- In this video I review the Navy and Brown Lochby Quattro - redesigned - a 4-pen zip case! Lochby sent me these pen cases to review. This case has a lot of great features and I do like the redesign better than the original which I reviewed in 2020. Also, the Navy color is stunning! I have only ever tried Brown and Black in the Lochby products. I've been a fan of Lochby's journal covers and 68 gsm notebooks for years! Special thank you to Lochby for sending these pen cases!

Lochby is a great company. I love the new design. I have two Rickshaw cases, also a great company. So much to love! Switching it up a little, I just bought a Lamy mechanical pen which I’ll use for drawing and a Lamy rollerball for when I need a regular pen! Thanks Chris…
Oh how fun! I recently got a Pilot rollerball/gel pen which is pretty cool!!! :) I didn't know Lamy had a mechanical pencil!!!
Thanks for showcasing the color variation between the Quattro and the Field Journal, Chris. So, here's the scoop: The new Quattro comes with a bit more wax, giving it a darker hue. And over time, it’ll naturally lighten up, kinda like how your favorite pair of shoes gets that comfy, lived-in look. So, eventually, it’ll match up pretty nicely with your well-loved Field Journal. Oh, and if you ever want to amp up the darkness again, you can always slap on some extra wax. Easy fix! ☺
Ah ... that's really good to know ... thank you! I like the brown darker so I'm going to use the wax on my Field Journal!!!! :) Thank you for sharing these cases with me! I sent one to a viewer/pen pal who has supported my channel for YEARS! :) She loves it too!
I had Rickshaw Bagworks make a two pen sleeve for me with a detachable lanyard. It's really handy for those days when I wear a shirt that doesn't have a pen pocket. 🖋️🙂
Hi Steve - I was just getting out my 2 pen Rickshaw with lanyard yesterday .... I have 2 Moonman Mini's inked and I don't want to carry them in my pocket. :)
I love my Lochby. I have the older tan version. It’s very functional and sturdy.

I loved both colors of the Lockby pen cases and how you can fit a thin notebook on the outside. You do such a wonderful job showing us your pens and journal books. I always enjoy watching your videos .

Love both of those Chris. The color ways are the natural tones that I like best. They’re rugged and practical. I really enjoyed your excitement at receiving mail too. I haven’t bought any pen cases yet as I’m saving for a few more pens so I can have about 6 or 7 inked at the same time. Seeing a new video from you really cheers me up when I come home. Love and thanks for your fantastic content. Love the Rickshaws too: they are on my wish list.
Hi @wildwolf3343 - I'm always happy and humbled to hear a video gave a lift in cheer or inspiration!!! It keeps me making me videos for sure. :) Do you have a favorite nib size yet for your fountain pens?
@@ChrisSaenz13 For journaling, I prefer EF or F, but I do like using Mediums in my other notebooks and ink journal, to most enjoy the qualities of the inks. Wet nibs & inks make me happy: I just love colour. I use the Hocoro fude in my ink journals if I want to do headings or titles. On my wishlist at the moment are Benu Euphoria and Opus 88. My favourite ink at the moment is Inkebara Deer Brown in my Parker 51 - glorious! Thanks again for sharing with us all.

Me too! I especially hope they make a Tallulah - that size case that has enough interior room cushioned would be just super amazing!!!!
I fell in love with Rickshaw pen cases and have never looked back. The thing I appreciate most about Rickshaw cases is the soft material that comes in contact with my pens. I never worry that the case is scratching my beloved pens with Rickshaw.

I have the field, pocket, and Quattro original brown like you. Yes they are a lighter brown. I really like the navy. Yes the small brown pocket notebook is from Goulet. Thanks for the review. I have a few Rickshaws and a Nock Seed that I use every day. It holds a small CVS Caliber notebook for my daily sudoku puzzle along with fountain pens, a micro pen and gel pen for drawing the puzzles, a small ruler, pencil and dry witeout.
Hi Kathy - I thought I was seeing the colors right ... on the brown older ones which seem more tan. :) Both are pretty. That sounds like such a great set up for your Nock Seed with a CVS Caliber and sodoku puzzles + supplies ... I'd like to "see" a picture of your set up. Is it the smaller or the A5 size?

My daughter has a Lochby portfolio that holds a notebook and has mesh pockets for storage. She carried it to the Atlanta Pen Show and had someone approach her; asking about it and which brand it is.
That's awesome! :) I wonder if they ever sell their stuff at the pen shows -- I bet they could!
I never use pen pouches I almosnt never ever take my pens outside my desk area 1 I'm afraid of loosing them and 2 I'm afraid of breaking them so its either all or nothing when I go to go the Oc pen club I take all my pens in their case zipped up so their all facing up and nothing can get out or lost or break and then I open them very carefully on the desk area I'm aloud and place them so people can look and play with them and always with a little leather pad or my jacket on the floor so if it were to fall it would fall in my basket with my jacket or on a box away from the floor cause the place where we have our meets is all lenoleum and I'm terrified to bring my gold nibs for fear of dropping my pens on floor and them breaking :) I do have pen pouches but they are 1 pen pouch or if they are thin 2 but I think I have one 3 pen pouch but they are ment for like #2 pencils theirs not one fountain pen that fits in there which is disappointing .. have a great week
Hi Marilyn! I have to fully protect all my pens from 3 crazy cats lol. :) Thus all the pen cases and boxes and stuff. A pen on it's own becomes a cat toy. Oh I get so envious that you have a local pen club to go to lol. I owe you a letter my friend .... it has been crazy but I'm back to my pen desk writing letters again.
