      There were fellow Pinoy and Pinay who abuse other foreigners.

    Right on point, salary is directly proportional to skill, if your salary is low time to evaluate your skill.

      I am interested in the local population of African people either studying or working in the Philippines. I believe the number have grown over the years and am curious how it compares to other Asian Nations, specifically ASEAN nations hosting African people in their country. What are the most common courses / degrees taken in college, least taken, what's the most popular job that they take, least popular job, etc.

      What's like for a foreigner girl to date in the Philippines?

    • @oodo2908
      @oodo2908 4 місяці тому +1

      @@SlimShady-lg4pf I can answer that. Filipino guys are the only Asians that happily date foreign women. Most of them might be too short for your taste, but there are a lot normal size guys, with a few six footers here and there. Best if you live and meet in the upper end areas like Makati and Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Men there will be bigger, better looking, and better educated.

    Why are many foreigners coming to the Philippines and on the other hand, Filipinos leave the country?
    - Well, as both of the guys you interviewed said, you need a certain skill set. Filipinos tend to think that having a degree of some sort is a skill. To put it into better perspective, the BPO industry is one off the largest industries and economic drivers in the Philippines. If you look at the industry as a whole, there are a lot of jobs available depending on your skillset. IT jobs is a broad spectrum, so if you break it down to more specific positions like for someone who does programming or someone who fixes physical assets, these are 2 different skill sets and each have different requirements to achieve a certain level of qualification >>> and so the pay is totally different.
    If you're a typical Filipino and your skill set is in the category of the lower tier in terms of potential income, the two common things that you have available is to 1.) Upgrade your skill set for better potential income or 2.) Just go abroad and look for the same position that requires you're skill set and rely on the exchange rate to upgrade your income. >>> The latter is what most Pinoys will do because it does not cost as much money to do or does not take time (years) to get ahead salary wise.
    I guess what Filipinos need to understand as to why Foreigners here are able to sustain themselves with a good income is not because they are foreigners. Try to understand the skill set that they have that most Filipinos don't dare do, like learn a 3rd foreign language. In the BPO industry alone, you will find that the people who have language skills other than English are paid several times higher because Language is not something like an IT process wherein you can learn from a few training modules in a short amount of time. It takes a lot of time and skill in order to do office job using another language other than English (Ex. Other Asian or European languages) for a Filipino.
    Now you might argue, "But the positions that the foreigners take in the BPO, they are native speakers so it is not hard for them to use that language". >>> Yes, true, but the thing is, there is a lot of openings but very few Filipinos qualify for the position so, the companies are left with the last resort and allow foreigners into their companies than to lose business. Mind you, Companies still prefer Filipinos who are highly skilled in the field than native speaking foreigners for the simple fact that companies need to shoulder expenses like Visas and immigration related fees / taxes / paperwork for foreign workers as opposed to a local Pinoy.

    • @ninkichan7209
      @ninkichan7209 4 місяці тому +2

      @@libnibermejo You also have to consider the cost of living in the country you are in. 14K USD a month is a very big amount even if you are living in the most expensive city in the Philippines. However, if you are living in the major metropolitan areas in the U.S. or Europe like New York, Berlin, etc. that is not a bad amount in my opinion. Although, if you have a lot of bills to pay, I am not so sure.

      In my opinion it is due to a new environment, most esp if one of their friends or family members are already living the 'greener pasture' life elsewhere outside PH is something the PH government and private sectors has to come up with an alternative opportunities for locals so they can stay and not to work outside the country.
