Love your estie collection and couldn’t agree more, exchanging nibs and finding those that really suit is a blast. I have found cursive italics really float my boat and based on your video an architect is in my future for sure!
@@Desert_Inkwell my understanding on this is a bit shaky but I think cursive italics are a bit more rounded on the edge, so less slicey. I just got back an M600 Pelikan nib from Kirk Speer and he did a cursive smooth italic and it’s dreamy. Wider downstrokes, thinner sidestrokes and has just enough of that slicey feel to give a bit of flair to my horrible penmanship.
Your Rainbow Estie collection is the same as my Rainbow Momento Zero collection xD ♥Vintage writing...hmm...I can dig that. Lol :D I could never get to Karyna's level of planning, I like my laid back chiller journaling/planning haha, but I also love being organized, so that much I love to do and love about Karyna's organization!
I also love your low edit videos. It's super fun. I told myself only to buy inks when I am 50% done with the bottle. To ensure I don't over buy just like my washi tape collection. As someone who has 2 pen and inks the fomo is real. P.S I think your handwriting has changed slightly from using the workbook. You now have more flair and it's looks beautiful in that medium italic nib
Great job showing the pens. Your videos on Sunday are a high point in my week, so glad you’re back.seeing all the different nibs that we talk about is so much fun.😅
I have an Estie addiction but it doesn't compare to yours! 😂 I have 5 Esties and I thought that was a lot. But seeing yours all lined up in all their glorious adult crayon rainbow order, I need MORE! 🖋💸
Enjoyed this video, and the matchup’s of pen to ink look great! As a fellow LH-OverWriter I am happy to find your video. Are you practicing Spencerian while you LeftHand OverWrite?
@Desert_Inkwell Thanks. I'm an LH Over-writer and I find that I can't use flex for that nice Calligraphy- holding the pen any other way for me feels just too foreign .

Awesome! Thank you! I haven’t tried a cursive italic yet; is it very different from a non-cursive italic?

Salt after taffy looks amazing in that pen and that Rocky top pen is so beautiful
The ink is made even better because it was a gift from an amazing friend!
I am learning so much! All the Estie's are gorgeous, but here are my favs from this video. Pen - sea glass / ink - for whom... / nib - nouveau bleu
Maybe I should try them together?
Such a gorgeous collection!
Thank you!! 😊
Love your videos! I always look forward to your new content 😃
Happy to hear that! That warms my heart

It is lovely to have all the nib sizes covered and colors too.
Yes, the italic/stub nibs, does give the handwriting a little more style.
I’m hooked!
Nice video, enjoyed it.
Thank you!

I think when I am doing the Spencerian practice I am side writing more than anything. I’ll test and try and remember to report back.
