Seriously, this is so well made. Beautiful. The music, screams from the soldiers and the sounds of explosions. SO GOOD!
Great job to everyone who participated.

Honestly, these videos are better than the actual game just because of how real and genuine it feels. It doesn't feel like an action movie. It feels like an honest war documentary. You should be proud of yourself. The only thing I could that was a negative was the typos everywhere. Everything else was brilliantly well done to the point of making the actual campaign for this game look like it was directed by children.
Good job, mate. I can't wait to watch more of these videos. :)
Lucas the Dragon you can literally just turn off the HUD and do it yourself
Lucas the Dragon .
Ye you can just take HUD (heads up display) off in the pause menu. Enjoy
bruh you can turn off HUD and have this exact thing

True, but at least they pulled off a great retreat, that suffered little to no causalities.

As an Australian, i was disappointed with BF1's Gallipoli campaign. A lot of our national identity comes from this battle, so it was a let down not to see Anzac Cove (Beach Z) depicted. It appears that BF1 chose to concentrate their efforts on Beach V. This is where the British ran the ship River Clyde onto the beach and the 1st Lancashire Fusiliers got decimated as the poured out of an opening in the side of the ship in an attempt to storm the beach. This is the battle where the 1st Lanc's won "6 VC's before breakfast"
My great grandfather fought with the 1st Lancashire Fusiliers throughout the war, but was killed in Arras, August 1917. It was during a night patrol to make sure the Germans weren't getting up to mischief under the cover of darkness. In the lead up to an offensive, it was common to move supplies and caches closer to the enemy trenches to facilitate the action. My great grandfathers patrol busted one of these depots being set up, a short bomb/grenade throwing battle ensured and the Germans were repelled. Unfortunately, he did not survive the encounter.
This is art. This is pure history, on video.
Anyway, my great grandfather fought in Gallipoli as a French soldier (He was Spanish, but he was in the French foreign legion)
Sadly, this is all I know about my great grandfather, because my great grandmother moved to Italy, and from as I know, she always refused to speak about my great grandfather 'till her death.
And more sadly, I couldn't find anything about him. My father (He was a French foreign legion soldier too) presumes that he used a fake name to join the French foreign legion.
I think it is cinematic. However there was, courage, dignity and will for Turks. Cause it was homeland. Also the legendary commander Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was on charge.
Do you Turkish people always play BF1 and these Ottoman campaigns in the Turkish side? :D
Fructuoso Torres-Leite Lol. Yes cause it was a war of independance for Turks. Turkish soil was under siege after 700 years ruling the middle east; it was end of an era. Cheers. :)
Im visit Turkey every year and I always been shoked about Ataturk portraits. No, really in Turkey real cult of personality of Ataturk.
Мольер Thanks for visiting ! Come again ! Yes, Atatürk is the founder of the modern secular Turkey. Cheers !
I really like Turkey, but its not a normal set a portraits even in hotels! I agree, he a great leader and patriot, he modernize Turkey, but cult of personality its a echo of tyranny. Hi from Ukraine

I guess Kemal wasn't merciful to all kind of people on this planet lol
To this day 18.000 Greeks soldiers are lying with their bones scattered across Anatolia and Kemal didn't show them respect although he recognized them as the bravest he ever fought ( Munich 1930).

God bless them all. War of Gentlemens.. Greeting from Lands Of Wolwes Turkey 🐺🇹🇷
Nice vid first of all
There is a mistake here in game however. People didn't use surnames in Ottomans. People started using surnames in 1934. Turkish citizens used their father's names to identify themselves like ''İbrahim son of Hasan'' etc.
Just to claify
Doğru söylüyorsun aslında. Mehmetoğlu Hasan, Osmanoğlu Hidayet gibi.
@CalvindeWaal Bu güzeldi işte. Gerçekten tebrik etmek lazım. Ben beğendim.
It was an Arab tradition too I believe.
Ölenler bu arada yani bu abinin oynadığı karakterler türkiyenin tarafında deil anzaklar yani onlar için geçerli olduğunu sanmıyorum
@@aleembaksh1880 wrong. It was a Turkic tradition , though Arabs did use it as well. We Turks named our children after something they've done , and would use our father's and our clans name to identify ourselves. Professions were used as well , stuff like carpenter , or smith were used. During the Ottoman period , using the name of your village or neighbourhood became more common than your clan's.
In my case , my name would be "Berkehan , son of Mete , of the Kayı" , or Berkehan , son of Mete , from ..." or , say , "Carpenter Berkehan , son of Mete".
Whenever I would watch a video like this, it would just go right to the gameplay, but this describes what happened before and the build up to the battle. Great job!
The british landed on the shores of gallipoli expecting to slaughter the defending ottoman soldiers much like the greeks and romans had done in the past but they were fools to think the ottomans would be defeated so easily

Dude the black soldiers in the Gallipoli maps are Maori (new Zealand) and wouldn’t have Middle Eastern and African names like Amir
I tried to name some of them that are Indian too, I'm not leaving out the countries that participated in this campaign!
Late to the party, but the 14th Sikh regiment landed and fought at Gallipoli alongside the British and ANZAC forces as part of the 29th Indian Infantry Brigade. The 14th were virtually wiped out during that campaign, their worst day of fighting saw 379 officers and men killed in June 4th 1915.
Those are Muslim names and most Muslims and Sikhs and mister rifle u don't have any rights to make fun of Muslims
Yes they are
Could have been Aboriginal (Australian native people) - They are darker than the Maori.
Im actually taking notes for my history final on this video rn

The battle of Gallipoli was the last gentlemen's war in world history.

This is the first time im about to cry while watching a game(!)play... Rip all the death soldier in this War...
Great video. I like the amount of effort you put in to the research, gameplay and editing in this video. Keep up the good work!
Cheers, and a happy new year!
Epic intro!
one quick question... i tried no hud before and it was so confusing to determine who is enemy or friendly. I tried to detect enemies from the color of their uniforms but it was so hard to tell because of distance and sometimes my team’s uniform being of similar color to the enemies. So how do you detect enemies apart from friendlies?
try not to detect the color of the uniforms of your enemies, that's a usual mistake I make for creating these videos usually you have to identify the uniform that they are wearing and of course if they're shooting directly at you shoot back! Hope that helps :)
Qwark007 that you for the tip, i will try to do what i can to detect zeh enemy
JFK Kennedy OMG MR. PRESIDENT YOU ARE ALIVE!!!!
I’m a bit late but I can tell by their helmets
The ones that shoot at you are enemies
The side of history schools don’t teach. There was no enemy, and there was no victory

The music in this DLC is so well done. You'd better turn in on. Anyway, nice vid.
I had a great granduncle, on my great grandaunt's side, who fought at Gallipoli, he survived only to die on the western front, he's buried at caterpillar valley with my great granddad. He fought at the initial landing but got dysentery the poor bloke.

this is so sad that my grand grand fathers died like this. war is unacceptably bad
That body flying at 11:32 is so great for this scene, intentional or not

Bro this is awesome it is like DDay Normandy but the first one
Hear them whisper
Voices from the other side
Hear them calling
Former foes now friends are resting side by side
They will never leave
Our hearts or fade away
Live forever
They were far to young to die in such a way
How many wasted lives
How many dreams did fade away
Broken promises they won't be coming home
Oh mothers wipe your tears
Your sons will rest a million years
Found their peace at last
As foe turned to friend and forgive
And they knew they'd die
Gallipoli
Left their letters in the sand
Such waste of life
Gallipoli
Dreams of freedom turned to dust
Hell is waiting where the ocean meets the sand
Cliffs of burden
Where the soldiers rushed into a certain death
At the shoreline
Blood of heroes stains the land light a candle
One for each of them who fought and died in vain
There is no enemy
There is no victory
Only boys who lost their lives in the sand
Young men were sacrificed
Their names are carved in stone and kept alive
And forever we will honour the memory of them
And they knew they would die
Gallipoli
Left their letters in the sand
Such waste of life
Gallipoli
Dreams of freedom turned to dust
How many wasted lives
How many dreams did fade away
Broken promises
They won't be coming home
Oh mothers wipe your tears
Your sons will rest a million years
Found their peace at last
As foe turned to friend and forgive
And they knew they would die
Gallipoli
Left their letters in the sand
Such waste of life
Gallipoli
Dreams of freedom turned to dust.

Absolutely stunning and amazing
Ottoman citizens didnt have surnames they were refered as; son of ahmed, Ali
This video is a Milestone
In 1934 Atatürk wrote a tribute to the ANZACs killed at Gallipoli:
"Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives... You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side now here in this country of ours... you, the mothers, who sent their sons from faraway countries wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. Really cool and interesting, so this was just a multiplayer match without the HUD?
Danny AP yes
Yea most of my videos on Battlefield 1 No HUD has multiplayer gameplay, with a cinematic landscape clips with a brief summary of the battle in the Great War, translated pre-battle speeches in different countries and weapons that are authentically used by each faction. Some note I've made are actually updated on only some videos that I've took up. Thanks for Watching :)
Qwark007 oh I thought it would be a private server and the battle would be scripted, still very cinematic though
I most likely will do this on Operation Michael/Spring Offensive 1918
Qwark007 when do you think you'll get started on this?
Song at the end of the video is old Macedonian folk song called "Zajdi, zajdi"
If no one is expected to survive then why do you even attack and how do you win?
Great video at all but just one problem I see at the dying screen you put people's name and in it it gives also surname but in all ottoman empire's History there were no surnames they were calling people like X the Son of Y but maybe you don't know it whatever always its really fascinating. After this comment atleast you know it for Desert campaign

I think if you had a boy solider. That would’ve been s nice, twisted detail.
Over 350,000 Boys participated in the British army under the legal age of 18 to enlist. The youngest being 12.
If you added something like
“Thomas Talbot.”
1899-1915
Would’ve been a cool Easter Egg
But it wouldn't make any sense if the boy had a deep voice you know :/

True true... the only way I see something around that is giving them a gas mask and have them not make call outs. It’s just a thought. Love the videos!
This just came across my mind as in the Campaign on the Gallipoli mission. You fight alongside a boy solider.

We had to been in the war on the same side with Allies. But Some Turkish commanders at that age, they were fan of Loser Germans. And now thats what happened.
