2013-14 Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt Information and New Segmenting

- 2014 Treasure Hunts follow this same system. This video is primarily USA Treasure Hunt Information. For non-USA packages, you won't have the text behind the model as shown in this video. All countries and regions get the same cars so basic and Superized Treasure Hunts are in ALL assortments for 2013!
On USA long cards, this text is usually inside the blister, on the card, behind the car.
"This symbol lets you know that this vehicle is hard to find and highly collectable." However, the world-wide and the UK short cards do not have the text on the card. The model is exactly the same including the Treasure Hunt circle-flame logo. - Авто та транспорт
The logo on the car is something that collectors have been requesting for many years!

Correct. The text isn't always on the card with the Supers. I don't know why.

That's why I stated in the description that the information in this video is for US Long Cards and the International cards don't have the wording on the back. Another thing that is missing is that New Models don't have the New Model logo on the card.

Ahh!! That helps me a lot too thanks! I found a bread box at a kinney drugs and it didn't have the message behind the car so I wasn't sure to buy it but I did. And it has multiple languages on the back so that explains it a lot for me thankyou!!!

I found one of the 2013 HW City Bread Box cars and it has that little round circle with flames logo on it but the card does not have the written message printed on it...is it still a Treasure Hunt or do they need to have the message on the card? Thanks in advanced!

Thanks for the kind words about my videos. Happy Collecting =) As for the Hot Wheels Big Rigs, I assume you are talking about the Hiway Hauler. It hasn't been in the basic single packges for a couple years but they still use it for collectible stuff, $3 and up.
Treasure Hunts are no longer indicated with a green stripe on the card. Watch my 2013 New Treasure Hunt vid for the info.
If you go to the SouthTexasDiecast website, they have a Hot Wheels Guide with a list of the cars so far for 2013. As for what has not appeared in stores yet, no, I do not have any information.

Thanks. I didn't know at the time what was happening with the international packages. I have changed the description under the video to let International collectors know that they get the same cars and Hunts that we do but the text isn't behind the model.

My local Walmart,up here, in Quebec ,did received a bunch of 2013 HW last friday! Man, i tell you,they are great! I did find the postal truck,but thanks to you, i now know thats a TH!!! But all the ones i bought have great colors,realy nice decos ,looks like we will have an other great year! thanks :-)

Some people have cracked open their 2013 bread box to find a code next to the new TH logo on the other side. Do you know what this is about?
The Ecto was in the basic line up over a year ago. There will be another version ($5) coming very soon.

If an eBay seller makes a custom Treasure Hunt, they should be labeling their item as a 'Custom'. If they don't, you can report them to eBay for fraud. Thanks for sharing your perspective on the new Treasure Hunt system.

I just started collecting Hot wheels and just got use to the green stripes and now they changed it way to go Mattel for confuseing us all lol ....realy enjoy the videos keep up the good work
Correct. Basics have the circular flame logo, Supers have special paint and tires.
hey man i just started watching hw vids and i found yours one of the most nformative, when i saw you reveal the chevelle super treasure hunt i almost freaked BECAUSE a couple weeks ago i picked up a couple hot wheels cars and i got that super then i gave it to my grandpa because he likes old cars... we should be on high alert now for collectors on what to look for, for treasure hunts lol
wow what a shake up for 2013! I'm really gonna have to pay more attention from now on. Maybe I'll start getting my hands on more treasure hunts now. On the other hand I've NEVER found a TH in any stores in my area. A relative of mine found me one at Dollar Tree of all places. The other two I have I got from sealed cases.

I got to look through my first 2013 boxes today. I found a super treasure hunt, but wasn't sure about the normal treasure hunts. I'm pretty sure i saw a few bread box's too. Cheers for the info
Mattel shows upcoming releases on their HotWheelsCollectors website. The Sneak Peaks section is on the lower right-hand side.
so for 2013 are they going to a basic car and regular treasure hunt of the same car like they did for the supers in 2012?along with the supers? one basic one super?
I agree that 2012 was a pretty cool method. As a collector, you will know what the Hunts are without needing the green banner.
Been collecting Hotwheels seriously just 10 days .now.&.came to know your channel .& guess what i landed a Hotwheels Toyoto 2000GT Super Treasure Hunt 2013 ..!!

In a sense, Treasure Hunts are limited editions. Each one has their designated production time and are not produced again. They are hard to find because everybody buys them up.
Man you know a lot! This is great! I cant afourd buying lots of cars becouse of the crises here in europe. Im going to be looking only for treasur hunts a super treasur hunts. That´s the car´s im going to buy for 2013 until im an old guy! :D

Yes, it is still a Treasure Hunt. I hear that the international packages may not have the ext on the package behind the model. You can tell if it is an Int'l package if there are multiple languages on the back of the package.
I will share as much information as possible. But you should know what to look for whether I tell you or not.
@Ezzy Mo I agree. I only liked the paint job on a few Supers.
