- Here's the first official assortment for 2013! The first 15 minutes is my usual pulling the cars out of the case but the last ten minutes is talking about 2012 cars carry-overs and showing how sub-series will be spread out amongst the major groups (HW Imagination, HW Showroom, HW Racing, HW Stunt, HW City).

Thanks, I messed up. Yes, I confused the Vampyra being a 2012. I was trying to quickly make a point at the end of the video and I made a mistake. The sub-series might be contained within the specific segment. It might be the New Models that will be spread out amongst the major Segments and not the other various series.
Geez, I can talk, LOL! I only talked about the backs of the cars this time so that the newer collectors can get a grip on what's going on. For the next case, I won't be going into so much details about the sub-series. Like I said, I just want to focus on the cars. As for those people who got to complete series, that's their bed that they choose to sleep in =)

I get a strong feeling that Mattel would like for adult collectors to leave the basic Treasure Hunts for the kids. Congrats on finding a handful of 2012 Supers! Many collectors believe that removing the green stripe greatly increased the odds of collectors finding the Supers.
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, Muscle Mania continues for 2013. The main segment will of course be Showroom. But there appears to be two different Muscle sub-segments. There is a HW Performance (Muscle) '69 Mercury Cougar Eliminator out now but there is also HW G-Machines (Muscle) with a '71 HEMI Cuda in candy red and a '70 Monte Carlo in blue coming soon. It may take a couple more cases before we really understand. It sure would be nice if Mattel gave us a list =)

congrats on that sweet Torino STH. That spectra Aqua is my favorite color for the STHs. My fav from this case has to be that Purple Passion. Growler in chrome is on my wish list.
The Ralph's bags have some Matchbox 5-packs that I picked up at the convention. Yes, I will be showing them in detail in the future.
I agree. One of the complaints that Mattel hears about every year is the small text on the cards. Yet, they keep goofing around with the cards and still putting small text. Some of us are getting older, you know!

There is a person on the Hot Wheels website who swears there's a THunt in EVERY case, no matter how many of us who buy cases tell him this same thing. Nice video.

Let's enjoy the A case assortments before we start to get antsy for the B cases =) I will be looking again at the segments from this A case because I goofed up a little bit.

Nice informational video. Glad to see that the Hot Wheels Mainline has improved a lot with some realistic licensed cars. (Especially the Celica) Grabbed some at Walmart, but a couple days later, the 2013s were completely gone! Suppose people really want the new models. Interesting to see that they're still releasing 2012s... Hope to see 2013 Boulevards soon.

I'm not sure what you are referring to when you talk about a 2011 Bedlam Stun Team series but the Bedlam model is smaller than the Hyper Truck.
@MadViper. spencer There are two levels. Basic and Super. Supers have rubber tires, special paint. Basic Treasure Hunts have plastic wheels, regular paint and the blue circle flame logo.

Hey Racegrooves! Great video. I went to check my Ford Grand Torino for the flame on the card but it wasn't there! Super treasure hunt model, reflective paint and rubber tires but no flame logo! Super cool stuff!
Hot Wheels are basically released every 3-4 weeks. If Walmarts are getting Dump Bins, then it would be in a similar cycle. I do no keep track of whether WM gets the bins every case code. It seems to me that they do not.
From a case of 72 cars, I counted 30 from 2012. Hoping my case has more 2013 cars. Wouldn't mind the Red Bird and Mystery Machine though...

ya i used to collect coins and now started this ....but u know all these cars are really hard to find in other countries sply in India..i don''t know why.. so just @racegrooves is a great channel gives me the pleasure of watch different type of cars...;)

Sealed cases can be purchased from eBay. They are about $100 with tax and shipping.

Reverb hasn't been released in a few years. You will have to find one at a collector show or online places such as eBay.
The yellow stripe on the card of the F1 Racer says something to the effect that it is great on the track.
Hey Mark thanks for sharing this with us. I agree that this year is going to be rather confusing. I'll be honest and say that I think I bought a lot more in 2012 than I really had to. I think I'll be focusing more on cars I like rather than getting as many as possible.
Hey glad to see that Mini Countryman. Looks pretty cool. As I recall, I believe that was originally a 2012 release but it was replaced with the Monster Dairy Delivery IIRC.

Yes, a few videos ago, I did a review on the Custom '71 El Camino (Team Hot Wheels Leader). congrats on the Jammers. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. I think WM sold out of them for awhile because they are not sending me the ten that I ordered. The are only sending six, I think.
Just wanted to let you know that because of this video i found both the Bread box and the Super T-hunt torino tonight. I would have had NO CLUE the Bread box was a t-hunt if you wouldn't have pointed it out in this video. Thanks Again. James

I have no idea when you local stores will be receiving the A cases.
10-packs do not contain exclusive cars. That's why you already found the green BMW 2002 and the Citroen Rally in them. However, you may find wheel variations in the 10-packs =)

Yes, the Super is a nice looking car! Even Poochefmarrowbee found one and he didn't even know it was a Super! He just thought that it was a great looking car!

I don't have any information regarding any upcoming Wall Tracks sets yet.
Some great video's, It's a shame our packages in the UK are different, we have the silly Red, Blue, Green and yellow teams so they don't mark the packaging with the sub-section! Also a little harder to spot the T-Hunts, but after watching your video's i now know what im looking for in 2013!

i had watched this video yesterday and i was like man what if i found one of those $upers on the pegs and today i went to my local wal-mart and i almost had a heart attack! i had found my first $uper and i have only been collecting for about 3 weeks, gotta love beginners luck =)
The Olds 442 W-30 could be a Super in the future, I wouldn't know right now.
Only time will tell if they finally have an FTE release also be a Treasure Hunt.

Sorry, I have no idea if you will be finding the Mars Rover. Hopefully, stores in your area will get older cases that had the Rover. It is not unusual for Dollar Stores to get older merchandise.
Treasure Hunts are just another series but they are more limited than regular releases. Please search UA-cam for my 2013 Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt Information And New Segmenting presentation. It will explain it better.

You're not flying blind if you keep abreast of the collector news =) But I understand what you are saying. Matchbox doesn't put any information at all as to whether a model is a first release and I can't keep track of what I have and what I don't.
just a question do you know if any T Hunts with the flame logo is going to be at k-day?
I got my mstery machine for 2012 with a yellow strip. Cool how it is 2013 also. I think now in 2013 the treasure hunts are now true treasure hunts because you have to look for them, instead of just, bloop, green strip, Treasure Hunt! Good mocking in this video those who don't know Hot Wheels switch the treasure hunts. I see it on eBay all the time. Thanks for the excellent videos!

Actually, it is easier to find the track stars. There is a yellow stripe in the upper left-hand corner that says Track Stars or it says Great For The Track
i agree with you. Theres too many segments, sub segments and whatnot. But they remove the scan barcode logo on the front of the card which was on the top left corner of the 2012 card

Those green stripes are going fool the "cherry pickers" for a while. Some of the categories look a bit confusing got Ferrari, BMW and Lamborghini all in different sections. Like you say buy what you like. Think I'll be doing that:) Thanks for the heads up great convention vids to.
I will never do a complete collection video. I have over 7,000 pieces. It took me 25 minutes to talk about the 72 in this video. How long do you think the video would be with 7,000 cars LOL! I bring out my old stuff when I can tell a story and make it interesting.
Oh yeah, that's the one, Corvette ZR1. I couldn't think of it fast enough and I wasn't going to say something that was wrong and face the wrath of my viewers LOL!
