tribe email list when the new latches are available for purchase, so if you are not already a member, we encourage you to sign up (www.na.rsismartcap.com/join-the-tribe). As for pricing, that hasn't been determined as of yet.

They're good caps, but you don't offer the portal window on every truck, only full size and some newer midsized... If you offered it on all midsize, then maybe I'd consider buying.

When are the new open-from-the-inside latches coming out? Is there going to be a discount for those of us that already purchased a SmartCap?
