Forgotten Friends Friday has become one of my favorite video days of the week. All the effort and work you put into each one is so wonderful.
The longer videos keep us crafters company and all the neat ideas and ephemera for journals you come up with is so neat.
I loved wall paper day today. It was so much fun seeing all the beautiful papers. I hope you can make a digital collage of some of them :) someday. They definitely make great pages that’s for sure.

I always love when you're sorting and a paper jumps up and says "I want to be a _______." Then you do it and it's done. You've not had to handle that piece again and again, so once is most efficient use of time and materials. TFS!

Good morning, thanks for forgotten Friday. The wall papers are beautiful. Thank you for thinking about us as far as having videos ready while you are gone. Have a fantastic time with the grands and at the retreat. Be blessed.
Gayle: I was so amused at your excitement with discovering your wall covering borders.
The reason is, when they were so popular in the 70’s. & 80’s, they were the thing to use with or without the wall covering. And there were some lovely ones. Since wall covering is coming back, maybe the borders will make a comeback too. Most wall covering/paint stores, if there are any left, will give the books to you. Or they used to. I use to have so many of them in my office. All donated to schools for the children to play with. No waste here!

Love wallpaper items in journals, Gayle! They really hold up quite well.
It was my birthday week and both my children came to see me. They helped me get my front gardens cleaned up and planters filled. I can't bend over to do any of that, yet. I was so grateful. It was fun having them and we laughed about some of the things they did as kids.

Some of my happiest hours as a child were spent with my family at various wallpaper stores, as my parents were restoring a Victorian farm house in the country. I just scored ten huge wallpaper books at my local paint store (for free! Just asked and the guy said sure, take them) so now I know what to do. I am green with envy/lust over the little squares of wildflowers and birds. Just adore them. Thanks for all of the inspiration, Gayle. Your excitement is palpable and infectious.

My first born granddaughter’s graduation from PSU here in our hometown of Pittsburg, Kansas, tomorrow. I’m so proud! In my family my granddaughters are the first to graduate from Universities. Baylor U. was Hope last year. My kids went to PSU but Heather got married and my wonderful son got a head injury. He had jobs waiting for him. What a heartache. Heather decided to be a mom of 5. 🥰 Her oldest son is a freshman at PSU. So all of Hana’s grandparents went to PSU. I did studio ceramics classes but never got a chance to go back in ‘91. I was the oldest one in class. 🤣loved it!

Your sewing tips are so appreciated! I showed my hubby a journal cover explaining how you taught me to zigzag stitch it! I attached a note to my sewing machine so I wouldn’t forget. You should hear me saying “left, right, left, right “ while sewing LOL. Blessings 💜 (Patty)

I love these forgotten Fridays. I used to hang wall paper for myself and many family members. I had many of those bright colors in my kitchen. I see those every now and again going through old family pics I saw an old video of yours from April 2019 going through your Idea Journals. You had many Patricia Viramonte (sp?) samples in there. You also showed the cutest little tag that you said was made from a punch. I don't remember ever seeing that. Maybe another Forgotten Friend?

All those lovely vintage wallpapers made into ephemera...SO BEAUTIFUL!! This reminded me immediately of your video where you created beautiful pages with Tim Holtz's Worn Wallpaper ("Creating with Tim Holtz New Products" April 4, 2021)...might work with some of these wallpapers pieces too!! ❤🤗🌸🌹💐
I love these segments. It is so much fun just looking at all the treasures that you unearth while checking out your own forgotten friends. Learning from what you choose to do with them is an added bonus. Friday is edging Saturday as my favorite day.

Good Morning Gayle! I find wallpapers at St. Vinnies. They are so easy to work with, fun stuff.
Love everything you made from your wallpaper. My favorite was the wildflower squares which looked exactly like some wallpaper I had from the 70's in my kitchen. Really liked the bird squares as well. Definitely going to look to see if I have any old wallpaper still laying around.

My wallpaper is not so flowered but it is beautiful and it came from the Morris company in England and I can add flowers and birds and things to make it pretty. The great part of this video is all of the awesome ideas for Junk journals. You are amazing

Gayle, I just saw how to help your dull scissors on my I-pad somewhere. Fold some foil, a few (? 3 or 4) times) and rub your scissors up and down thru the folds. I have not tried it yet but heard you mention your scissors being dull, so I hope this helps you some. Am enjoying all your shows, great inspiration, THANK YOU,!!!

It was so fun to see all the pretty wallpapers. I went to the Sherwin Williams store while back to see if they had any wallpaper books but they stopped selling wallpaper a couple years ago and didn’t have any left. The only other place to check is Lowe’s so I guess I will try there. Everything will be so pretty in your journals.

Hi Gayle: Once again, you have inspired me. I am fortunate to have a friend at my local paint/wallpaper store. He calls when he has discontinued books for me. Right now, I have a large stash of already cut, assorted wallpaper scraps just waiting to be photographed & listed on my Etsy. You know how much work it is, which is why it hasn't been done yet.
