The Parable of the Mustard Seed/ Matthew

Today we’re continuing our new series, titled “by the sea!“In the series we’ll be learning about parables that Jesus told while he was by the sea. Through these parables, Jesus taught the crowds, as well as all of us, more about God and about his word and his kingdom.
Today we’ll hear the parable of the mustard seed, one of two parables Jesus used to teach about the growth of God’s kingdom. So have you ever noticed that many things begin small, but become big later on? Like people, for example. We start out small as a baby and we grow into some pretty large adults! Well, in today’s lesson we’ll talk about something that starts out teeny tiny and grows into something huge. Join us today as we learn about the parable of the mustard seed!
