Any time Raith is on Angler West he absolutely kicks ass. This was an awesome striper video.
Awesome catches. Striper fishing has been great on both the sacramento and feather river this year. Started catching them in late January and still catching them now in May.

DONT USE MONO FOR TROLLING USE 30 LB BRAID IF YOU DONT YOUR LURE WONT GET DOWN VERY DEEP YOU CAN GET DOWN ABOUT 2 EXTRA FEET BY USING BRAID INSTEAD OF MONO THAT CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN A DAY ESSPECIALLY IN MURKY WATER. Most high quality deep diving plugs will dive about 10 feet and 12 feet is the perfect depth for trolling. The better shallow runners will dive 3-6 ft in shallow water you want your plus to tap the bottom occasionally to trigger a reaction strike so a couple extra feet can go a long ways
I pull stipers here in the Colorado river lots of vids on my channel I find anchovies to work great at night and swim baits in the day.. I run 30braid with 20lb fluro leader.. great video guys

We went out at midnight that morning. Off the water at day light. Avoided the great armada that came out of wards and tisdale. lol
informative video but the part where RH shows how to hook the white worm on the bottom treble is cut off the bottom of the screen...this is ironic because RH talks about how important it is do this properly yet it is just out of view.
what worms were you using? and any flake?

what test line do you use?
What do you recommend for Castaic Lake?
Stripers aren't too picky. Trolling or casting anything like this is likely to work. I would definitely try trolling some Brad's Mini Cut Plug Super Baits. Also, lipless crankbaits like the Spro Aruku Shad.

No way . They’ve both thrived or fell together . I’ve been fishing for both since early 1960’s . The problem is 99% exported water to farms and south California.
