levy: every game is a banger
the first game: draw by repetition
Thanks. I came here to make this comment.
Just pure lies. Only Nepo's game versus Vidit may be worthy of being called a banger. Levy just hyping.
Well he needs audience retention
You need to listen. He didn't say that EVERY game is a banger game. He said "We have banger game after banger game".
@@indianfan1029 Nurgyul ― Humpy was insane wtf
After day 4 of the candidates I'm sure of three things:
1) Hikaru is shook.
2) Nepo is showing why he's won back to back candidates.
3) Pragg is fearless.
Nepo really hasn't looked imoressive...he's just gotten way up on time and his opponents throw the game away in time trouble. Nepo hasn't really done anything impressive yet
if pragg was fearless he wouldnt play that solid against hikaru

We all gotta agree to one thing. Levy is hands down the best narrator of these chess gameplays. There is something unique about the way he analyses the games which keeps us hooked throughout. Even his haters visit his channel and hop on the comment section to get his attention.
Appreciate the kind words. Plenty of memes in these comments but the truth is I absolutely love watching these elite tournaments and breaking them down for the viewers. It’s a major reason the channel has grown to nearly 5 million.
Much love. ❤️
We absolutely love your content, Levy. I open UA-cam every morning in the gleeful hope to find a new GothamChess video. All the memes and mimics aside, you are the reason for many of us to play and learn chess❤️

That's a fair assessment. Considering his temperament got questioned after the Magnus Final, Ian has shown tremendous strength of character.
Ian is just a candidate slayer, unbelievable play
Ra5-b5-b3 was just weird, and not in a good way.
And then he'll choke against Ding again.
@@mandolo100 Easy to criticize a coin-toss of a match while giving no credit to the great play of Ding.
@@robinhoodwinker8621 Dings great play doesn't change the fact that the match was very back and forth with quite a few blunders on both sides. It doesn't change the fact that Nepo seems to have some sort of mental issue on the WC stage. It doesn't change my opinion that he shouldn't be the one to challenge Ding because he had his chance. I seriously do not wanna watch that
I hope Gukesh wins candidates. He's been playing really well, and if he won against Liren, he would be the first world chess champion under the age of 18
I think Nepo is just the king of candidates. Aint no one touching him. Maybe not even magnus. Idk why but it really feels terrifying watching him in candidates, after that astonishing dominance over the past 2 candidates tournaments.
@@massivecowbreakout7555his birthday is next month I think, so he will be 18 by that time. Still the chess world has never seen such a young classical champ. Future goat?
BORING, no one will care who will win between these 2. The people want to see Fabi or Hikaru.
Vidit sticking his rook between all the pawns was quite the throw. And he used 3 turns to get it there!
Nepo! Nepo! Man deserves to be world champ if he makes it out of candidates for third time in a row.
Much more impressive to win round robin tournaments against the best consistently than a one v one match up.
Which BTW Magnus agrees as I think of one his demands was for worlds to be a proper tournament.
imagine if he loses the world championship again💀
Genuine question: Do you know for sure (not speculation) what Magnus demands/idea is?
@@SevenSeasDrama it has to do something with the time controls

Candidates Nepo is consistently stronger than World Championship Nepo. That's a problem.
It's a shame Nepo can't play at his best when it matters most. He doesn't have nerves of steel.
He's not. It's just that his opponents in the championships have been stronger than the candidates too.
He probably uncorks his best prep in the candidates to make it through, but then the tank is empty for the finals.

First time I’m following a chess tournament. The commenters are doing a fantastic job. But as a new player to the game I really appreciate these recaps, It’s like rewatching a good movie after decade you remember some but not all and you can enjoy it in another way.
Nepo turns on some super powers for the canidates
In Gukesh Caruana Ra3 follows the linear development and initiave principles. Namely white doubles with Ra3 and Ra1 threatening to win the game with axb5. Against this play it is likely that black will need to play Rb8 and concede the A-file which the engine no doubt values for space.
Give sor some money
I loved the explanation for the ending of the Muzychuk vs Lei endgame. Very instructive on the correct way to do that king chase. It is so counterintuitive.
Also appreciated the breakdown and background of the Berlin endgame for the last match.

Grass is a type of plant with narrow leaves growing from the base. A common kind of grass is used to cover the ground in places such as lawns and parks. Grass is usually the color/colour ‘green’. Grasses are monocotyledon herbaceous plants.
The grasses include the "grass" of the family Poaceae. This family is also called Gramineae. The family also include some of the sedges (Cyperaceae) and the rushes (Juncaceae).[1] These three families are not closely related but all of them belong to clades in the order Poales. They are similar adaptations to a common life-style.
The true grasses include cereals, bamboo and the grasses of lawns (turf) and grassland. Uses for graminoids include food (as grain, sprouted grain, shoots or rhizomes), drink (beer, whisky), pasture for livestock, thatching thatch, paper, fuel, clothing, insulation, construction, sports turf, basket weaving and many others.
Many grasses are short, but some grasses can grow very tall, such as Bamboo. Plants from the grass family can grow in many places and make grasslands, including areas which are very arid or cold. There are several other plants that look similar to grass and are referred to as such, but are not members of the grass family. These plants include rushes, reeds, papyrus and water chestnut. Seagrass is a monocot in the order Alismatales.
Grasses are an important food for many animals, such as deer, buffalo, cattle, mice, grasshoppers, caterpillars and many other grazers. Unlike other plants, grasses grow from the bottom, so when animals eat grass they usually do not destroy the part that grows. This is a part of why the plants are successful. Without grass, soil may wash away into rivers (erosion).
