Dude preach him and Gina are the best pairing of the main romantic couples in the entire show in my opinion nini and Ricky didn’t go well together and fought a lot more and were over all just not compatible like Gina and Ricky so clearly are.
like nini and ricky were extremely bad and toxic with each other. he was emotionally unstable and had srs commitment and abandonment issues, and as much as she tried, she just didn't get it. they didn't fit well romantically. they both hurt each other.
ricky and ginas individual character development was so incredible to watch then seeing them grow as a couple because of their persosnal growth was magical. they were the true end game, sad we will never see them on screen as a couple again

tim’s pen was HOT when writing rina’s story arc, like the attention to detail, parallels, carefully crafted slow burn and character development makes this one of the best new age ships of all time. i’m gonna miss them so much
It's wild how some people say they "came out of nowhere" when in season 1 alone, there was so much evidence that these two were intrigued by one another and starting to catch feelings. If Gina had not moved away, Ricky would have been conflicted about his feelings, judging by his reaction to her showing up last minute to their opening night performance. Their journey was so beautiful and I like how they both were able to learn/grow from other relationships and mistakes they made before finding each other. Thank you for making this, it's so lovely to see these moments all put together this way.
They just mad Rini was never gonna happen and they were only gonna be temporary just like EJ n Gina 😭🤣 like neither of those couples had chemistry like Rina and Rini only got back together in S2 was cause Ricky had attachment issues and she was his safe haven he’s always LOVED the IDEA of Nini cause she wasn’t going anywhere at that point in time and because they had history mind you that Ricky ONLY told Nini he “loved her” was because SHE said it first and when he said I love you to Gina in front of everybody he said “…I’m IN LOVE and I KNOW IT, this is so much more than puppy love….” Which I take as him saying that his love for Nini was never actually love because he’s never felt it with her he just THOUGHT he did because she and him had history so he was taking that as he’s “in love” with her and as far as Gina and EJ?! They only were together because Rini had just gotten back together in the beginning of S2 so Gina was just trying to find comfort in EJ and essentially trying to distract herself from Rini I always thought EJ worked better as friends / brother and sister that’s what I loved about them being friends NOW I see why S2 was so long and boring to watch- cause the creator had said something about Ricky and Gina had to be with other people (Ricky with Nini and a little with Lily if you even count her 😭🤣 and Gina and EJ) before they could actually be a couple in the end because they had to learn from their past relationships so Rina could be a better couple and essentially they both did 🥹

One of the greatest love stories of all time. The chemistry, the parallels, the support. They are just truly one of the most well written ship I’ve ever seen with a crazy amount of chemistry.

I was literally rooting for Gina since season 1 so happy to see they were endgame
Ricky and Gina's chemistry from Season 1 to Season 4 was amazing to see. When I first started watching this show two years ago, I remember seeing them have scene together and possibly seeing some sparks between them despite at times it was awkward between them. I always thought they could be a thing. Season 3 was really when they develop their chemistry more when they were both the lead role of Frozen. Gina's confess her feelings to Ricky was the best part of this show. The way it was build up and scripted. They couldn't done it any better. Season 4 was really great as their chemistry grow a lot of stronger when they were together. Despite some challenges, it was shown that they will stick together and get through everything as a couple. They both realizes they will support each other in their dreams. Their characters and personality has improve so much. They were meant to be together and of course endgame. I'm sad this show is over but forever grateful for this show. Hopefully Josh and Sofia will work on another project in the future because they have such great chemistry together on and off screen.

After watching season 1 to season 4 on Disney +, it was obvious from the start that Gina was in love with Ricky but Ricky couldn't see it at the time, it's great they ended up together in the end. I hope they bring back the series in the future, I thought the series were really good.

@@farahjichi4617 ricky literally forgot ab nini season 1 ep 6-7 bc of gina. he has literally always liked her but he has literally always ran away bc he’s so scared of change. i recommend rewatching the show it might help! literally after rini kiss in ep 10 and after rina’s scene you can see ricky is conflicted looking at the dog tag after gina left after the flashback scene. you can call us delusional or whatever but we got the endgame! go cry somewhere else
I was a huge portwell fan when they did like that soft reboot throughout season 3 without Olivia, idk what it was but those 2 were a better pairing in my eyes but after season 4 and rewatching both seasons it is so clear that gina and ricky are meant for each other
To be fair, I feel like portwell was better because we didn’t get as much Ricky and Gina scenes. Portwell was cute asf but I feel like it was more of being happy they both got a redemption arc rather than just the relationship alone .-. People say Port well didn’t work out because Ej was still torn about his previous relationship that he couldn’t give his new one his full effort, and that they both only dated cause they were at a low, season 3 with the firework scene was an indication that Gina realizes what their relationship was actually about. But that’s just a fan theory some people have said.

In s4 it''s revealed they actually met when Ricky was singing a song about Nini and he needed an opinion and it was also before the audition (s1 e1 (but shown in s4) ). Turns out if Gina didn't talk to him he wouldn't have sang the song at the audition therefore he wouldn't have gotten Troy. And if Ricky didn't talk about the musical to Gina, She would not have signed up for it. It's so crazy to think about. And the hat gift Gina made had "i love you" in there all along. Rina were always meant to be. No matter how hard a Portwell or Rini shipper you are, you have to accept that. (EJ gave some amazing advice in the dorm room and i'm gonna miss him and Ricky's brotherhood.)

I love rina I mean i was shipping them together while I was shipping rini. The one thing I don’t like about the relationship tho is that it slightly overlapped with Gina and ej. There was no cheating but the whole of season 3 was emotional cheating or whatever it is called and they ended up breaking up because of Ricky. If there was a bigger gap btw portwell and rina it might’ve of been better or like a scene showing ej truly moved on and helped Ricky get Gina. I love rina but I also feel bad for ej and portwell. They should’ve written it better. Sorry if this was a long read

As much as I love what they have now, I never thought Ricky deserved her. For 2 seasons Gina chased him while he stayed laser focused on Nini. He only showed occasional signs he was maybe into her but it wasn’t even nearly as deep as Gina was into him.
It felt like just as she was moving on and was happy with someone else, he conveniently decided he feels the same way… btw this is when Nini wasn’t a regular cast anymore.
Let’s be real, Gina was always going to be an obstacle for Rina until they eventually got back together… Olivia leaving the show put a dent in those plans.
Also, Ricky still chased that blonde girl after the break up with Nini. Granted Gina was with EJ at this time but he could’ve shown some regret for losing Gina, but nope… he just moved on with someone else.
I would’ve loved to see a little bit more begging(or rather struggle) from his side before they got together. Like he really needed to be regretful for how he treated her, especially in season 2 when he kept talking to her about Nini, knowing she had a thing for him.
Again, I love what they have now. I just feel like Ricky had it too easy with Gina.
Tim literally said he would write towards Rina in the later seasons after season 1

EJ and Gina never got to the stage of 'in love', and they broke up because they were in different places in life. Again, it wasn't to do with Ricky. EJ got his happy ending with finally finding happiness through himself and his own decisions, as well as him and Val
