I had filler put in my tear trough 5 years ago...not sure which filler was used. I was told it would last about 6 months. 5 years later it has migrated and swells unpredictably. I have had several sessions to dissolve it. It has not been fun and ultimately much more expensive to get rid of than the original cost to get it. Listen to these doctors!

Until the lip lift is anchored better with a higher anchor point (an intranasal lip lift) then lip lifts procedures haven't progressed to produce the better outcome it could have. Skip them until something better comes along that truly improves the over all aspects - the nasolabial continuity from the lip to the inner nose, the angle, no pulling down or widening of the nose at the lateral area or the columella, and the problem with increased nasal show. These are poor trade offs,

I saw that Dr Haworth is now anchoring to the nasal bone. I don’t know of anyone else doing that. It’s promising.
@@treceyhammon3226 I wonder if he is doing it on the septum since that would create a central and upward pull. That would be good!
For my situation as well as many others, anchoring to the nasal base (if that is where he anchors, not saying he is), could cause the nasal labial angle to look depressed/flattened since the anchor would pull tissue towards the back and bottom of the nose.

Speech and upper lip movement is always distorted and that is a shame because of the obvious esthetic benefit to a shortened philtrum. Hopefully advancements in lip lift procedures will mitigate these problems and improve outcomes.

Ben needs some procedure to lift his brows and a lip lift too. I bet that would be a great sales promotion - for the surgeon to have the same procedure on themself. Oh and a nose procedure to better define/chisel his nose, give it better projection, a better defined tip.
