@AnDiMsOfLy Assign square and triangle to back buttons. It will give you better xontril during combat and it has worked great for me. I focus on x with thumb and the square and triangle with back buttons.
Haven't tried the SCUF controllers, but the Edge controller feels great and is more fun to play with... i still don't think it's worth the hefty price tag, especially with the poor battery. What fps game are you enjoying it with?
@FrostFire Mage I have been playing apex and I have not had a problem with the battery because I play wired and for the price I think it is hefty but compared to other pro controllers it is cheap and the changeable stick modules are a game changer I think this as more of an investment what I can use for years to come (ps6)

It’s expensive but after seeing the tear down I can see the engineering and r&d that went into making it. The inside looks completely different to the regular dualsense. Personally I think it’s appropriately priced

Agree, I would expect the standard controller on the PS6, to utilise the current Edge's software customisation when it's released in the the distant future. But for now, it looks like Pro Controller buyers are the lucky ones.
No, getting at least 5 hrs so far, but over time the battery will degrade... So I expect it to be in the 4-5hr range at some point (hopefully not too soon). I do recommend a charging station, so it’s easy to throw on the charger after a session. And utilise the cable if you’re playing after 5+ hours.
The number one reason why I always have to buy a new controller is because of drift. No other controller that I have seen comes with the option of dwitch out the sticks in this way. So that is why I bought this controller. Insurance policy.

I have both system and.. why no Hall Effect joysticks ?? We still have the problem of drift...like always. Battery is unacceptable. here in Europe the edge is 3.5 X more expensive than the normal controller ...(yeah.. edge is 240 Euros...).
Hey TheFrenchy82, the DualSense edge replacement stick modules are cheap, so just swap it out. Yes battery sucks but at least they provided a long cable to play and charge with. Sucks the price point is so high in Euro, inflation is killing retail right now 😕
I'm using jump (x) and dive (o) for the back buttons... which is especially great during boss fights, because you don't need to take your thumb off the right joystick, to press them and then come back to the joystick to find your aim again for the next attack as it's already in position or adjusting simultaneously 🎮
Just collecting colours or special editions but I'm surprised this was common for Sony and Nintendo I use prob controller the joy con's are too small for my hands and for sure I see those breaking structurely too small excessive use for sure no doubt drift breaking issues but wasn't even Aware Sony problem I'm surprised but I'm almost 90 percent sure it's user error through drops throwing aggressive pressure grinding It down guys the harder you rotate to left or right doesn't make directions any diff but I'm sure that's what's caused it lol.

Instead of some unsuspecting host, they get me 😈 and an honorable 1v1 lol. Honestly, I bought the edge more so to mitigate having to buy a new controller every time I get stick drift. Four original dual sense controllers all got it, so to me the edge pays for itself with the dead zone adjustment, and easily replaceable sticks. I’m sure I’ll figure out a helpful use for the back buttons in Elden Ring eventually but so far haven’t tried it yet.

I think if the price point was about 30% lower, I would still recommend it to everyone as it is more fun to play with and does give you an edge with the Trigger Stops and Back Buttons. Sony had to make sacrifices with the added new tech in the Edge controller, it’s already 16.4% heavier at 335 grams, compared to the 280 grams on the standard. So they reduced the battery size from 1,560 mAh on the standard controller, down to 1050 mAh on the Edge. That’s almost a 1/3 reduction in size, hence the worse battery life.
The difference in Australia is crazy, $340 for the Edge, compared to $100 for the standard 🤨 If you’re a casual player, you don’t need this controller.

It’s definitely a luxury item at this price point. Casual gamers should just stick with the standard and invest the money elsewhere. But, if you’re serious about your gaming and play competitively online then it’s still worth it, as the triggers and back buttons give you an edge. Weirdly it feels strange to pick up the standard DualSense now, as I find my fingers searching for the back buttons out of habit 😂
I've owned all the systems multiple controllers I didn't even know this was a thing stick drift issues lol I thinks it's the user or throwing controller rage quitting I've never experienced stick drift play fighting games sports etc it's angry user error causing the damaged joystick I only heard this as an issue and that was for Nintendo but I've had 10 to 15 plus controllers and usually 2 to 4 on the newer ones from ps4 to ps4 and never exp drift

Xbox Elite 2 is really good. In fact I wanted to buy the Edge but after seeing many downsides, I will not buy it.

Battery life sucks... I returned mines.
It’s certainly a lazy job by Sony, they had to make some sacrifices with the design and all the new tech they put in. I don’t mind playing wired so can live with it. But I’ll do a 6 months review to test how bad the battery degradation gets 👍🏻
@FrostFire Mage Lazy and crazy. I will not be their trail run dummy. 2 hundred plus for a few hours of gameplay is insane. Loved the feel. Quality. And performance. I had to not let that be the points for me keeping it.
