I think it has more to do with embarrassment, not the cheating itself. It looks bad on the family. You saw how he told his wife to go apologize to the girl's family? It's not about her feelings, it's about face. That's the basic culture of it. Someone would see it or find out and THEY would look like failures. If they didn't blow it up and it got out, they would look weak for not saying anything. It's all about saving face.

This is refreshing. When my ex husband kicked my son and I out of our home so he can be with the woman that he told me was just a friend his family blamed me. And now they don’t know why he’s the way he is. It’s because they never keep him accountable of anything he has ever done. So he knows he can get away with it. They know they’re shitty parents and feel ashamed of him but making them feel better isn’t my job. The woman they accepted into their lives like nothing, it’s her job now. My job is to take care of my son like I always have. Without the donors help. I just hate that I’m treated like shit and wants me to bend to his every will. One day when my son is older I’m sure he’ll be able to see him for the asshole he truly is.

What the hell did he THINK was going to happen? That's a rhetorical question. A lot of men behave like this, hoping that somehow everything will just smooth itself out with no work, effort or confronting things head on. This was a coward move. He was hoping his old girlfriend would meekly leave (as she tried to do) and that his family wouldn't say anything until new girl had gone home.

He gets a better job with someone else's help but still isn't happy when he comes home and realizes the locals, people he's known his entire life, have zero respect for him and are gossiping about him - the new job may come with more impressive clothes, but a pig is still a pig, even if you put that pig in a suit. Then he goes to her job and tries to incite her to anger, to hit him or scream at him or to throw an immature temper tantrum so *he'll* feel better about cheating on her and shaming her, her family and his family. What a self-absorbed, weak, spineless man-child. I've not seen the drama, just this vid and the one prior to it where he brings the mistress 'home' to the birthday party as his college classmate, but it is enough to make me applaud that young woman who was graceful under fire and genuinely respectful to his entire family during that public embarrassment he caused. That the mistress stayed with him even though he also deceived her by not telling her he was engaged to be married is telling of the type of woman she is as well: if he lied to his fiance and lied to his mistress, does the mistress honestly believe he'll be true and faithful to her when another woman catches his eye? His fiance's solid but graceful exit from his life, while wishing him nothing but happiness, was perfection.

I honestly think there is no need to say anything. If you're not wanted than it's not worth it. What could she say that would change anything? Make her feel better? There is nothing. Confronting and saying something will only make her weak. Never chase a man who doesn't care about you.

What is the name of this movie or show? It was definitely sweet & fair to in the in-laws sticking up for the first girlfriend. My Mother always hated that hypocrisy of people giving smiles & respect to the new girlfriends/boyfriends of the of any marred couple or serious relationship. Heck I hate seeing that too and I've never been a two face for anyone. Especially for the sake of family. There is nothing as ugly as a two face hypocrite.

He’s not only a idiot for bringing home another woman; he’s idiot for bringing the other woman to a family birthday celebration, a celebration where his Girlfriend would obviously be present; his whole family obviously loved his Girlfriend and treated her like family, he KNEW it and still chose to bring his mistress.
Let’s say his Girlfriend couldn’t show for whatever reason, she is loved by his family, did he honestly believe that his family wouldn’t know? Hell, even if his parents did’t catch it right away his mistress would’ve gave it away right of the bat due to her actions alone.
How did he think this was going to play out?! Did he believe that they would cover him? Keep it a secret.
He disrespected his Girlfriend by cheating then gave her a final slap in the face by chasing after his mistress; to go and interrupt at her work, demand her attention and have a woe is me moment was pathetic, he’s selfish.
Although the mistress didn’t know prior, her actions after the fact only prove that she is a shameless woman, in another clip her words are translated and she basically tells him she doesn’t care as long as she could be with him; she’s just as guilty.
I’m glad the family had his Girlfriend back, glad they made their son take accountability, including the neighbors, he deserves it all.
