Hi my name is Danielle, welcome to my True Crime and Makeup series! I’ve been interested in true crime for the longest time now, what started with me watching true crime on TV with my Nan from a young age eventually turned into studying for a degree in Law & Criminology.
When I first watched Bailey Sarian’s series I was completely hooked, I loved how she had combined two of the things I’m most passionate about and delivered it so well. She totally inspired me to take the leap and do the same thing on my channel, so all credit for the idea goes 100% to her.
I’m from the UK and will be covering cases from both the UK and internationally, let me know if there are any cases that you’d like to see from me! More cases will be coming soon so please subscribe if you enjoyed this video!

Andreas is the biggest victim of this whole tragedy. His whole world crashed. He lost his parents, his tutor, his sister, everything in such a gruesome way. I'm Brazilian and it's always sad when news about him comes up from time to time. Seeing how he dove into drugs, lived on the streets and never really recovered just breaks my heart. His suffering started that day and never ended.

Yeah, I heard of this case before, but I didn’t know that she had her younger brother find them. That clinches it, she didn’t actually care about Andreas and the impact her actions (all of the trio’s actions) made on his life. She didn’t protect him from the bad influences. She introduced him to substances, then encouraged/enabled his substance addiction. She eliminated any previous notion of safety that he had, and alienated him from those who truly cared about him-the parents. Having Andreas find them, that’s a cruelty that no one should ever have to endure, let alone at the hands of his big sister.

    • @cassie1264

That is so sad to hear. Not only did his sister and her boyfriend introduce him to drugs, but then they put him through such devastating trauma that pushed him further into addiction. Meanwhile, his parents' killers are out there getting married and starting families. That's absolutely disgusting.

    Hi Danielle.
Let me explain some aspects of Brazil for non-Brazilian people to better understand the part that you said that she didn't leave at university campus and the best law school=
1st. In Brazil, most colleges do not have dormitories. That is, if we go to college close to home, it is common for us to continue living with our family. It is even common for some people to live with their parents and take the 2 hour bus to go to college in another city and come back to sleep at home. Even when we go to college in cities far from home, we live in rented apartments. The reality is that the dorms are for people who need assistance programs to go to college (but only a few can get this assistance programs because there are only few, about only 5% of students get it and it is linked to very low income) or for those who go to colleges associate to the Brazilian armed forces.
2nd Suzane's parents studied at one of the best public colleges in the country and one of the most competitive. Public colleges in Brazil are the most difficult to pass the entrance exam. Suzanne failed to pass this college and any other public one. It was only approved in one particular, which despite being very good, is considered easier access for people with money. Therefore, for parents who value education so much, it can be embarrassing and disappointing for their children not to go to a public college.

    • @unfurlinglotusflower6939
      @unfurlinglotusflower6939 Рік тому +19

In New York, there is a Son of Sam law where victims of crimes are notified if the convicted criminal of the crime committed against them makes more than $10,000 from any source, allowing the victims to sue. In federal court, Son of Sam clause has been added to plea deals like for John Walker Linda (American Taliban is what he’s better known as). Any profit from book or movie deals he and others who have made the deal make are turned over to the US Treasury. It’s so they can’t profit off their notorious crimes. The problem with the blanket laws are they have been struck down before because of first amendment rights in the US.

I get your point and I know that it’s not on the same level as being abused but when Danielle was outlining the schedule her and her brother followed I knew that was going to be the situation. Kids need routine and they subconsciously seek it out, but kids also need down time and play time (depending on age for playing) so that they don’t end up resentful and wound too tight. Obviously that doesn’t excuse murder but balance really is the key.

Hey Dani! I'm from Brazil (São Paulo as well and live pretty close to the mansion, fun fact: it was demolished and doesn't exist anymore) I love your approach in all of your cases and love to see one from Brazil! I saw that other comments already cleared up some of the doubts when it comes to universities and house staff etc.
Just wanted to clear up some other things:
    1. Andreas actually didn't discover the bodies. When they got to the house they noticed that the door was opened, so Suzane phoned the police, because she thought that someone might be there and wanted to report the robery. When the cops arrived they searched the house and found the bodies. When they broke the news to her, daniel and andreas (they were waiting outside) she just said "okay and what do I do now?" (Afterwards the cop told he was shocked and taken back by that answer).
    2. The cash stollen and used by Cristian to buy the motorbike was in Euro and Dollars (not used in brazil). The guy from the shop found that VERY suspicious and phoned the police, thats how they found out and brought him for questioning.
    3. In the street where the mansion was located there was a local guard post (commun in rich neighborhoods here in brazil) and he saw Suzane's car passing by (that first time when she went in with cristian and daniel to commit the murder) and he knew the EXACT time, because he was watching the soccer game on tv, and in that exact moment his team scorred. That surved as evidance against Suzane.
    4. Something the police found strange straight away with Suzanes testimony is that she said that her dad's cash was stollen from his office (it was kept in a locked suitcase), because she saw that the suitcase was ripped and empy. What the police already knew from the crime.scene investigation is that the ripped part was turned downways, so when you looked at it, you couldnt see that the suitcase was emptied AND it was behind a study desk, where you couldnt see straight away when walking in the room. They were like "how could she know that"
    5. Another evidence in the crime scene is the water jar found next to the couples bed. That is because the kitchen wasn't touched unlike some of the other rooms (office and master bedroom), so that jar was taken very easly from there, the person knew EXACTLY where to look.
    6. Unfortunately these "vacations" during prison here in Brazil are REALLY comum...
Thanks Dani for the amazing video!
    ❤🇧🇷

Hi Dani, I am Brazilian and this case is still so relevant to us to this day because it was so shocking and gruesome, thank you for bringing it on your channel! I wanted to bring some information about some things that are very different in Brazil that might make you guys confused, in here we don’t live in college campuses, that is usually not a thing, only federal universities have that and they are only for low income students. Also, the best universities in Brazil are government schools, and they are the hardest ones to get in. Suzanne didn’t have the grades to get in one of those, so her parents would pay A LOT of money for her to study for a law degree on a private university that she wasn’t even going to her classes, so that’s why her parents were so strict about this. Really loved this video, thank you, queen!

Hey, Roni. In Brazil we don't have neither death penalty nor life sentence, so everyone is eligible for leaving jail after serving their time. The maximum service is 30 years, I believe, and many prisoners (specially the richer who can afford good lawyers) get reductions throughout the years for good behavior, attending classes, etc. We even have these "vacations" in which the prisoner can enjoy free holidays and come back to prison afterwards. In a short while they downgrade to semi open and open conditions before total release. The closest thing we have to life sentence are judicial asylums, reserved only for the really brain sick. Unfortunately, many psychopats don't fall under this condition.

@@bethmahadocon1887 I'm not an expert, but I believe some prisons offer better conditions than others. The prison Suzane went to is know as "the prison of the stars" because most of the mediatic convicts end up there, since in "normal" prisons those would have their lives finished pretty soon. We see in the video that she was able to work as dressmaker inside this prison. The conditions there seem to be close to ideal.

Crimes like this we never forget the perpetrator, but when they're released they're harassed to scrutiny. There's a case of a woman called elise matsunaga who killed her husband in an extremely violent way, she got released an now works as an uber (which is really bad since your paycheck is low), but as soon she signed in for work her account was leaked and probably she had to change jobs
Note: although we want harsher penalties in our constitution you can be imprisoned up to 40 years (mostly you can reduce your time due to good behavior) since our prison population is really high, that's why most of times criminals wait for their judgements with provisional release. In case of installing more imprisonment time like life in prison or death penalty it'll be necessary to create a whole new constitution, since the current one prohibits those 2

These stories, of these entitled, rich kids are becoming all too common. (Joel Guy Jr?) There's currently one going on in the US now where a grown man, a lawyer, & another one where Mom took care of him & bailed him out (literally) his whole life, also ended up dead. On the day he was to turn himself in to serve 15yrs after skamming his client's out of alot of money (familiar?), he bludgeoned her to death in her own home, whilst his favorite lunch was cooking on the stove! I'll NEVER understand these entitled little brats! I say to all the 'yes' & in denial parents out there, STOP! As a Brazilian I grew up listening about this case and you brought some facts that I didn't know and it felt like it was the first time I heard about it. This case is like my number one example of how failed our prison system is, how can someone murder their parents and still gets a day off of prison to celebrate? It's a disrespect towards Andreas and the family. I still can’t believe that she's out there, living her life like what she had done never happened, even though she served her sentence it’s something you can't erase, I just hope that Andreas is okay after those traumatic days.
I've been wanting to comment on your videos for a while but I just kept getting delayed. I really love your videos, the way you tell those cases like it's from a storybook and how respectful you are towards the victims.
Thanks for covering this case, I really hope to see more Brazilian cases in here. 🇧🇷

That was worth the little time we had to wait, Danielle. I love your videos bc of how much you focus on the victims at the end. You're always kind and considerate. Your compassion shines through. And as horrific as these cases are, your sarcasm toward the criminals makes the cases a tad bit lighter. Not a lot bc they are always terrible but you really can tell a story and make it interesting!

Danielle, you are the best because you speak with such care and compassion. I look forward to hearing the truth and your opinions because you show empathy when and where it’s needed and push the right narratives along side these horrendous and heart breaking cases. I think you bring nothing but justice with your explanations of these cases. Thankyou for being so lovely and kind.

1minute in, but just wanted to come in here and say thank you for your dedication in delivering these videos for us, I'm from South Africa, and most of your cases I have not heard of, and because of you I learn a lot from cases all over the globe. Much love 💗
Edit: it's so frustrating that Suzane ended up wealthy without any effort. This ending was definitely a shock.
On a lighter note, I love the purple 💜

I love your videos! So detailed! I appreciate you taking the time to actually research these cases. Your the only UA-camr who can keep me watching a video for an hour or more! I’ve seen a few of the same cases a few times from other UA-camrs and your videos ALWAYS out beats the others when it comes to information and research.

Suzanne's brother is the one who is the real victim. She dragged him into that destructive life style of chaos and drugs, murdered his parents leaving him completely alone in the end while everyone else was in prison. Sure he won the inheritance money (thank God!) But that'll never buy back his parents and the beautiful family he once had. 😢

LOVE your channel & podcast so much!! Its hard to find good true crimes u-tubers- even though they are everywhere. I think, including you, there’s 4 people I will watch with respect! I appreciate & love your obvious passion, dedication to research & facts, not just the facts but the coverage of the entire case! I’ve watched a few people cover some of the same cases you’ve done & I find myself getting mad, literally mad, because the facts may (may:) be there but without all the proper context & background. They can almost feel like different cases that make it impossible to get anything out of or learn anything from. And often don’t give the viewer a accurate account of the people involved… or the reasons, not excuses, but just the facts about what the people who commit these horrendous unforgivable disgusting crimes have been through themselves, that we can gain insight from & hopefully raise awareness on some issues. Frat boy cannibal & Jaime Osuna come to mind immediately. I love how you make your videos educational, interesting, and funny. We need a little funny in some of these cases- coming from a therapist in child protection services, if we don’t laugh, we may not make it through the day 😅. You absolutely crack me up sometimes and the best thing is I think it’s your natural personality that makes me smile & get through these cases with you. I want to be British so bad anytime you say “what the actual hell” & a few other phrases I’m blanking on at the moment. Thank you so much for time, effort, & love you bring to each case!!

This case is so sad and irritating. I'm glad you're not allowed to profit off your own crimes in the US. I wonder what difference could've been made if her parents had kicked her out, changed the locks and alarm codes, and cut her off when they discovered she'd been lying about not seeing Daniel anymore. She never should've been allowed to have a dime of her parent's estate or been let out of prison. Who the hell gets vacation from prison especially after orchestrating the brutal murder of your own parents? No one should get vacations from prison anywhere, it's not a freaking job, you're there for a reason. I feel really bad for her brother. I pray he was able to find some peace moving forward.

GREAT APPROACH on this case. I lived through it, as I'm also born in São Paulo and just 5 years older than Suzanne. I didn't know many of the details on Daniel's influence in Suzanne's behavior because the local media tend to focus mainly on her and I didn't dig too deeply at the time. I knew about the miserable state in wich Andreas was left but didn't know she inherited the offshore accounts at the end. That's really disgusting. Thank you again and I hope to see Brazil covered more times in here. If you really wanna be pissed off with a justice system... then be my guest. :)

Unfortunately she's in college, her parents can't tell her who to date. Why they should have done is kick here out, help her get an apt and made her pay the rest of her way. She would have learned real quick when he bf wouldn't get a job too and she had no money to live on
