Oh my God! This is a masterpiece.
Indeed, my friend George, a masterpiece indeed.
In fact.
yes startling
You're right! Try Druid's two albums. Also Blue Shift. @michaelruddell654
First time I've listened to Atmosphera - truly fantastic; I'd listen again.
I like how the bass is audible but doesn't dominate the mix. Great production value and beautiful music.
The bass recording and drums are impeccable! I find those are my favorite recording aspects of the music. But the music itself is beyond standards. This creation isn't something I dare classify. Just true authenticity through sound. Timeless, honest creation.
the bass lines are just amazing. really enjoyable.
I can tell in the first song that the bass is going through a Mutron envelope which certainly helps it to stick out. But I found most 70s recordings have this wonderful isolation on every instrument.
Thats a pretty fucking solid groove the bassist and drummer have
This is from my native country of Israel and literally no one knows this exists here, so incredibly beautiful
Yes you are right, in Israel there is almost no interest in music of this kind
Most underrated band ever
The beautiful song....I love progrock!!!!!
People who understand and know how to play music.
High cool
excelente
Beautiful, I wish they had done much more
Still in 2023 we can discover and hear some of the good prog rock bands from the 70's, my father and me are always looking for new bands in UA-cam. Thanks!
Me too.Guau el minuto 55 es genial.
Great álbum
New for me, but a pleasant surprise!
Bass boy is ripping, drummer is nailing it. This band is great. Yesish, maybe even better than.
They were young virtuoso students when they made this album. Listen to the ending part of Lady of Shalott and notice how Chris Squire COPIED their music and made the introduction of Into The Lens song. Too bad that they were ahead of time for the music appreciation in Israel.
Typical of the genre, the music is great, but the vocals I find to be unnecessary at best. I think many of these prog vocalists sing in a similar tone that I can only describe as castrated. I can see this album growing on me though. I'll have to give it a few spins to sink in.

As a fan of Prog I am stunned at how good this is! Incredible compositions, great musicians, How did this not be played in the time of release? Excellent music! Thank you for posting it 😎
Atmosphera has been a favorite of mine since 1978 . They were the most popular band in my grade school with the teachers that is
This music unfolds like a picture book full of stars, where birds come chirping, spinning farandoles, cracking rattles and dancing wizards. From rounds to nursery rhymes, the arrangements display their mystery, the songs fill with fervor and the instruments have the roundness and brilliance of chimes 🌺🕊️
You have a way with words! Well said
What a magnificent description.
What a beautiful salute! How f###ing articulate are you!?!?😅
Thank you for the good comment...
First time I heard them was in 2002 on the 88FM radio.
I called the radio station and asked for details and was told that it is impossible to find a record from this band.
Couple a months later there was a new special release for this album + extra tracks by the band.
I got myself a copy and glad to find it also on youtube.
Definitely a masterpiece.
That's a great story. I just found them on UA-cam and this is spectacular.
Singer sounds very much line Anderson of Yes, but I really know nothing of this band except hearing this on You Tube. Great bands don't always get know. Thanks for introducing it to us unknowing.
Brilliant. I searched for a CD, but the ones on Discogs were 230 Euros! Yikes.
What incredible talent! These guys are tight! Hints of early Genesis, and many others. But totally unique for sure!
More hints of early Yes. Vocals so similar to Jon Anderson, bass like Chris Squire and guitar that of Steve Howe. Great stuff. Hope to find a copy soon!
It sounds like 12 Jon Andersonses are singing.
+tatonkaa Haha that's true
WAY BETTER!!!👍
Amazing, very glad to discover such a great progrock band from Israel!!!! :) Every prog fan should listen to this masterpìece!!!
Adrian Scuppa Super
Adrian Scuppa which band is from Israel?
@@carlosreynaldosortosarmien7645 this one amigo, Atmosphera..
Totally agree
Israel have so many good rock bands, try churchill's and jericho jones, kervet too are good!
Gracias y Saludos.
Absolutely... One of the rarest raw heartfelt and from the gut compositions I've ever heard. Outstanding. :-)
another undiscovered jem! superb playing here, plenty of emotion/time signatures to keep most proggers happy.
Can't believe they are from my country!!!!!! Wow! A masterpiece🖤
Israel I believe . Stop the war
One of the most precious gems of prog rock. Still to be discovered by wider audience. Hope to see CD edition soon !!!
But interzone demands a vinyl!
The CD was released in 2002:

@@chengershuni313 He apparently has been living under a rock. I know 32 people who are proud owners of this CD , and I live in a town that has 200 people
SOLUTION:
a bunch of us should send this to YES' management and say "YOU SHOULD RELEASE THIS as a brilliant YES TRIBUTE.......and YES gets 50% of the royalties and ATMOSPHERA gets 50%"!
THIS IS AKIN to a new 1973 YES ALBUM being found in the vaults!
Most prog bands who are YES clones are not this fresh and underivative. (It's like they took all the INGREDIENTS of YES, but made a new album with new melodies etc etc.)
WOW! A new discovery for me (a huge YES fan). I'm sorry I missed this group in real time. Outstanding.
some headphones, black light posters, incense and some drinks :) haha musicians are awesome ...too bad this wasnt released until 25 years after it was produced. Might have became a big name. g
glad someone found it !
Agree this band should get back together reunion, bring back cool progressive rock of old school MAY just save rock n roll... In stead of cheesey bands of today.✌️
what a classic rarity , and the bass straight into the amp, and multicored to the 8 track, no effects just bottomed out dirty playing ,so genuine and earthy, I just love it.
To me it sounds like he has a flange or on it. There's also an effect that they use to make in the seventies called bass balls. I'm sure there are lots of variations on that now. To me it sounds like flanger
Rarity 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂. I suppose that you also consider Gentle Giant, Yes and Genesis underground bands 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
@@kevinkeyes6625 Right. To me, they also used some compression. Surely though, the effect is quite "in your face", compared to other records, and it sounds great.
This is definitely a Ricky into the orange pedal. Fn awesome. Right front and center in the mix like it belongs.
I have never heard about this band, it is a masterpiece.
Espetáculo musical da melhor qualidade.
At 4:42mins you can hear the bass line of Pink Floyd - Echoes.. LOL :D
Jaja simon, justo pensé lo mismo
the drums are impeccable
Fascinante!
You just can t help loving this LP, man!!! It s so full of emotion and skillful music. GREAT!!
That expecional album! Great band!
this music makes me happy.
How does music this good fly under the radar? Great prog album
Bom demais. The Old Man And The Sea.
Amazing bass player!
What an awesome album! Does anyone know where I can get a CD copy of it? I know it's out of print.
Irina, I would love Lady Shalott on cd too, but I can't find one. I hope it will be released ágain soon.
ever 45 seconds of this could be played with and expanded into so much. its like they put 20 albums into one album. all these damn king gizzard kids these day, s'n D cause a band puts out 10 so so albums a year ppsshhhhhhhhhh
Grata! João Poeta!
Underrated album! One of the best albuns that I heard.
Extraordinario!!
MY GAWD...THIS IS A BEAST OF AN ALBUM.
Vocals sound very similar to Jon Anderson. This is really excellent music. Glad I stumbled upon it.
Yes, Jan Hupfer-Larsen, I also know Jericho and their brilliant album. Two other brilliant seventies albums from Israel are Peace with Zingale and Orange Season Is Over with Tamauz. Check it out!
Increíble banda. Himnos progresivos que agasajan el alma.
My love has been Progressive since 1968, here in Israel I NEVER saw this on the market!
I think it never was ever put on vinyl. It was considered too out there for the times
@@kevinkeyes6625 קוואן -Kevin, In 1970-76 There were various markets for progressive rock-jazz. In Israel we had mostly British bands, American progressive, even rock bands like the Doors were not sold here.Mostly British, some German. To get American records we had to order a 4 times a year record catalog and send money to family in USA to order and send them.Later came the record companies here like Tower.
I just now checked out who the band was : They are Israeli but I never saw this sold here. "This Israeli short-lived Prog group was formed in 1975 by teenager keyboardist Yuval Rivlin and guitarist Moti Fonseka, bringing along Alon Nadel on bass and Ami Lipner. With Zingale passing a period of instability, they convinced Efrayim Barak to join them on vocals and the band signed a contract with the Nana Disc label, recording two long suites for their debut album.Unfortunately the rise of Punk got this album shelved and it was only released many years later as ''Lady of Shalott'' (2002, MIO Records).MIO collected material by several Atmosphera recordings besides these two suites and offered a great set of music, which is basically epic, romantic Prog Rock in a Yes vein with odd time signatures, Classical influences, dreamy keyboard passages and Jon Anderson-like vocals by Barak.Lots of Moog synthesizer, harpsichord, acoustic piano, Hammond organ combine with electric guitars, the two epics are simply amazing with little originality but excellent thematic variations.Apart from archival recordings and live tracks this CD contains also one piece of a latter Atmosphera incarnation, called Istopy, plus three new, promoting pieces of Experimental Fusion/Avant Garde Rock by drummer Ami Lipner, under the pseudonym Me El-Ma.Atmosphera folded out in 1978 and Barak returned to Zingale along along with Lipner."
Increíble un regalo para mis oídos!
grandissimo album!!!!
One of my favorite albums. Israeli prog rock, Love it. Shame relatively few will get to hear this.
If Pink Floyd and Rush had a baby this is what you would get! Bravo 👏🏽
its wonderfull ive never heard of it before today
;)
ermlte c bien aussi ds 1 communaute
Well, Esferadevidro, you did it: you got me glued to youtube for the next days with all those unknown albums of prog I just HAVE to listen.
The Yes factor is strong in this one!! I love it!!
If one didn't know otherwise, the vocalist sounds EXACTLY like Jon Anderson. I myself just found this today.
Spectacularly Awesome!!
That's stunning! Why can't find vinyl press of this item?
this music is incredible...
Thoses bass lines! :)
excellent
great album! genuine good ole prog.
genial, divino. Gracias y solo gracias.
Esse disco é impecável...\o/
How lucky you are, Itay! I would love to have that album. It is truly a masterpiece.
found this years ago..forgot the name..finallly found it again
one of my favorite albums ever
GREAT album and GREAT band!!!
Those guys listened a lot to Yes and Starcastle, from Israel, wow, shalom!!!
OMG! Thank you for uploading!!! Time travel...
What a great sound. Obvious influences, and just fantastic. I don't recall ever hearing of this band. 70's Progressive Rock, before that's what it was called. I ended up here by way of Papa7851, whose channel I subscribed to quite some time ago, I believe -- though I can't remember exactly what compelled me to do so. I'm sure it was because of a shared interest in awesome music. : ] Peace. Thanks for sharing.
Love euro prog rock genesis meet aqua fragile they need bernardo lanzett ripping some vocals
that bass player is amazing!
This takes me back to the first time that I huffed diesel high attop a mountain with a girlfriend that bit my arm until I was screaming in agony
It was overall an enlightening experience? 😂
Yes a masterpiece .Did they do other stuff like this ?
espetacularmente bom demais
🔊🎶🎶✌😏🌱🛸
bravissimi
I hope this brilliant album will be released again. In the meantime I will listen to it from UA-cam.
Insane good !
Founded in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1975 - Disbanded in 1978
ATMOSPHERA, not to be confused with a Brazilian art-rock band with the same name, is an Israeli progressive rock band from the late 70's. They recorded two long, epic pieces for an album with English lyrics (Shakespeare & Lord Tennyson), but the album was too far-out for the small Israeli music industry, so the master tapes were archived and the album was never issued on vinyl. 25 years later, a small collectors' label, MIO records, gathered all the tapes, videos and information on the lost band, and issued the album on CD, with bonus tracks and a videoclip.
This is fucking amazing.
huh
REISSUE ME PLEASE....DOUBLES ON VINYL.
Que maravilha de album, genial!!!
Like a fresh drink of crisp clear water.. THIS whole l.p to me is better than the YES band WHOLE ANTHOLOGY!! ✌️
Great music! ^_^
They almost out yes Yes. I think it should be remastered. Vocals are annoyingly muffled. Very little low end on bass. Drums "sound" cheap. Such a beautiful piece should be treated like the true gem that it is
