Hey John, I watched your last video, and the strap fell off about a minute before the log hit the carriage. Looks like it just fell off when you pushed the carriage to get lined up with the log. The carriage was on its own... kinda wonder it didn't fall off the track.

When you watch the broken strap video you will realize that you actually broke it when you moved the carriage before turning the log over. I am the same age as you and have had to accept that I just can't work like a 20 year old any longer. it is all about setting an all day pace.
Sounds like you got the raccoon syndrome going on. A full belly leads to a want or need to take a nap. You just need to slowe down and moderate your work schedule a little bit.
I was in the same boat a couple days ago, turned the cant 90 with a manual chewy then tried again and said 'nope, that ain't happening' and got the winch going instead.
