Hey Paul, I've not thought about doing a review if I'm being honest. The jacket is an Arktis Combat Smock, this is the standard one but they do a waterproof one as well. Here is the link if you're interested. store.arktis.co.uk/collections/b110-combat-smock
I was in the Army in the late 80s/early 90s and we were still issued the old olive green poncho to sleep under. I now use a basha in DPM and it's huge in comparison, perfect for rainy woodland camping, there's space to chill out and cook and sit up if you want.
@@stevenhoward1570 Didn't know that, thanks for the heads up. However I do prefer DPM to MTP as it seems better for northern European woodland - which it was designed for. I can do invisible stealth camping with it and a small cam net.
I remember that from TA in the 80s - you'd buddy up with another lad, one would put his poncho down as groundsheet then bungee up the other one as cover overhead
Hey Steve, Its just simple and easy to use and if set correctly will keep the rain and weather of you. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and thank you for your service. Atb G
Great video B.G. thank you for sharing! I often use a BASHA in desert camo, it looks a little bit weird in the forest but I like this thing so much! All the best from 🇦🇹🤠👍🏕🔥
Ahh the BASHA has saved me from countless freezing cold soaking wet nights in the field whoever invented the waterproof poncho should be given the Victor Cross for saving countless squadys kn the field
Great camp big G like the jacket have you done a review on that yet looks warm m8 keep them coming big G

I was issued a poncho, rolled up in a 58 pattern poncho roll! Thanks for watching Atb G🐾
The MTP basha is slightly bigger than the DPM one, if you need slightly more space.

Time to get out.
Cause I really enjoyed that.
Great video, mate! Keep the quality content coming.
Thanks for watching! Atb G🐾
The gram counters will disagree, but you can't beat a basha. Enjoyed that video, thanks as always for bringing us along 👍
Hey Barney, it's simple and effective. The Poncho is lighter but I like the basha, bit more heavy duty. Atb G🐾
Used that for years when was in the arm force

Nice hexi burner also 👍

I'm planning using a army basha or tarp more often in the rain to make life easier. I dont have much space at home to dry kit. Atb Taff 🤠👊
That's what getting out is all about! If there's another attempt at the world record bivvy camp please let me know🙏. Stay safe G🐾atvb 👍🦊
