This video is genuinely helpful. For years, I suffer from hair loss in my crown area. 😢 Ever since I saw your earlier video on hair care, I tried to hunt for some of the products you mentioned and started double cleansing too. So far, my scalp has had lesser hair fall. I hope it continues to get better. Thank you for making light hearted videos like these that always prove helpful!
I hope you guys talk about clarifying shampoo in part 2! Like, do I really need it, under what circumstances, what properties/ingredients should I look for, and where in the routine does it go?
I have curly hair so it’s always looked like I was shedding enough to make a wig, or second me - kinda like those dog grooming videos where they show a massive pile of fur as big as the dog at the end. Then my health started to rapidly decline over a decade ago and I was diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases along with a number of chronic conditions and now take the medication that go with them. They’ve made self care pretty difficult at times, and finding products to help my hair loss, ease my scalp discomfort, work with my curls AND don’t have products I’m allergic or sensitive to is so difficult. Hopefully these videos will help 😊
I hope she goes into some ingredients we should use and avoid in part two! My scalp has been similar to yours since I had a baby four years ago. I *think* I'm finally getting back to normal but need a good maintenance routine.
LOVED THE VIDEO!! I'd really appreciate it if you could make more videos on hair care basics (just a suggestion)...been here since 1M subs and I love this community
for dry flaky scalp that’s not dandruff, you can make a salt scrub to exfoliate your scalp. just mix fine sea salt and deep conditioner together and rub on scalp. make mixture prior to using; it does not store well. you can also use a glycolic acid or lactic acid like from the ordinary, but make sure to rinse out shortly after. (i accidentally let it sit in my hair and put it up in a ponytail, and i had major hair breakage. rinsing it out after 10 mins or so has helped my scalp with zero hair breakage.) can also help soothe dry scalp with jojoba oil, castor oil, etc.
The problem I have is a very dry scalp and very dry skin all over my body actually. I’ve tried finding synthetic sebum to help but the closest thing I could find was extremely expensive.
Really interesting video thank you. I suffer from oily itchy psoriasis and always washing my hair! So in theory it’s best to go sulphate and what was the other? Free?
As much as I want healthy scalp I am guilty of hair dyed and using hair straightener bc it gets frizzy when I wake up. But I can’t leave my hair unwashed 😢
how can I tell if i have oily seb dermatitis, or dry flakes or whatever else i get red bumps too, i get itchy all over seems oily like you only in that top back area but my hairline has flakes alot too not right away after shower but after couple of days but sometimes showering more is better sometimes going 2 weeks feels better and longer i stop itching again seems like too many variables. to add i was thinning my density overall on mid scalp is lower and slightly hair line too but on mids so its stopped.
I'm sorry, but I need to mention this: I have a contact allergy induced scalp condition with a long medical history and mental health problems due to that and find scalp camera close ups (even when the skin is healthy) extremely triggering. So I'm not watching this video. If possible please do not put these kind of skin close ups in the thumbnail in the future. Every time I had to scroll past it in my subscription box I felt sick. Sorry, I really love your channel and this is not the feedback I want to give, and I really would have liked to watch this video, but since I'm not sure when the scalp camera photos are on screen I really can't.
she's heerre! Ro and I are finally back from our vacation in Jan, and just getting all our content up to speed. We're going to be doing an updates video soon together too, so stay tuned for that 💗 - fel

Very resourceful. Please suggest some affordable but good alternatives for dry scalp .

This helped me so much! You helped me realize that I might not have dandruff!

I can't wait for the next episode because I myself have been having problems lately with an oily scalp and very dry ends.
Ngl I kinda got worried when I saw she does harry styles hair. He has a reputation of not having good hair 😅
real, also trichologists are not medically certified so when she said sulfates are bad i was like 🤨😐
@Maria B I mean his hair is always oily. And his toupee was half glued on and practically flying off one time while he was performing
@Lewis yeah I thought he does it himself as well until this video. I can’t believe he pays someone to do that
Excited for part 2!
This is so interesting- not something I feel people talk about a lot. Thanks for helping us learn!

Maybe it's worth trying squalane oil? It mimics our natural oils pretty well.
have you tried using jojoba oil?
@@whooareyoou and @me I haven’t tried either of those. Thank you for your suggestion! Anything helps. I’ll be checking them out.
@@fjp9do you use that before or after washing?
Oiling your scalp :)
