I'm more than two years late watching this video. You have so many lovely projects that I have yet to watch.
I love all of the pages and how you cut and emblsheledd them. Love all.of your videodthat I've seen you make. Keep them coming and maybe one day I'll catch up and see them all. Lol !!
I love your videos and they never bore me even if I dont craft along with you. I'd rather watch and save my faviorites to watch again as I craft with you !!
I love the Edith Holden illustrations!thank you for introducing me to her work
Each time I watch your tutorial I discover even more of your great ideas. Today I am going to attempt to craft along with you as you suggest. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips
How Edith died is still unknown but a suspected drowning. For someone so young and talented. Good to keep her talents alive.
Love your videos, spent the whole day binge watching them. I especially like the craft with me videos (not that I can take my eyes off the screen to craft with you). Looking forward to watching more and so glad there are so many towatch.
If you colored them in, I think your leaf stitches could pass for Christmas lights.
I am surprised no one has come out with a line of washi with the edges already torn. What a time saver.
signature center great idea...so beautiful...her work is stunning and I love the handwriting
Gayle, I really do love listening to and watching you. I was ironing about 50 strips of muslin fabric I tea dyed yesterday so I can stamp on them. It took me both your videos and a few others to get through ironing them all! I love seeing all the ideas and combos you come up with too. Thanks once again for sharing your humor and knowledge and imagination. Thanks for keeping me company too!
The papers really inspire me to make another journal... maybe a vintage one. That will be number 15.... not that the stash is going down much. 😲❣️🌿 Joie
Hi Gayle, i don't think i could ever craft along with you because i don't want to miss a thing your doing! i might be the only one out here, but i never heard of Edith Holden before 😲 i will google her after watching this. i love your paper trimmer, it looks like it glides really well, i have a Fiskar one but might need to invest in one like you have. you really have a gift in being able to make us feel like we're right there with you, i enjoy hearing about your day as you create, going to costco, what you like from there, etc. just like friends chatting. maybe you will have a little Hobby Lobby haul to share 😉 i agree with whoever suggested you sell packets of your bits and pieces in your etsy shop! "Gayle's Goody Packs!!" i love how everything turned out, thanks so much for all the inspiration 💕
about that beverage you mentioned, would that be the IZZE sparkling juice drink?
Hi Jenny1. No it’s not the Izze drink. It’s Sparkling ICE flavored water. It’s in a tall plastic bottle. I don’t like the plastic bottle aspect, but I love the water! Hugs my friend! ❤️
@@gayleagostinelli_ct thanks Gayle, I'm going to try them! 💖
So crazy. I'm sitting here at midnight working on my daughters journal made with the winter tales digitals and this video starts playing. 🙏🏽🧿🙏🏽
Now I'm going nuts. I know this is a year old but you have tripped my trigger. Lol I have leaves on my Brother machine and I have 2 types. So now I'm going to let loose. But I'm still waiting on my Edith book. Its the edwardian lady book. I'm upset as it was shipped 8 days ago. How long doest it take to get to Wi from DE? My word. You have made my day with the sewing on her lovely pages. Rock on dear lady. Oh and the leaves on that page is stunning. Just wonderful Gayle. Oh my i loved the Birdbox, it's a thriller. Im so,sorry this is long but today I learned so much about making my own ephemera. I did the collage board like you did. I'm so very pleased. You and Pam from Paper Outpost and Nik have taught me much. But you are way more in depth. Thank you thank you Gayle I would not have anything to,put in a journal if not for, your teachings.
Ok, ok, ok. Now I have to make a journal. I have piles of ‘stuff ‘ and you make it look do-able. Thank you.
I am never bored watching your videos. These scraps are awesome.
Loved this video, ouch with that washi tape you need muscles on muscles trying to pull some paper off that roll. Love the Edith pages, great way to make pockets. I must see if I can get my hands on a copy. enjoy your Saturday afternoon. No idea of the time difference between us. Take care xxxxx
If I could give this two thumbs up I would! Shoot! If I could add my toes, I'd do that too! Great inspiration, Gayle!
I enjoyed this so much-learning all the way to use parts and pieces and thinking of more ways to use the bits and bobs that are left over!! My husband retires from the government at the end of this year, and we’re leaving Pennsylvania and moving west. We never had kids so don’t have to take that into consideration 😉my mother is still living and is my only living relative except for a cousin that lives where my mother does in Arkansas. My hubby hates anywhere there’s humidity-he’s from northern Idaho, and he wants to go back west for retirement. He only has one living relative-a brother-and wants to go closer to him. He left that area (he went to college in Cheney, WA at Eastern Washington University) in 1988 when he went to work for the Army as a civilian. We’ve spent months looking on real estate sites at homes in NM, AZ, UT, NV, ID, MT, WY, Western Nebraska, Eastern WA and Eastern OR. We hope to put our house on the market at the beginning of Summer, so my next home has to have a really great craft room with a lot of room for scraps!! Sorry to run your ear off! 😘
rneustel So excited for you!! I love the west! So beautiful! Best of luck on your move and I hope you find a perfect craft room!! ❤️
You never bore me I love just listening to you as I craft.😊
I have this same sewing machine. This video is a year old hopefully it’s still holding up, as I just started sewing with mine a month ago. I’ve had it for over a year but, it just sat in the box because I’ve never used a sewing machine before and I was super nervous. Your reverse stitching looks like it goes a lot smoother than mine. I do love all the stitches, especially for journals.
These videos of using paper have been awesome! I love them all. ❤️❤️
Great ideas, love watching you craft, I can’t craft with you I might miss a stitch. For some reason I can’t do housework while holding my iPad, isn’t that just so sad. ❤️
I like to spread a little cream colored paint thinly on a paper plate, use bubble wrap as a stamp, and dab paint on the serendipity paper before I cut it into tags. It knocks back some of the bolder patterns in the paper. Oh, wait- I use a script stamp and permanent ink to randomly stamp first. I did the same thing with my Frayed Burlap ink pad. Argh!
Bird Box was intense. Sandra Bullock acted superbly. Imagine going around blindfolded; we should try it.
Carolyn Baker I guess some people are. They had a piece on the news about Bird Box challenges! ❤️
Comment #4 .... I suggest putting a popsicle stick or something like that at the end of the wide washi after each use. Then it would never get stuck back down to the roll. I do this with a large paper clip on my packing tape. It’s easy to remove when I need to use it. Hope that helps!
Also can use plastic wrap or similar material along the edge .
What a grand idea. So often I end up fighting with the end of the roll then it tears off crookedly. Grrrr! This will take care of that problem.
You are so much fun to watch, love your ideas.
Hi. Seeing Smith's name caught my attention. I'm Sandi Holden. I love Edith's art Work! Marvelous watercolours. I have all of her books and I could never take her books apart!
Edith's....damn autocorrect
You're so inspiring..I just love watching you craft and you're so much fun to hang out with. I'm learning from you all the time. I love that leaf stitch. And I never mind when you use the sewing machine in your videos. I have a sewing machine now because of your work and all the ways you've shown me to use it.🤗🤗💜💜
What an awesome comment, Durinda! Thank you!! ❤️
Love this series...you are not only inspirational, but a joy to listen to as I craft! Everything thing you created was just gorgeous. Tfs!
good morning Miss Gail a shout out to all your people ❤️🌈👍
If I had a library of Edith Holden I would be a happy camper. You did a beautiful job and gave me a lot of great ideas. 😍
Thank you Gayle, if I lose my mojo I just sit and spend some time with you and wow I am energised again. Despite the 43 c degrees heat here in Australia I’m back on track. Using up my scraps is so liberating. 😘🎉🎉🎉
Haven’t used much Washi tape but tearing it gives it different look on the tag or envelope...thanks for adding to my techniques I can use for a more finished look...love Edith Holden she gave us so much...I have done some botanical art and love her pages...she took time to enjoy what was around her...I first saw her book in a nature sketching workshop❤️🌻🐇
Thanks, Gayle, for the inspiration and company while crafting. I only got 3 tags and 2 pockets done and no sewing, but that's something, I guess. Always fun spending time with you! TFS!
Very beautiful Gayle, this one thing I need to do also, I have several collaged sheets and just have not got around to cutting them in to tags. I need to move that up on my list because its something I really want to finish. Thank you Gayle! : )
Wow, SO much fun at one time! Fabulous video, Gayle! You really create such beauty with those Eden Holden pages!! Loved the collage pages/tags. Loved the January EH page for the Winter's Tale signature center! Looking forward to watching you create that journal. The only thing better than watching you design that journal is if I win it, first!🙏☺ One has not seen a true artist at work until one watches the craft artist tear the edges of washi tape to get "the look!" Lol!! 😘 Love watching your work! What a gift you give to the crafting community! As always, TFS!!! ❤
You always come up with the most amazing and simple little ephemra projects...your so sweet for sharing...thank you.
I love LOVE(!) what you’re doing here Gayle!! Throwing the Edith Holden writing on the franken papers is beautiful! If you do put acetone in your Fabri-Tac, can you show how you do it? Maybe share what you’ve learned from doing it? Thank you for sharing your awesome ideas. 😁💜📚
You bet, Samantha! I would bet there a technique to getting enough and not too much acetone! ❤️
Gayle, thanks so much! I’m still new to journal making & haven’t had to fix my Fabri-Tac yet. 💜
you are great at what you do. I have learned a lot from you. well see ya in your next video
Your ideas for using scraps is so amazing I never thought to use scraps the way you show us just loving it and it giving me so many more ideas thank you
Love the collage paper, wow! The Edith Holden scraps were a perfect addition. Really enjoying this series!
Just lovely Gayle! You're such an inspiration and joy to watch! Thank you so much for sharing! Best wishes Rachel
I have several of those books. I love them.
Love this. Made some a long time ago. This is going to be so pretty.💝💝💝
I have several vintage Edith Holden books, but dont think i could use them in my journaling. Even if they were falling apart I'd have to use scanned copies. Her art is beautiful. So is yours. Oh...did you know Edith Holden drown in the Thames when she slipped gathering while gathering chestnut tree buds.
And she was only 49 years of age when she drown. So sad. So much more beauty was in that fabulous mind of her dont you think? But we did get what we have here and I'm ordering another of her books or maybe 2. I adore her works
Marlene Jones I just bought her 2 books. I need a duplicate of both of them. I don’t want to loose any of her artwork and don’t want to photocopy any of it.
The book is copyrighted so photocopying is a no-no. I just bought more books.
I so enjoy watching your videos. And I also love the sparkling Ice water - if I have it in the house that's the first thing my grandkids grab to drink!
Always such fun ideas!! You are simply amazing, my friend. It was so nice to be able to come spend some time with you. Thank you for all the inspiration, sending you biiiiig hugs! Muah! Xoxo..
Gayle, found you recently. Love it. I'm a watercolor artist and a journal maker. I have that same Edith Holden book, but not brave enough to use it. Went to Hobby Lobby today, all your fault. LOL
I bought 2 just so i could take one apart, & one to keep!!
So many wonderful ideas and in a way simple. Thanks alot for sharing. Happy crafting 💜
Yikes!!! I think I may have missed a couple of these videos!!! I love how those collage tags are turning out!!!
Love these EH envelopes, signature center and tags Gayle. I really liked the little rolodex card with the tiny snippet of pink trim. TFS
Hi Gayle, catching up on your videos again! It is 10:10 pm here in Upstate New York and I'm playing with my scraps along with you. Loving this "Re-Imagined Scraps" series. Hope to see more.....Cyndi M.
I love Edith Holden 😍
Gayle I just did some of the collage pages after watching you. I couldn't remember exactly how you did it so I tore around each scrap I used and then glued it on. It made for very soft edges. I then cut it into tags and even did a Tim Holts tag pocket. Thanks for the inspiration! XXAmy
I have just started watching your channel today and ended up watching and being inspired all day long!!! Thank you for sharing your talents!
Fold a thin edge of the edge where you cut it so you have something to grab. I do that with tape.
LOVE THESE TAGS-SO PRETTY-TFS-HUGS/BLESSINGS
Watching you inspires me to sew my envelopes . so fun. Thanks for sharing
You shared some wonderful ideas here, Gayle! Thank you very much!! xo
Thank you for the inspiration. I always enjoy Gayle time. 😊
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, trials and errors, they are such an inspiration and help.
Oh I am loving your re-imagined scraps videos, you have inspired me to work on getting my scraps under control =)
Love these crafting sessions. Lots of great ideas. Maybe a lolly stick might work on the wide Washi? X
Had a great time crafting with you today! Working on my December Daily! Yep, I'm catching up! lol
These are just to much fun , thanks for sharing.
Fun day! Enjoyed this craft with me! Hugs!
Loving your scrap episodes.
Aww-Edith Holden images and text-drool worthy!! 🤤
Love what you are creating and adore your Edith Holden book❤️
Love the collage paper! Tags and cards are gorgeous!
That was very fun...such pretty embellishments!
Yes, it was fun and inspirational too!
I love the illustrations in my Edith Holden
Hi Gayle thanks for another amazing and inspiring creative session, who doesn't love Edith Holden
Your paper and scrap selection are so amazing, I love the way you can just lay your hand on pieces that work so beautifully together, I don't have too many to choose from, but enjoy seeing the ideas you share
I have also watched Bird Box, love Sandra Bullock in anything! It's an interesting story, very well done and she is great in the part as are the children. Can you share where you bought the wide roles of wash tape?
Hi Annie! The wide washi came from www.etsy.com/shop/BellasBitsandBuys ❤️
I love Edith Holden and how you used her book today. I bought one and fell so in love with the book that I could not bear to tear it apart. So of course I purchased another! Alas, it has fallen to the same fate as the first. Lol. But you have inspired me to cut in with gusto! As always love your craft with me videos and can’t wait to see what you do with the lucky giveaway winner. Thanks for your generosity!
I just want to come and craft with you.!!!!!! You have such great ideas!!!!
I finally made my first hard back JJ. I gave it to my son for Christmas. He thought it was great. But he has to say that because I am Mom. I put in two signatures because it was only a one inch spine. But I think I put them each of them too close to each side of the spine because there was a gap between them. But he was happy and that's what's important. I did the pamphlet stitch and the stitches were straight!!! I used your method of making a template for the holes. Thanks for all your ideas.
Freida, congrats on your first journal! I have gaps between signatures too, but that’s so I can fill up the pages and it has room to expand!! 😬
Gayle Agostinelli thank you for taking the time to reply. I had so much fun making the journal. I can't wait to start my next one. I am going to take a cue from u and make a bunch of embellishments first.
I love the book . You are awesome. Thank you
Great idea on the center fold, love it.
I love Edith Holden Books! Love the tags etc!
Gayle, I'm a hygienist so hope your day at the dentist was not too bad, love your ideas , as usual :)
Love what your doing with scraps 💕 so creative ♥️
💖👍😊 ... love it .... as always 😉🙋♀️
I love how the tags turned out!
Love the collages page morphing into tags!💕💕
Great ideas Gail thanks for sharing. Regards Susanna xx
oh wow !! those are gorgeous !!!!
sabine
I just love that glue! Art glitter glue!
So excited! Just got my first “Edith Holden” book to use in my first Junk Journal! Love it! Thanks, Gayle, for the inspiration!
Mines coming in the mail. It's taking forever. 9th day since shipping and no tracking. I'm stressed over it. Enjoy yours. Will you copy pages or rip with wild abandon? Lol I'm ripping. Going to order another copy for reading. Have a great weekend a year later....lol
Love this & all your videos! Yes we did the same thing on New Year’s Eve. Yes that movie was totall intense! Totally good! Would watch it again.
This series, re-imagined scraps, have been so helpful! Thank you. Your big rolls of washi, I put a small piece of waxed paper on the end so I don't have to fight with the darn thing.
Great idea, Kath!! ❤️
Kath McMillen I did a video about ideas to end crafting frustrations and showed that I save plastic packaging and cut small triangles from the plastic and use them on my washi rolls and other tapes. I keep them in a box and grab one whenever I start a new washi roll. Saves you from struggling to find the end.
I finally decided to get online and buy a Edith Holden book. I got it and someone had cut ALL the birds out of every page that a bird was on. I knew it was used but the post said all pages in tact. Disappointed but I will still use it. Just the writing is neat so that’s good but man was I disappointed. I’m gonna buy another hopefully it will have birds too this time...
I just ordered my own Edith Holden book with some Christmas amazon money. 🎉🎉. I love learning from you❤️ thanks Gail!
👍👍👍 you’r awesome
Great ideas... Thanks for sharing... Have a blessed day..
Love how the tags turned out. I thought you were going need the pliers for that washi roll for a moment! 😂
Love the idea’s! I think I need to get my machine that does fancy stitches out ❤️
At 1st I didn't think I would like it,then when u cut it n started making tags n such,I loved it. Tfs
Loved this as usual
I love all of these!
Hi Gayle you've been having some fun😍 I hope to get some Journaling and JJ's done in the coming weeks 😍
