  • Today's video is a continuation of the previous service video, where I'll change the standard paper air filter to the K&N sport high flow air filter. This modification will allow your motorbike to breed better because this filter is high flow air filter so more air will go inside your engine, which theoretically should slightly increase the engine power. Definitely after this modification it will change the sound of your air intake.
I will show you also how to in easy steps reset that service light from the dash. Unfortunately to reset the service light on Triumph motorcycles you will need to have some special diagnostic tools and software which you will have to pay for.
In my opinion the TuneECU, is the cheapest and easiest way to do it if you want to do the service reset on your own. Also, the TuneECU, will give you more functions than only reset the service on your motorbike. you can also diagnose the faults codes, change and reset the TPMS sensors. test different bike components , or even flash ECU with new fuel maps.

I have the same exact RS carbon black model too !
Any idea how to check the odometer (it seems higher than the actual distance) if it needs calibration ?

To check the odometer on STRS, you have to use a joystick on the left handlebar , then you have to scroll down to service information, and then on the top right corner you will have information about the total adometer.
Also every time you turn ignition on the total mileage is displayed very quickly for a couple seconds.
If I'm not mistaken TuneECU also has an odometer function, but I didn't try it, so I don't know if this function is for checking the mileage or calibration.

Nice tutorial, but I think you could do harm to the engine changing to hiflow air filter. Bike runs on lean mixture by default to meet emission regulations. Providing more air, mixture will be more lean. If you care about your bike I would go for ECU tuning.

This is my next step, to flash ECU with a better fuel map. I have noticed that a bike with a stock ECU fuel map runs very lean, that's why I've changed the filter and booked the bike for ECU remapping. However I decided at the moment to keep the stock exhaust.

@@darekz9777 take a look on Rapid Bike products with its capability of fueling auto-tune. I'm considering this device in my '24 model.

Thank you, I'll have a look at it.
I have the TuneECU app and bluetooth dongle, and I've seen on TuneECU forum, that this app is able to flash ECU with new fuel maps. There are also lots of different maps on this forum to download.
