I appreciated how you showed the windlass and then went to it’s original position at the end of the video. Great storytelling.

Always amazes me as to what one can stumble across while hiking out in remote areas like this one shown here today . Way cool find & I just love the way someone rigged up that Radial Airplane engine on that stand with an old auto differential mounted up underneath it . I’m gonna have to google the California Hardware store in Los Angeles now to see what years they were in operation as Someone purchased that Ore cart from them & then SOMEHOW hauled it and that Engine & all that other stuff ( rails , drums , wood for buildings , etc) all the way to that remote location. They must have had high hopes that whatever minerals they found would pay off the expenses of getting it all set up out there. Anyway thanks for sharing this one with us all, and in your own words “ Stay safe “ 👍👍

Nice looking hikes. A lot like what I see on the eastern slope. Dirt piles are likely overburden. I think tailings would be after ball mill and extraction. Ever used a ball o’ string?

If you going to be entering into portals, you need to have better lighting then that so you can see what's ahead of you at all times. On hot days it's not uncommon to run into a sleeping Mt. Lion

That compressor is really an engine, it might have been converted to a compressor but it started life off as a 1930's McClatchie Panther Marine engine.

Boy that is a lot of up hill climbing but you are the one to find it 🏆Research and memory of your adventures .In your option was this in the Burro days or possibly I think you said maybe a out line of what they would a road .That is a compressor right but on the head seen 2 holes spark plug ??maybe a old airplane engine of the name panther ? So many ??⛏️❤️🏆

Have you ever ran into any creatures, don't want to speak it's name into existence but I'm sure you know what I mean. Do you carry a firearm or knife to protect yourself.
