According to relativity, we exist at a point of two light cones touching each other. Our future light cone is all the possible futures out lives can take, and our past light cone is all the possible pasts that have led us to this point. However those two light cones are not the whole picture. There is all this empty space to the side which we are touching at this point in time as well. The blackness, the emptyness of the universe exists in this void. But we are a part of that just as much as we are a part of our time cones. I like to meditate on that thought when I listen to this song.
