john as you seem to have difficulty turning logs look at the turner they use on wallace sawmills and kashima japanese sawmill,It only uses a girder mounted above with an electric hoist, surely your capable of making this yourself with your engineering background CHUCK United Kingdom
hi there at this time i am not really interested in putting a turner on this mill , the other one has 2 , to be hooked up . but thanks for the thought . john
Kinda disapointing. More & more hooie & less sawmilling, 30 minute video to put 2 sides on a log on your mill, Kinda hard giving your vid anything but a thumb down. I will try another vid & hope for more content which will get a thumbs up
hi there i understand what you are saying . but i try to do what the majority of my viewers want , i show things in real time with no editing and try to explain stuff and show stuff , i also have on help people or hydraulic so it takes 4 time longer most the time .when you make a video don't you want to make one most people want . if you want some fast sawing go watch Mark Galicia , thanks for stopping by john
good video and job lumber looks good. wife age is out how can a 39 year old be married over 40 years i hope you can a good one. take care, be safe and well.
hi there great idea what was i thinking but now as i think about it ,they may have done that so they would pull that way to keep it from floping over , do you know what i mean and what are your thoughts , thanks for your help , john
@@fricknjeep I see what you're saying. Although i think they are far enough over center that the weight on them will keep them upright until the log /cant rolls of them. Interesting . Is it hard to turn the rollers around and give it a try and see what happens?
I think any sawmill Would be more than happy to have that poplar log one side was rough but had beautiful colour the rest was awesome looking lumber Great video John
hi there sure had a lot going on in it ,It sure is pretty .Glad you liked it also ,thanks for dropping in and watching and taking your time to leave me a comment , thank you john
@@fricknjeep I’m in the Louisville Kentucky area. I have the opportunity to pick up a mill like yours. I’m going to have a lot to learn and may have a lot of questions for you.
Hi John, enjoyed the video. I just wanted to apologize for not watching all your videos lately like I normally do in the colder months. Summer time is a busy time for me with planting the garden, taking care of the garden, mowing grass and trying to get all the other stuff on my wife’s honeydo list. Believe me it’s a long long list. Winter is coming so I’ll do my best to catch up after hunting season.
I like it when you make noise, John. You always have something interesting to say. The first knot looks like a bird head and the second looks like a chainsaw.

To make your right side rollers for the left side just knock out the pins and spin the rollers 180 degrees.
hi there as long as it works i think i will leave it alone , thanks for the thought john
