Weirdly I had the first migraine in a couple of years, a few days after this. I got some new to me drugs that killed it in a couple three hours. Ubrelvy.
I only had a proper migraine aura once. Usually it is just strong & weird headaches, eyes feeling like they're about to pop and my stomach wanting to crawl out of my throat. Luckily pain meds like Ibuprofen work well for me, as long as I take enough.
First time I got occulor migraine (visual migraines with aura) I thought I was having a stroke.. I guess I am lucky because I don't get the migraine pain.. I used to, but the meds they put me on took away the pain but made the occulor migraine more common, lucky they only last about 1 hours at the most, and only happens 3-4 times a year. but very freakish the first time it happened.. had no idea migraines were visual until it happened to me. Why SE is not so popular? Requies high-end PC, and even with that, SE can go: "F**k you i need 64GB more memory you pleb." All they need to do is polishing, and optimizing. Crafting, exploring sandbox games have a huge market. The reason is why Minecraft is the number one? Its simple. Its can run on almost any laptop, and PC out there, with no mayor problem. Keep up the great work, you guys bring me joy from week to week. I hope the next series will be the Wrong Swim Aside, with water mod.
I agree but disagree a bit. For starters, SE runs smoothly with low preset and 1/2 res (1368x912, because native SP7 res is stupidly high for iris plus) in my i5 8gb surface pro and "runs" in my friend's i3 4gb at 1/3 res ish. Bear in mind that these models didn't have any kind of cpu fans whatsoever. I also runs mods akin to Splitsie's list with more added. I also tried on an i3 6006u 4gb with gt 730 iirc acer aspire, my previous laptop and it runs fairly good comparable to my SP7. So I disagree a bit that SE requires high end pc. I run Minecraft Java at 1/2 res "medium"-like (especially the chunk load). Minecraft bedrock though, runs great at default. But yes, while it runs fairly well, I agree it runs unstable (overall gameplay not fps wise) with multiplayer, praise be o lord Klang almighty. While Minecraft runs stable with hundreds of players. comparing vanilla to vanilla, SE lacked "content" compared to Minecraft, or even to Ark. The economy update feels hollow compared to, say, villager trading. And the exploration of SE is also kinda uninteresting, which why Splitsie gave himself self imposed restrictions to make it more interesting such as in SI or WWD/U.
@@Chronostra Yeah i agree vanilla is run smooth, untill you want to expand the building on to a next level. In a vanilla vs vanilla situation Minecraft still have an adventage, because you can go wild in builds, with out high impact on performance, even on low-end laptops. In a modded situation the gap is even bigger. Minecraft can handle 300 mods and shaders and texture packs with a low risk of crash, meanwhile SE have a higher risk of crash with relative few mods. But its understandable because SE use way more mechanics in the background than most of the sandbox games. But its a mayor reason why SE is lacking players. A sandbox game is great because of other players, and not because of the content. But SE in multiplayer is fall behind of "casual" sandbox games.
@@davidvigh8781 in this, I agree. The stupid high and persistent computation for voxel deformation in SE is not helping either. Meanwhile MC is generation only.
lolz! = Capac looked at the Crane Sideways and it freaked out! regarding the Deck Edge weaponry = step them down 1 block from the Deck level and let them poke out 1 block further away from the Deck Edge. this way, additional mounts can be placed to bolster PDS capability against missiles and Bombs. seems DE really has something to say about W4sted's Plane. cut it a little close to the cliff there Splitsie, I could count the Lizards on that Rock! what could be more enjoyable than Southern Fried Splitsie! in my LG Rovers, Ground side access is done by building a Cargo container through the floor via a Conveyor to get it low enough to reach under 5x5 wheels. placed between an axle pair will help keep it from hitting the ground and is also shielded by Armor blocks around it. the Hitch proves you can accelerate the entire Rover to Ludacris Speed!!!!!
I started a new mostly-vanilla (plus a couple of mods) world on a moon base. After struggling with wheeled rovers, I decided to switch to solar/hydrogen shuttles. Crashed my first shuttle because of course it didn't have enough H2 to make it to the nearest ice lake, managed to bail out before killing myself. Although losing that 2 hours' worth of work was a little bit of a bummer, watching it blow up and throw stuff everywhere was oddly satisfying.
The aerodynamics mode has me perplexed. I made a plane and sometimes it flies perfectly level without any input but other times it spins out of control. No moving parts and no subgrids aside from the wheels and any time I change it I copy/paste from the original hanging on the crane so it's a new grid spawning in.
Splitsie, seems your migraine comes with something I get sometimes, that I refer to as “game sickness”. Mostly only strikes if I use a third person perspective, though most seem to get it playing first person. It can actually trigger (or is an early warning sign of) migraines for me.
@@Chronostra I would agree, third person for me is fine. But as soon as the fps drops below 30 everything gives me a headache if it's a fast paced game. VR I'm fine so I know it's not motion sickness, running 50+FPS on a beefy pc.
I suspect in the initial phase of my migraine playing a game didn't help, in the future I might postpone things until I've had a chance to lie down for a bit and get through the nausea part
@@Splitsie You're composure was phenomenal. I get bad headaches, nowhere near migraine level, and I would have been twisting necks shut and laying waste to the area. I probably would have shot Capac there at the start, just on general principles. "I've got a headache, go away". ;) But the whole trip with a migraine? Among your many other talents, you have impressive control, my friend.
I know that I'm a bit behind on this one, but I think you still need a thank you and a lecture!! Thank you for your content and trying so hard when unwell to keep us entertained! You did real well and the guys were wonderful as well! There was so much stuff to laugh at, especially the near decapitation of the Elon Thrust, which you also flew beautifully. Lecture... You really really really need to be more careful with your health, the fact that you were suffering really hurt, and makes me and probably a lot of other people worry about you doing yourself a mischief! Would rather you delay a stream than put so much stress on yourself! I hope the guys and your better half gave you a scolding!
Getting Capac to drive, Splitsie forgot the first episode already :D On the idea of folding gun turrets for the runway, there's a mod on Steam that gives you buried PCM turrets as featured in ' The Expanse ' if you've ever seen it.
you could just place one of those standing buttons somewhere nearby and a timer to switch lock on that mag plate and reset it after like 15-20 seconds. They have like 3 or so buttons on them.
On the override, if only we could use Hotas controllers and sliders. Imagine putting the override on a slider, and being able to use that to slide it between 0 and 100% thrust. Maybe a foot pedal would also work, this would at least be great for wheels. And now I'm imaging a plane in SE, where the wheels use foot pedals for analog inputs in propulsion, and setting up gyros + trailing edges on hinges to the joystick. Two joysticks, one for third person camera/camera block panning, and one for direction control, with thrust set to a small slider box.. That'd be the dream. Edit: I've been trying to use the controller. It isn't intuitive to me, as I've been a KB+M gamer most of my life. I do however have some findings that are rather cool. For vehicles with no gyro control for the user, it is pretty nifty to use a controller. Movement becomes analog, which means that you can easily choose how much you accelerate at any point. This can be handy for rovers with no gyro control AND for airplanes. I use the mod Advanced Fly Module 2.0, and it takes care of most of the gyro work when turning. Using it with this, makes for very easy and fluid turns! I do have to do the prep work for takeoff with the mouse and keyboard, but once ready to take off, switch to controller, sit back, and cruise! Very enjoyable.
It would be very nice if we could use something like an override on a slider control or have some better controller based vehicle controls, something more similar to GTAV or other controller focused games
It's rare we have that much space to choose a level runway with the wind the right way, though I'm sure there are times where we could have and didn't even cross our minds :P
@@Splitsie Heh~. True enough. Maybe modify the runway trailer to be able to rotate on a rotor or something? (As if you don't have too many subgrids already :P) That would be one hell of a project and might be too late by now, but it's an idea.
For the Elon Thrust and landing, have you considered putting one of those panel landing gear on a wheel suspension facing down? If the landing gear have some spring, it might be enough for the "springy landing gear" to make contact with the ramp. The springiness of the wheel suspension might be enough, depending on the settings, to allow it to come to a less abrupt stop.
Concerning the pitch up momentum of the Elon Thrust: Have you tried adding one more gyro with a pitch override preset which you can switch on/off seperately for trim? - update after rewatching - Maybe the weight of the missing mag-plate at the front of the Elon Thrust is what's needed for more stability?
I actually watched the whole thing on the day of broadcast. Hurray, 150% playback speed :) PS: are you certain team bot didn't plant warheads under you?
Never mind sub grid doing weird things... For some reason, Space Engineers does not seem to update weight correctly when docking to another ship. I've got a miner that I've been docking to a hauler. When I fly that hauler with the miner, the dang thing always seems to want to lean on one side or the other. It does not have that issue when I fly it on its own. It is rather aggravating. Reload the game, and suddenly, everything is just fine. There's something about docking that just does something weird with the way that the grid updates. Out of all the bugs this game has, this is the one I really wish they would squash.
i would not be a good enemy bot, i would build cruise missiles and carpet bombers. i would however miss on purpose on the first run just to scare you guys.
Hi Guys! I am not really into those games or any type of game, my husband is. He has been listening for your videos for a couple of days now and I was wondering if someone had notice that one of the guys has the same voice as George Clooney. I told my husband.... what a sexy voice! Is the British George Clooney... wow! Very very similar.
Did you ever work that explosion out? I think like in your newer assertive videos when you were grinding down the welders and the ores kept coming out, DE ground down the welder and the Ice came out and caused the clang explosion lol
As someone who gets migraines a lot, I feel you splitsie. When I wake up some days I just KNOW im going to get a migraine. Its steady and it builds, and by the apex of the it im usually useless and cant do anything. It happens to me after I eat certain foods, have you looked around to find your trigger? Its helped me keep it down.
The most annoying trigger for me is sudden *relief* from stress. That sudden relaxation feeling if my day suddenly opens up or a project delivers? 50-50 chance I start to see auras within half an hour. It's why I don't take full-on vacations, in case I lose the first day or so, even with my injectors. I can handle a ramp-down from stress, but sudden relaxation is nerve-wracking.
The only trigger for me that has any sort of consistency is caffeine, when I was drinking energy drinks a few times a week I was getting migraines far more often. This is the first I've had since I almost completely cut out caffeine (still eat chocolate because c'mon) 🤪
Worlwide there's around 10 major calibres. Russian, Natoi, and Chinese Pistol and assault rifle ammo. Then russian and Nato medium calibre and HMG calibres.
I'm surprised you even went through with this if you are having a major migraine. For me, when vision is partially lost, major 24-hour headache is short to follow. I would have pulled the raincheck card. This bad acid (gotta do a pun right) is not to be messed with.
In retrospect maybe I should have, this one hit me worse than usual. Thankfully by the end the pain relief was kicking in so I was able to be somewhat normal
Oof. Auras are the worst, often worse than the migraines they foreshdow; I get them myself, and atleast you can medicate and/or work through the pain, your brain's visual centers being scrambled is just debilitating.
My guess as to why SE isnt as big as KSP would be the devs, to me at least it seems like KSP's devs care/cared more about making their game better with every update than SE's devs seem to. (addition) It could also be things like KSP having better physics where it matters, KSP having lower hardware requirements, and/or KSP just having a wider appeal than SE
hah hah hah! it looks like my suggestion for large grid welders was heard but used the week after it was given. At least it makes rebuilding small grids easier! maybe put it on the end of that weird arm yall built so it can reach places better. not to mention that having an arm with exchangeable attachments will help in general.
Is the reason for no Kamajashi point of view to do with chat performing unwanted surveillance that would spoil the surprise of the bots' activities, or something else? If the former, will a bot point of view be available after the serious has finished?
It's mostly because they literally wait around for the team to get close. But, besides that, Naburine (the wife of DE and a theatre professional) sees them as stage crew: their role is imperative to the production, but the audience isn't to see them at all, save for their interaction with set pieces.
That's a pretty good way to put it. Seeing what goes on behind the scenes would take away some of the mystery and enigma of the bots and to me that's part of their charm :)
He couldn't make it this week, no Tex for the next two weeks either. I always planned this series to have people come and go without feeling like they were holding up everyone else :)
There are some very similar mods on the workshop already, I only threw this one together to make sure I had a CC0 license sound in use which turned out to be smart since someone tried to claim one of these streams through contentID and I had the info needed to successfully dispute it :)
Seems like the "NPCs" got a little TOO upset about you shooting down the observation drone. They immediately grabbed a rocket launcher and started taking pot shots at you while trying to land. Bad form guys. That seems like a little over the top revenge type behavior, don't you think? I get the whole, lets make it more interactive, but that just seems like a bit much.
Imo Space Engineers didnt get off in popularity because as cool as it is, it feels like a tech demo. The pieces are there and fun, but there is no game behind to enjoy really. Just building for the sake of it doesnt feel as rewarding as in Minecraft, and SE handles large amount of blocks horribly, lagging out at amounts a world in MC would just be starting. There is no goals, no reason to really explore the planets aside from landing somewhere for resources and thats that. I REALLY want to love SE, but I really cant muster the interest to play because there is nothing to play. MP is fun because its your friends, more so than the game itself. And looking at most youtubers like you, Wasted, or Kanajashi, you all have to get super creative to have something to do in the game. Be it the goal of the pole here, Vanguard's story heavy narrative and rp, Kanajashi's and Survival Impossible extra difficulty to spice things up. I can just hope someday Keen makes a SE2, and builds upon what this one has and make a super cool game.
There are a lot of player made scenarios, and it isn’t hard to dig yourself into the scenarios (with story behind them) that Keen themselves produced. Funnily, my system I run Space Engineers on struggles with a lot of things, but not SE, even on really high settings and with massive amounts of construction.
minecraft also doesn;t have a physics engine, or mobile grids, or anything like SE's visual fidelity. They both have their spaces and both have merits. DE has never played minecraft. He has 2822 hours in SE. To each their own!
@@BallChainGaming The “no physics engine” bit is probably a big component of why I only have like 6 hours in Minecraft and a couple hundred in Space Engineers. Building a bunch of wacky rovers and ships, then starting on a massive garden space station (some of which is built of captured enemy installations) on an asteroid is infinitely more fun.
Yeah, the acid rain didn't work like it was supposed to and I did remove it to let us focus on other things. I can't remember precisely when I removed it though

Splitsie side slipping the Elon Thrust like he's landing a Piper Cub at 2:03:10 was hilarious and effective! Grats!
lol Thanks :)
now having seen splitsie fly the elon, I am quite impressed with wasted that he was able to make a plane so good it could be flown with a migrane
Lol that was honestly my worst ever experience with space engineers, I really shouldn't have streamed that day 🤢😂
There is a German term for making things worse by trying to improve something.
Verschlimmbessern.
I think that is mostly what Capac does. ;P
Lol though his interior design on the runway is pretty good
@@Splitsie Agreed.
lolz! = Capac looked at the Crane Sideways and it freaked out!
regarding the Deck Edge weaponry = step them down 1 block from the Deck level and let them poke out 1 block further away from the Deck Edge.
this way, additional mounts can be placed to bolster PDS capability against missiles and Bombs.
seems DE really has something to say about W4sted's Plane.
cut it a little close to the cliff there Splitsie, I could count the Lizards on that Rock!
what could be more enjoyable than Southern Fried Splitsie!
in my LG Rovers, Ground side access is done by building a Cargo container through the floor via a Conveyor to get it low enough to reach under 5x5 wheels.

the Jalopy's Gone Plaid!
I'm similarly perplexed most of the time, I just repeat things that w4sted says until he tells me I'm wrong 😂
Splitsie, seems your migraine comes with something I get sometimes, that I refer to as “game sickness”. Mostly only strikes if I use a third person perspective, though most seem to get it playing first person. It can actually trigger (or is an early warning sign of) migraines for me.
It sounds more to motion sickness, did you try to check it?
Because motion sickness, my friend cannot play FPS, let alone VR, and 3rdPS barely
@@Splitsie Would be for the best, look after your health first.
@@Splitsie You're composure was phenomenal. I get bad headaches, nowhere near migraine level, and I would have been twisting necks shut and laying waste to the area. I probably would have shot Capac there at the start, just on general principles. "I've got a headache, go away". ;)
But the whole trip with a migraine? Among your many other talents, you have impressive control, my friend.
1:09:00 Wasted started the Fuel Mice in Space Engineers. The smaller sister company of the well known Fuel Rats in Elite Dangerous.
Thank you for the kind scolding 😂
@@Splitsie 😁
Getting Capac to drive, Splitsie forgot the first episode already :D On the idea of folding gun turrets for the runway, there's a mod on Steam that gives you buried PCM turrets as featured in ' The Expanse ' if you've ever seen it.
You should put a line of magnetic plates across the runway, like the cable on an aircraft carrier.
The trouble is that you can't get them to be level with the runway so it'd be like putting a speed bump in there :P
That sounds like “How bad can a runway full of holes be?” They’ve already snapped off landing gear in the gap in the pads in the hanger.
No ones been talking about this, but I now christen thee Elon the new Super Intercepter Class Fighter.
you could just place one of those standing buttons somewhere nearby and a timer to switch lock on that mag plate and reset it after like 15-20 seconds.
Lol...you guys made a 5 mile long runway just so you can do belly flop cannon balls on a 5 x 5 square block.
Brilliant...lol
Sounds about right :P
On the plus side if you replace the planet you can fix the ore too.
That was one hell of a BOOM😂😂😂
Watched and 👍 Liked
We got a fair few good Blammos! this series :D
Capac is chaos man from Troy rising
Now I want to see Splitsie dogfight without a migraine. That was impressive.
Lol thanks 😊
The Elon thrust did safely come down from 8.43k up
Seriously thou, wasted should add a soundblock and add a retro Danger Zone sound to the Elon Thrust...
Turn the runway so that the wind is blowing along it instead of across it and land into the wind. That would make it so much easier
3:00:37 is the best moment I think!
Could the reason there is so much rain be that the English weather has infected the internet do to it’s usual victims are working from home?
Concerning the pitch up momentum of the Elon Thrust: Have you tried adding one more gyro with a pitch override preset which you can switch on/off seperately for trim?
- update after rewatching - Maybe the weight of the missing mag-plate at the front of the Elon Thrust is what's needed for more stability?
While that would work well for cruise I find that having to fight against an overridden gyro makes control worse rather than better overall :(
Gotta hit the deck a bit quicker. You're losing about 1/3 of your landing deck when you touch down.
I actually watched the whole thing on the day of broadcast. Hurray, 150% playback speed :)
PS: are you certain team bot didn't plant warheads under you?
We're never certain of that...
@@Splitsie I guess they would've told you if you'd undone their greatest victory.
Thanks, was certainly feeling a bit better by the end, was rough for the first hour or so though
i would not be a good enemy bot, i would build cruise missiles and carpet bombers. i would however miss on purpose on the first run just to scare you guys.
YES Folding wings
Hi Guys! I am not really into those games or any type of game, my husband is. He has been listening for your videos for a couple of days now and I was wondering if someone had notice that one of the guys has the same voice as George Clooney. I told my husband.... what a sexy voice! Is the British George Clooney... wow! Very very similar.
Lol I'm sure w4sted will be very flattered by that 😄
Did you ever work that explosion out? I think like in your newer assertive videos when you were grinding down the welders and the ores kept coming out, DE ground down the welder and the Ice came out and caused the clang explosion lol
How do i manage to miss those streams man
2:20:20 he didn't fly off the Rover he landed on it and bounced over the runway. LOL!
Why no surface -to-air missiles to take out that surveillance drone?
I think DE has a design or two but he's been busy building planes instead :P
@@GPandzik Sometimes after a hard week at work, usually around the christmas time, the saturday I get migraines from the lack of stress.
6 min 30 second acid rain at the start of the episode
Yup, it's brokeded - will need to figure out how to turn that off until I can fix it
I've been wondering if you have two planets in the same place or something
Nah, it turns out I was just a dope in the way I updated the acid rain setup :P
Ik it probs won't work but I'd like to see how the harpoon mod would work as an arresting cable (might even cause some fun clang lol)
I'm not even sure if the mod works at all now :(
Which mod is the one for the drones attacking you etc. Is it the one that's unreleased? I have all the other ones loaded
Those are real people pretending to be drones
Oof. Auras are the worst, often worse than the migraines they foreshdow; I get them myself, and atleast you can medicate and/or work through the pain, your brain's visual centers being scrambled is just debilitating.
Yeah I think I underestimated the impact it would have when gaming, it did not do anything good for my nausea at the time
Just missed it
Edit... Kill count LCD and marks on planes....
Hmm... so that'd be 2 for the Elon Thrust then :)
Do the bots have to collect resources and stuff as well or do they have semi creative where build is free?
They're in full creative mode hence the restrictions on what they're able to do in terms of scale
3:00:00 Revenge of CLANG
Should be using clear screen mod - Atmos Mod - etc etc.
1:45:24 like shooting fish in a barrel
lol I still can't believe how long it took us to realise TFE was down there :D
My guess as to why SE isnt as big as KSP would be the devs, to me at least it seems like KSP's devs care/cared more about making their game better with every update than SE's devs seem to.
(addition) It could also be things like KSP having better physics where it matters, KSP having lower hardware requirements, and/or KSP just having a wider appeal than SE
I think it's more that KSP has more applications to real world space channels so got greater penetration to non gaming circles
2:03:45 no but it's the one you allways actually do.
hah hah hah! it looks like my suggestion for large grid welders was heard but used the week after it was given.
Hmm. So maybe something in the style of a behind-the-scenes documentary might be more appropriate
Still dont know why you didnt just drop the runway by one block? A piston and some merge blocks would have done the trick.
Because the piston can't be mounted any lower on the rover chassis, and it wouldn't solve the problem of the ramped elevator.
Yup, that sounds like a fair explanation :D
Why do you not just build some ladders on one of the legs to the wheels?
I always forget about ladders...
can you guys something with stargate mods
what's up with those bots? They're way too intelligent for AI
Did Shack dissappear or was he only there for a brief moment? Or am I being a dum-dum and mixing people up
He couldn't make it this week, no Tex for the next two weeks either. I always planned this series to have people come and go without feeling like they were holding up everyone else :)

They didn't do much damage, and the rocket fire was very restrained when you think about what caould ahve been done.
The pilot survived the landing, that's who was shooting :)
The point I was trying to make is that space engineers IS popular, being in the same ballpark as Kerbal space program is pretty impressive to me
minecraft also doesn;t have a physics engine, or mobile grids, or anything like SE's visual fidelity.
I love this series but for the love of God the acid rain making the character go "ugh" every .5 seconds is SO ANNOYING
Yeah, the acid rain didn't work like it was supposed to and I did remove it to let us focus on other things. I can't remember precisely when I removed it though
Really very impractical and inefficient. Nonsensical.
Which is honestly one of the best ways to have fun :)
