Even smarter is that he probably originally worked out little routines just in case he did actually lose control of the dummy, then just worked them into the show.
There was one where he forgot his lines. He does multiple shows with different audiences. He had a couple drinks in between and during one he forgot where he was in the routine and was asking for help. Think it was with Walter who insulted someone offering help. Then apologized and ask where it was again.
But he sells it enough on some of the takes. Like, I keep watching and assume he meant to throw Peanut but it happened too soon, and he was surprised by that.
I was in that audience. Drove from NYC to DC just for the show. Not a blooper. Totally scripted. I saw him twice on that tour and he did it at both shows. Same as when he messes up Ahmed’s legs. Early in his career, Jeff would introduce Peanut by saying he wasn’t of this earth and he is a creature called a Woozle.
Actually, Peanut is from "a small Micronesian country" in some early skits. Which is why he loves Red Bull, he wants to grow wings, fly home, and do Woozle standup
"this is so unhinged" when he threw peanut coincidentally the hilarious thing about you saying that is the special that is on is literally called unhinged in hollywood lol
I still find it hard to believe how big Jeff has gotten. I remember back in the late 80's and early 90's going to a local comedy club "Charlie Goodnight's" which I do not think is around anymore, to see Jeff, Peanut and Walter and Jose (back in those days there was no Achmed or Bubba J). I saw him 3-4 times there back in those days and loved every show. It's great to see him have all this success.
Best thing I ever saw from Jeff was so simple. He said his kids hated going to the toy store with him,,,, LOL Ohh Id have paid to see that! Jeff in a doll isle for two minutes gets bord and kids and some parents have therapy for years after. LMAO
That whole schtick that he does flipping Peanut has been part of his act since he appeared on the original Johnny Carson show. There's a blooper where Peanut's hair falls off and he just adlibs the entire thing. And for the record....Peanut is a Woozle.
5:15 Considering his next special after the bit about his wife (excluding Christmas) was largely about his divorce, he’s acknowledging the pain that led to it through comedy (The divorce happened less than 2 years after that special was released)
Jeff Dunham is SO talented! And is such a good showman that people, even adults, find themselves half believing the dummies are "real" people! LOL I've always rather liked ventriloquism, but Dunham makes me LOVE it! SO FUNNY! And yeah, his stuff is so good & smooth it really IS hard to tell WHEN something is planned vs a BLOOPER! (I "think" Peanut flying off WAS an actual blooper, but I can never KNOW for certain.)
you really should do Darci Lynne she was on American got talent and won she amazing she a Singer her song My thing is an Original song Ventriloquist she youngest person to ever Win America got Talent
One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen him do was drinking while with Peanut, Jose Jalapeño on a stick, and a worm and while drinking was talking at the same time.
This special came out when Jeff was taking off. The whole Jef-fa-fa bit was a sneaky way to advertise and drive people to his website before UA-cam.... And it worked.
I'm 46yrs old, I can still remember the first time I ever seen him perform. I was still in grade school. Peanut is Jeff's first puppet character then Jalapeno on a stick. One by one the roster grew... ...DunHAAMMM!
9:14 I actually remember this. Jeff was doing a show over in the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Australia, I believe it was improvised when to tossed peanut across the stage to skip the coffee bit.
Maybe about 15 yrs. ago, I knew waayyyy in advance Jeff was going to be in Vega, I booked my vaction specifically, ( sorry I am old now, and can't spell), around going to see his show. Since I booked so early, I scored a ticet in row 3 center, from the stage. It was GREAT !!! I love this guy, and peanut. But as my friends all tell me, I am a female Walter. And I cann't say they are wrong. If anyone gets a chance to see him live, do it! But the seats clse to the stage are very pricy, and go fast. Book early. I only paid $99. for mine.🤣🤣🤣 It was an experience I will never forget.
First time I saw Jeff, he was doing that bit. Seeing him argue with Peanut, little dummy, the worm, and Jose near simultaneously was hilarious. “You think that’s good, one day his tongue’s going to get a hernia.” It was a 10 minute performance at the Laugh Factory in 1994 that I recorded off Fox around 11pm. I wish I still had it but I lost all my VHS tapes during a move. But, I have since seen the bit during one of his earlier comedy specials and it’s almost exactly the same. Peanut is my favorite of Jeff’s puppets.
Holy moly, I found it on UA-cam- the EXACT recording I used to have. It was great to see it again. ua-cam.com/video/2LCha6hhhD8/v-deo.htmlsi=IF2Z28jHV0ekmfra
I think Jeff said he's been doing ventriloquism since he was a kid. His parents weren't fond of him playing with dolls. Also, he did divorce his then-wife. Not saying I know if Peanut was right.
I actually wonder though, if at one performance or another something happened accidentally that got such a good reaction that he incorporated it into the show. Like the 'I actually AM making him mad!"
You should Jeff Dunham with Achmed the Dead Terrorist. Another you should look up is Dean Martins Roast, the one with Frank Sinatra and watch the segment with Red Buttons.....He does a routine called....They didn't get a dinner. You'll crack up!
Virginia - North or South... As an example of the problem. Robert E Lee's estate grounds are now called Arlington National Cemetary in Virginia. "This is so unhinged..." funny you should say that, because that clip happened to be from his video called "Unhinged in Hollywood"! yes, that moment is scripted. in Jeff's first appearance on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1990, he did that bit with Peanut then, too.
The amazing thing about watching Jeff is that it's very easy to forget that your watching a one person act. He has the ability to make his puppets seem alive. I believe Peanut and Walter were the first characters he had, adding more as he evolved. I think he actually has 6 to 8 now, so you've got a lot more searching and watching to do.
I believe the first time he threw Peanut early in his career, it was unscripted and he actually did throw him. It just got such a reaction that he continued to use it. Same with the first time Peanut's hair went flying off
So, others in the comments are saying that throwing peanut was planned. I seriously could not tell if it was or not. At first I thought it was a blooper and unscripted and Jeff just did improv, he just winged it. Jeff is a freaking genius! There’s another show he does in Hollywood where Achmed’s arm keeps falling off and then when he reaches down to pick it up again, Achmed’s chest ribs fall off. You can see that Jeff actually pulls the ribs off, while grabbing his arm. But I think that Achmed’s arm falling off was actually a blooper, wasn’t part of the show. Then Jeff just improvised on the fly. That’s what I think happened. But he is such a genius and so funny and makes it look so effortless; you know he’s been doing this a long time.
Jeff is known for his quick comebacks and improvisation when bloopers happen. He is a true genius when it comes to that. And Jose Jalapeno is one of his most loved characters, besides Peanut, as they are a comedy duo by themselves.
The "youre the other white meat" has nothing to do with race. Back in the day, there were tv commercials about pork being the other white meat. So, peanut is calling Jeff a pig. 😅😂 haaaammmm
Hello Brit-ta (sorry, couldn't resist). I bet you can't get Jeff's website out of your head now. I have actually used that as a way to remember how to spell it. (some of these might feature the same material). There's a VERY early version of Jose (along with little ugly Jeff) in the video "Jeff Dunham 1991" which is on the 'Mark Errington' YT channel.
I’ve seen this clip but it never gets old! 😂 by the way, I really like the new studio. And I have to ask, is that by any chance a Kiss 45 above the downtown post poster? I can tell it’s a Casablanca Records 45. And Casablanca was their record label, so I had to ask. You should react to some Kiss songs. There’s plenty to choose from from their 50 year career. 👍🏼
Not so fun fact: This came out in 2007 and Jeff divorced his wife in 2008. What I find mostly interesting is that Jeff is the one that initiated the divorce which is unlikely in most marriages. Jeff's puppets often act as his inner voices and I wouldn't be surprised of that whole part with Peanut about his wife is actually how he feels.
Just so you know, everything that happens on stage is 100% planned by Jeff and even more so for the specials. He is an absolute genius. 👍👍👍👍
Even smarter is that he probably originally worked out little routines just in case he did actually lose control of the dummy, then just worked them into the show.

But he sells it enough on some of the takes. Like, I keep watching and assume he meant to throw Peanut but it happened too soon, and he was surprised by that.
@@powerrangernerd8122 That's just how good he is. Oh and by the way he has been "accidentally" tossing Peanut for least 30 years that I know of.
Jeff Dunham peanut and jose phalapeno on a stick bad day. A must watch video. Videos with those two puppets together are the best.
Is that misspelled on purpose? Phalla... jalapeño??
I was in that audience. Drove from NYC to DC just for the show.
Not a blooper. Totally scripted. I saw him twice on that tour and he did it at both shows. Same as when he messes up Ahmed’s legs. Early in his career, Jeff would introduce Peanut by saying he wasn’t of this earth and he is a creature called a Woozle.
he does great selling it, pretty fun
@@aviator2252He is insanely talented as a ventriloquist.
Actually, Peanut is from "a small Micronesian country" in some early skits. Which is why he loves Red Bull, he wants to grow wings, fly home, and do Woozle standup
I guess i'm just easy to fool 'cause I always buy it as unscripted. but its more fun that way so. . . .
"this is so unhinged" when he threw peanut coincidentally the hilarious thing about you saying that is the special that is on is literally called unhinged in hollywood lol
That particular incident brings out what I love about Jeff how he can just improve on the fly. He's truly a ventriloquist legend!!!
It's always amazing how much Peanut shows emotion/expression for basically being a puppet.
Of all Jeff Dunham's brilliant characters, the physicality of his relationship with Peanut is the absolute funniest!
Everything Jeff does is intentional, his brilliance is making it seem natural
He also makes his own dolls. I watched something he put out years ago, where carces, and molds them himself.
Jeff Dunham is a genius!!😂😂😂 There's no 2 ways about it.. ❤❤😂😂😂😂
I like the fact that the puppets are "self-aware" that they are puppets in character and part of the show.
I would love to see you react to an entire show of Jeff's. Spark of Insanity is a classic.
That whole schtick that he does flipping Peanut has been part of his act since he appeared on the original Johnny Carson show. There's a blooper where Peanut's hair falls off and he just adlibs the entire thing. And for the record....Peanut is a Woozle.
I've rarely laughed harder than the first time I saw Achmed back in highschool with a buddy
Which one was that? I must have missed it.
5:15 Considering his next special after the bit about his wife (excluding Christmas) was largely about his divorce, he’s acknowledging the pain that led to it through comedy (The divorce happened less than 2 years after that special was released)
Jeff's puppets can say a lot of things that Jeff, himself, would get in trouble for. 🙂
Behold the power of third party telephone game. If you want to say something without getting in trouble, just have a Fall guy to take the blame.
Jeff Dunham is SO talented! And is such a good showman that people, even adults, find themselves half believing the dummies are "real" people! LOL

Jeff Dunham is just absolutely wonderful!
One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen him do was drinking while with Peanut, Jose Jalapeño on a stick, and a worm and while drinking was talking at the same time.
I remember him doing that during a special during covid
I remember that skit. It was funny as hell.
The throwing of Peanut has been in his act forever same with finding a shoe comment. Pure genius
Some of the bits like throwing peanut, talking over each other, and the found shoe bit are all from when he did stand up clubs
This special came out when Jeff was taking off. The whole Jef-fa-fa bit was a sneaky way to advertise and drive people to his website before UA-cam.... And it worked.
We NEED to get you Reaction to *Darci Lynn (Full Audition)* singing Ventriloquist
6:21 for reference Jeff is 63 & his wife is 43. That’s why Peanuts joke is so funny.
He was married to a different (dame age as him) woman when he did this act in the early 2000's.
You want to see how good he really is check out Jeff Dunham, peanut, Jose jalapeno, and little Jeff.
Jeff is so good that we find ourselves taking sides in their arguments. It’s all Jeff! 😂
Get some Jose Jalapeño on the channel, girl!
It's all a joke! Jeff Dunham is adult comedy!

He has thrown Peanut a couple of times
9:14 I actually remember this. Jeff was doing a show over in the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Australia, I believe it was improvised when to tossed peanut across the stage to skip the coffee bit.
I’ve been to his show before, he’s one of my top comedians!

Pork producers' association advertising = "Pork, the other white meat." Right up there with the "movers and shakers of the world drink coffee.".
Your reactions were priceless! Thank you for doing this!
Jeff's divorce was part of the act with his crew and A LOT of things were outed WoW..
Hey Britt, here's a reaction Jeff dunham s 1st appearance on the Tonight show with Johnny Carson. Hilarious 😂
Walter is my favorite. The thing about his characters, is that we all grew up with these people or are people in our lives. That's why it's relatable.
Jeff gets puppets to a think on how their own plus the ventriloquism
The “That’s Good!” Is Peanut’s normal intro.
You should check out peanut doing night before Christmas. So good. Absolutely brilliant
There use to be a tequila bottle with a worm that he used as well. He would voice the worm.
I’m going to have to find that 😂

If it was a happy coincidence the first time it was before his first time on Jonny Carson decades ago.
The funniest part to me was the last segment when Peanut hit the floor.Thank for sharing Britt😅😅
