Sooooo…why is your PlayStation button white? It looks cool and I think I’d want for mine when it arrives
It's called a Button Masher from Flaming Toast.
www.flamingtoast.com/?product_cat=dualsense-button-mashers
The video I was looking for. Perfect pros and cons explanation and no biased stuff. Straight to the point and understandable. Thank you my friend
“Box” and “cross” 😜😂 never heard those shapes referred to like that before. Looks cool though. Thanks for the video.
Sony calls x the cross button… but square is square, lol!😂
Cross makes more sense than X because tye buttons are all shapes, not letters. X is an Xbox button. Playstation has a cross.
I've never heard box though lol. It's just a square. Boxes are three dimensional.
To make it more confusing
EX and Box 😅
@@Cole-ft4rr I've always called it X, circle/O, square, and triangle lol.
I put a cover around my dualsense edge which has been brilliant. I don't get sweaty hands now and it's made the controller a bit bigger which i prefer
what cover did u get? :)
thats good to hear,i always sweat alot when im playing adventure games and when im at the final boss or something, its cheap but the quality isnt so great, but other than that i have just one small problem,it collects dust and hair and little dirt overtime, but its really good because my normal controller is starting to get black scratches
@@444fresa VGBUS Edge Controller Cover on amazon I've had it for a year and its amazing
I wanted to be able to jump and aim at the same time... Back buttons work great. So I'm happy with it.
Exactly the same for me just got mine yesterday
Or u can change ur settings to stick and move to jump and shoot
@@Spaggzyeah well true but ur gonna need to learn the claw method..which doesn’t really feel the best and u get ur hands sweaty too
just got one today. U were right. amazing.
dual sense edge was legit when i had ps5! my only complaint about controllers that come with higher analog sticks are they arent as wide or as grippy as kontrol freeks. sometimes i forget my right stick is higher cuz theres not that extra weight from the kontrol freek. unfortunately they dont make kontrol freeks for the razer v2 chroma so im stuck with the higher stick
The Edge is really a superior controller. I bought mine when 2 weeks after getting my PS5 with the standard controller that came with it the standard controller started to drift (left joystick module of course). The Edge has worked really well for about a year or so (heavy use) playing approx 6-8 hours every day. Only recently it started to drift (Left joystick as usual). Looking for a replacement left joystick module but thing is there's hardly any available which is a bummer. The few scalpers who are selling are selling at 2-3x the regular price. No lie.
Appreciate how thorough you were for something quite expensive, cheers lad.
Brother, this was incredibly helpful. You got another subscriber. Thank you.
I play a game where you have to push L1 and R1. At the same time to complete a ultimate.
Can you program one key to do two actions with this controller?
No you can’t make macros like on the Steamdeck.
This is a great video. Thanks. Does this work with Steam on PC? I use it plugged in always so the battery life doesnt bother me. Im just sick of stick drift. I assume the software to edit you were using at the end is only for ps5 and wont be able to be adjusted on PC
People say it's the best controller they've ever used on PC. That it's designed so well PC gamers buy it just for their games on steam
@@OGistayhiPS3 I'm in no rush to get one, but I have 2 ps5 controller and both have subtle stick drift that I am able to adjust. But I'm afraid eventually they will be beyond adjustment. I'm not a hardcore gamer at all. But am a big believer in paying for quality that will last especially since my controllers are never left out, always tucked away neatly in a drawer. If I do get the dualsense edge, I'd like it to be the last controller I get for at least 5+ years
@@xAlbo94honestly i have the duel sense and i love it but i i played on pc i would rather buy the elite because the battery life is incredible and the edge battery life is tragic but you cant go wrong with both
@@xAlbo94 Literally me. I've put off getting a new controller and both of mine have mad drift now.
@@xAlbo94 I'm also curious to know if the back buttons are mappable when on PC since I'm 50/50 PS5/PC. Any word on that yet?
Worth every penny. So much so, I Bought a second one.
u rich boi
Lmao
That lock is not needed. Threw it in there to bump up the price of the controller. Cowards. Could backfire & the controller comes ripping out of your hands doing more harm to the controller itself....
Yup. I did too.
But I also bought 2 sets of extremeRate face and back plates.
One blue set, one red.
Reason being, is because I didn’t want to end up with the peeling rubber grip issue, which is more widespread than people realise.
Just google it.
Swapping out the plates mean I can preserve the originals in the box.
Back plates have all the data info stamped on them and I didn’t want them ruined by the rubber grip peeling.
If you’re like me and a) like to look after your stuff and b) have a degree of ocd, I advise anyone with this controller to do the same.
Thank me later 👍🏼
😂 I'm thinking the exact same thing!
U got me with that AirPod dying sound
Bro same lol I checked my settings lmao
Well put together review
I got the "Nacon Recolution 5 Pro" with Hall Effect sticks, which dont have stick drift issues. The controller also feels more acurate and responsive since you can setup the deadzone to 4%.
I guess its nice of Sony that made it possibe to replace the sticks, but they ussualy start giving issues after 3 months of medium usage, and 2 stick costs 40 $/€. So if you replace them every 3 months it will cost you 160 $/€ a year. Maybe wait untill a manufacturer brings out replacable Hall Effect sticks, so you only have to buy them once.
How are you having issues with the controller's stick after every 3 months. This would've never been acceptable from consumer perspective. If you have to replace the controller stick every 3 months, you seriously have to check yourself out.
@@Icarus47249fd fortnite will kill controller pretty fast if you play competitive builds
@@Icarus47249fdyou either don't game often or don't have one of these. Those sticks are garbage, man. Every one I've had has gotten drift before the 6 month mark.
dope review
the rubber grip however does wear out quickly, using eXtremerate replacement is best option as its just an regular shell
If you choose to go that route, yes. After having mine since release, there was a slight lift in mine but I bought a silicone cover for it when I noticed the peel. I just took the skin off after 6 months and I don’t even notice it anymore. I prefer to play with a silicone skin with grips as a personal preference, because I have big hands and like that extra comfort.
@@t_g-6teenbllackstar874 lizard skin could work as well. I haven’t own a eXtremerate backshell but im mostly used to the comfort of a backshell controller on ps2 and ps3. Silicone however is mostly the safest option to pick as it does not require to remove components. I got big hands as well but it doesn’t bother me from playing
@@t_g-6teenbllackstar874 probably might go for that option as it’s less risk to break a component and covers all around, as i got big hands as well 😂
Question!! Does the buttons feel Iike on normal dual sense or is there any mechanic button?
i think its only the adaptive triggers that feel different, but u can turn it off of course so it feels the same as the normal controller
Damn the analog swap is a instant buy for me. I'm convinced. Thank you. The drift was my only concern.
The replacements are all sold out💀😭
I’m not sure if other people do this but I plug in my ps5 controller from a normal usb power outlet in a power strip. You don’t need to plug into a power bank or the ps5.
why dont u just plug it in from the ps5,its there to be used
I mean I do that as well just easier just in case your ps5 is miles away
@@TheTwinkly2 my power outlet is miles away lol
I get it. Glad to see it's OK to do that, lol. Because that's what I've been doing. I can understand why pro players have complaints, but for casual players it's pretty badass.
Only issue I have bro is that battery life 😬
Awesome review ❤️
Is the smaller battery not a concern if I only plan to use it to use it on PC? Like if I'm just playing it wired, it will constantly be charging while I play right?
Correct
I've had mine about 9 months. The biggest problem I have with it is the rubber grip on the inside where your fingertips lay is starting to peel off on the left side. Will probably contact sony soon and see what they say
Look up extreme rate back plates. Personally got the all black one. Takes 5mn to swap.
@NvTeddy thanks for the tip. Had to wait a few weeks for the black to come in stock. Super easy to swap and looks way better.
@@MH-gy6qv glad I could help
If you play warzone, this is a must especially when slide canceling and using movement. After using my brothers it was so good I had to get one myself.
“Title” Just got one yesterday, Love this controller.
Is the L1 and R1 back buttons instant also?
nah dude, they are already instant in every controller😂❤
Bought mine today definitely worth
I've had mine for about 4 months now. Love it
When did it go up to 200? Thought it was 80 or that was just preorder? I’ve heard 50/50 reviews so I hope it’s worth the money
It's always been $200
@@gsportsgaming9387 is it worth it though ?that’s the real
It's 200 at its low and higher usually, but even if it was 100 it wouldn't be worth it. Compared to Elite 2 it's a toys'r'us toy.
@@maxmaxneolit I appreciate the feedback brotha cuz these p5 controllers are wearing out for me. And I thought ps4 controller was bad
I have 2 of them! Keep them in rotation.
I was using AirPods when watching this and I had to go back when you played that AirPod dying sound to check if it was the video lol u got me
I thinking in buy one I buy one half controller for 8bitdo although they last longer that regular controller problem still there the pieces internal physical decay after some time of use like one year or so internal pices damange but they are making master pieces like this
Somebody tell me where they have found authentic replacement thumbstick modules for $20. $35 is the lowest I've seen and I have been looking longer than this video has been out.
Your assessment of the controller is spot on. If the replacement modules actually were $20 or half the price of a regular dualsense controller then that would make it well worth the investment over time. Potentiometers themselves are inexpensive so people with og dualsense controllers that have soldering skills and UA-cam would be able to have a much more cost effective way to "replace" drifting thumbsticks. Failing wouldn't be much of a loss either.
My favorite features are the additional under tabs and the ability to adjust the deadzone right in the settings. I use the tabs for L3 And R3 to save as much wear on the sticks as possible. Deadzone increasing helps get a bit more life out of drifting sticks.
Those cushions that go around the "stem" of the thumbstick you may see people use help too. You could just cut a sponge 2.5cm diameter, 7mm thick, take the head of thumbstick and push it through the center, remove the debris from inside the head, put it back on and using the deadzone screen remove, material from the opposite side it is drifting to until it is within the deadzone while you wait for your new ...$20... module to arrive.
Just bought mine today
Just Bought Mine 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I think ima just install back paddles on my normal controller
Ppl complain about cost but honestly when you think about you’ll be saving yourself money in the long run not having to keep buying new controllers bc of stick drift
Literally reason why I'm buying one, it's super frustrating that we have to deal with stick drift though... I never experienced that on my PS3 controllers
@@codnerd1234good luck buying a replacement stick module. They are all sold out. Been waiting for a few months now to get another one.
@@codnerd1234 they’re not built to last nowadays on purpose👀
That’s exactly what I said why keep spending money on a new controller when you can just get a couple new analogs for a quarter of the price!
@@iTzSketty the analogs are very rare and people sell them privately at nearly the same price as a controller so beware
Im late but, scuf impact, or this? I only am split, id usually get scuf but you cant remove thumbsticks on scuf

Mines right paddle is jamming up. Both types gets stuck and doesn’t click. I’m thinking metal on plastic causing it to wear but I haven’t taken it apart to confirm. Any one else having same/similar issue?
Nope. Been having mine for 6 months and everything works fine. Both types of the paddles work
@@hustlawg maybe a matter of time but I hope your keeps going. I use mine on pc and PlayStation too.
@@gulla04no it’s just your story
@bigreactions1984 no, its a known major issue
@@bigreactions1984 oh dang it just seems so obvious that if it happened to mine then it’s a matter of time. I used to use mine a lot but never abused them
I bought on had it four months and the trigger stops.stopped working and are like they don't exist anymore
Got this controllers and it took helldivers 2 to another level...
How so? I find it useless and bought it also for HD2. I find the lack of four back buttons crippling. Also, profile switching requiring holding Fn and pressing another button is a deal breaker. How did it help you with HD2 (I wanted to be able to move, control the camera shoot and be able to call stratagems without ever removing my thumbs from sticks... impossible with this fake pro controller)
@@maxmaxneolit for starters I curve the right stick added sum dead zone, the left trigger is more precise curved up with sensitivity up slightly to kill all dead zone in the left... Two profiles set up, one for machines ( left trigger is target, right trigger is reload) and one for bugs(left trigger is stims, right trigger is my alternative button to shoot when flustered) for you I think the best option would be to grow extra appendages so you won't have to lift your thumbs... Should work out for you.. Hope that helps.!
@@RahnOzzy thanks, I was wondering how it helps your play style. As for appendages, it's all good, Elite 2 doesn't require alien fingers
@@maxmaxneolit 😭😭😭😭🤣 your right... On a serious level it takes sum adapting but the control does it too... If you don't change your preset/ add a profile then it learns your reaction time and trigger sensitivity as you play...if I play long enough my R2 with the switch on normal start reacting like it was pushed down slightly pass the second line on the back but not quite down... Fun controller but it takes time learning you as you learn it...
Would you get this controller or a scuff?
they dont sell sticks anymore so avoid it
Is the rubber peeling yet on yours
i have that problem too.i think that problem is only in the original analog grips, buy a fubber grip and it shouldnt peel and if it did peel then just put another rubber grip on it to replace the original
Was about to buy this today until I noticed I'd have to but a set of kontrol freeks for concave sticks. $200 it should come with every stick style. It comes with domed and regular? No bueno
You didn’t say how you got your logo white?
I did

@@SimplyPopsI didn’t see it maybe u accidentally left that out while editing
Being able to change the sticks makes it worth it. Stick drift is way too common
It's OK. All the face buttons are mushy and the trigger pull is way to long! You would think they would have done a better job coming so late to the game! But the case is great need a All black option tho!
Did this guy really just call the X and Square button the cross and box button?
I don't have the battery issue. Sure. I don'T play games for 6 hours straight and after I'm done playing I can just put it on the charging station and be good with it.
I miss being able to use my battle beaver I think ill bite thr bullet and get this bc stickdrift
Worth it!
NO
Man my fucking stick drift is driving me crazy I’ve went through five controllers now since I got the ps5. Does this controller stop stick drift?
It won't stop it. But you can buy new stick for 20$ and replace the drifting one in few seconds. Better than buying entirely new normal controller
@@FinnishUncleSam thank you for your time brotha
I agree with Uncle Sam's comment above. However, there is no supply of the joysticks anywhere except eBay at prices >$40. If you find any joysticks at lower prices, please share with me.

Sell it. You'll be better off. Seriously. My most disappointing purchase of gaming accessories.
You got my like but not using that USB cable and lock you missing out! It's .001 ms. Did Sony like this video? Only way to update this controller is to hack it so the PS5 will allow you to use a keyboard with games that won't allow keyboard use but it's pretty much perfect. Also at 9:25 that's new out the box huh?
We edging with this one 🗣️🗣️💀💀
About to buy one now😮
I might get me a dualsense edge controller after I get the ps5 slim
Save your money. It's not worth it.
@maxmaxneolit oh I got you ty for telling me that I am getting the ps5 slim this month. I hope so from rent a center
Ps5 is dope 👍. The dualsense edge is a waste of money. Take care.
@maxmaxneolit ty for telling me that I appreciate that so much and take of yourself
I’d rather buy the ear buds in my opinion with that price
Today i sent it into repair for stick drift
This is the best controller I have ever used
This says so much. Elite 2 is it. This one disappointed me so much, but that's only because I was spoiled by Elite 2
I would if it had four paddles
and a single profile switch button that cycles through them. Yes, worthless as it is. I wasted my money on it.
Boy cooking up some sony
Buying this at this moment in time is the absolut stupid. Rumors tell us that a better version is coming.
Battery is pure SHIT and worthless on this version
Agreed
Good luck trying to find stick modules when that stick drift kicks in. Things are always out of stock. Sony taking everyone for all their money, man.
50 bucks on Amazon brother
@@mattjones7858 right, because a single stick is worth just $20 less than an entire vanilla Dualsense. I'm not paying $50 every 5 or 6 months when Sony could very easily have implemented hall effect.

halo analogue would be nice if it uses magnetic halo switches but meh
i'd be using it for PC games and never have i felt $200 is worth it for a CONTROLLER considering thats more expnesive than my phone which i can use to play games on the 🚽
Do not buy it. It's slightly better than having back buttons on ds4. Disappointing product.
Someone else posted but i can't find their comment. There are NO replacement joysticks available for this controller. DO NOT BUY THIS if you care about replacing the sticks when they will inevitably get drift in a couple months.
They've been out of stock for at least the past 5 months. You can't find them anywhere except for used $45 on ebay. Because of this, I bought 2 regular dualsense controllers. Both got stick drift to the left after playing 5-20 hrs a week of rocket league for a couple weeks.
After doing some research, there's been zero discussion on this issue from Sony. Some people are blaming scalpers but it's heresay unless proven.
