Jeff is hilarious. This is pretty early in his career. He's got lots of different characters now. A must watch. It's so fun watching people find these things that they've never heard of and enjoying them
Small correction, this isn't early in his career. This is likely around 2010 and not even the original Walter. I've been following Jeff since the 80s. Everything else I agree with though.
Yes Britt, you have to go deeper down the rabbit hole of Jeff Dunham. He's the master of this form of comedy. You've just experienced Walter, now you need to see the rest. Peanut or Achmed seem to be the crowd favorites. Try a video where he has Peanut and Jose at the same time. That's right two puppets at once with no hesitation in the conversation between the three of them. There's actually a video where Peanut looks at Jeff and says, what the hells wrong with you we can't talk at the same time.
Always love your reactions! Jeff Dunham is hysterical. I saw him live last year in Phoenix and had the unfortunate need to use the restroom midway thru the show. He teased me as I departed, chatted with my friend while I was gone, and then welcomed me back into the theater. It was amazing. My mom and sister are actually going to his show tomorrow night. His ability to make you believe that there are two people conversing is incredible. You mentioned how Jeff moves the character, but pay extra attention to the additional moving parts on each character (Walter's eye brows in this one). Jeff makes all of his own characters and adds those extra details that he then expertly controls during the show.
@@ibstrummin2, no idea, but I'd love to see it if it were. I've heard the story several times from my friend about the conversation Jeff had with him while I was out, but it would be fun to actually see/hear it.
Jeff has done the opposite of mellowing with time, actually has become more savage. It is easier to do when someone else does the talking. Jeff was making his own puppets in elementary school and actually was getting paying jobs. He makes all of his coworkers (they are more than just puppets). Walter frequently confronts audience members. Other coworkers include Peanut, José Jalapeno on a Stick, Achmed the Dead Terrorist (I Kill You) and Bubba J among others. We saw him a couple times early on in his career when the tickets were affordable. Other great ventriloquists are Darci Lynn Farmer and Terry Fator, both AGT winners.
He gives you the impression and belief he's actually having a conversation and there are two people conversing! So casual and funny as to his stories are about life, things some of us think of, but don't say! You probably would like most of his characters! Thanks for sharing. I enjoy your enthusiasm!!
Jeff did an interview with Walter, and Walter roasted the other people being interviewed. I think one of them was Shaq. He got angry with Walter, but not with Jeff. That tells you how good he is 🤣
Please, please react to more Dunham, but more importantly.. Darcy Lynn. You should be able to find a compilation of her AGT performances. Let's just say, she has a gift.
Рік тому+2
This was the comment I was looking for :) Jeff is one of my top two comedians, Darcy being the second. And in some ways I'm even more impressed by her :)
You need to watch & react to all his characters. Peanut, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Bubba J, Sweet Daddy D, Jose Jalepeno on a Stick & you just watched Walter. Peanut was his first character. These are by far his best & I promise you a laugh from each one.
Jeff's art form is something he has worked on the better part of his life. He got his first dummy at age 8 and has been working on it ever since. Also, with the exception of Peanut, he makes his own dummies, including Walter.
You mentioned how human Walter looks. I'm not sure if you are aware of this but Jeff makes his own puppets and he modeled Walter's frown after his own. He has shown this in a behind the scenes video. Also one I recommend is when Jeff was on the Family Feud with Steve Harvey. Jeff had Walter out and Steve got so involved in his conversation with Walter he actually forgot he was talking to a puppet
If you liked this then definitely check out more of his bits with Peanut an several other characters. The one's with Peanut are my personal favorite though
There're times Jeff will speak using four puppets and himself. Not only is that talented. To speak at once using five different voices. Also being able to remember and be quick with what voice he's going to use.
Britt! You're absolutely right about dummies being scary...they ARE creepy-looking. A classic TV series, The Twilight Zone, made an entire episode about a dummy that came to life. Really horrifying. But you may not know that Jeff Dunham designs all his current dummies himself, starting on the computer. So they end up being funny, not creepy. So there's nothing wrong with you. The standard dummies used by other ventriloquists are creepy.
I was able to get to tickets for my parents anniversary so took them to see him live in Daytona Beach. Our faces and stomachs hurt by the end from laughing so much.
Early Jeff, this is a rabbit hole you should definitely check out, Jeff has some awesome characters. He is the most successful Comedian in America and is in the Guinness Book of World Records for most tickets sold to a Comedy Tour. He is also America's highest grossing Comedian...people love him because he doesn't pick a side on touchy subjects, he has a policy of making fun of all sides and not over-offending anyone. He is considered the worlds best Ventriliquist. This was early in his career, he is currently 60 and still going strong. Love to watch this man, always makes me fall off the couch laughing! 🤣❤
For a long time, it was believed that Canadian beer had a higher alcohol then American beer. This was because the two were using different systems for measuring alcohol content. On average, there's about a 0.5% difference. Back then, it looked like a 2-4% difference. The joke in Canada was always "American beer is like making love in a canoe..."
Marriage can do that, or it can have the opposite effect depending on who you marry. If you marry someone you thought you loved but after enough constant contact you discover you hate them and discontentment grows in bitterness and contempt until after a few decades you become… well, like Walter. But if you marry the right person the marriage will only make life better as the years go by.
There are routines where Jeff actually has an argument with three puppets at once, doing their voices and his own, keeping straight which voice and which line, all in rapd-fire. Tidbit, Jeff actually builds the puppets himself, except for their outfits. He has had a range of puppets who didn't ladt. Swee Daddy D was Jeff's business manager for a time, but easily-offended sorts decided a white man shouldn't talk for a black...puppet. Nevermind the purple one, I guess that's okay. He had a female puppet early on but retired her because he couldn't write material for a female or haracter since he can't think like a woman. Another very talrnted ventriloquist with min-scary puppets is Darci Lynn Farmer. Jeff and Darci teamed up to do a Halloween skit where their various puppets scared each other while trick or treating.
A good one to watch by J. Dunham is "Peanut's Password Panic". A modern kind of sideways take on Abbott, and Costello's "Who's On First". Which is also well worth checking out, and may be the world's best known bit.
If you love Walter, you have to check out his other characters...Peanut, Bubba J, & the rest will have you rolling with laughter Jeff's shows are a roller coaster ride of sanity going off the cliff 😂
Yes, the Canadians do like a cold brew. It isn't so much the case now that craft beer is so popular, but at one time we had regulations limiting the alcohol content of beer. My Canadian friends had lots of jokes about our beer. The one I remember the most... What does Budweiser and the beach have in common? They are both near water.
That sounds like a cleaned up version of the old Monty Python joke: Q: Why is American beer like having secks in a canoe? A: Because it's f**king close to water.
Loved the reaction Walter has a bunch of skits that are worth your time maybe not a reaction to them all but his other characters are a blast too Peanut is a trip
Welcome to Dunham-land! You'll love him and his group of misfits. I can't wait for you to see him in his overseas special...it was a few years ago, but this particular clip is from several years ago.
Jeff is a legend. not only is he the only actual funny ventriloquist. his puppets are also NOT creepy or irritating looking but really well made. and he has a TON of them, from regulars like , Walter, peanut, jose, bubba J and achmed to one offs or semi regulars like sweet daddy D, achmed JR or URL
I just discovered your reaction channel and I've enjoyed your reactions enough to subscribe. As others have stated, he has many other characters. Everybody seems to enjoy Peanut, but I enjoy Peanut more when he is arguing with Jose Jalepeno. There is a video where Peanut has a Jeff doll, so Jeff pulls out a smaller peanut doll. So Jeff is talking himself and voicing the original Peanut doll, the Jeff doll and the little Peanut doll. Absolutely mindblowing!!! But my absolute favorite is Achmed the dead Terrorist. It's definitely worth watching. And may your marriage never resemble Walter's! Keep up the good work.

Terry Fator has been one of the most successful winners in “AGT” history, with his singing ventriloquist impressions act finding great popularity in Las Vegas.Sep 28, 2023
