It looks like people have stolen rocks off the fireplace since the last video I saw, also… That rusted motorcycle sitting there is one of the motorcycles from the film. Which, for whatever reason, was left out back of the house, and I guess burnt when those stupid kids burnt the house down. It’s amazing, the frame is still there. Also, the well still works… Though like you said, the windmill has to spin in order to pump the water out. The owner said that he would love to rebuild the house and build the second floor as it was in the film and rent it out via Airbnb. Last time I heard anything about it, he was thinking about doing a Kickstarter crowd funded thing to try to get the money together to do so. So maybe more Friday films could be filmed out there. Though I haven’t heard anything about it lately. I think the last time I heard something was right around the time that you visited in 2020. My God, what an incredible thing it would be to rent the house via Airbnb. It would truly be a dream with a bunch of friends.
There is definitely a lack of rock on the fireplace, sadly. I’ll honestly admit I was tempted to take one, myself, but I was looking on the ground for one that would have already fallen off. No way was I going to degrade the site further. I didn’t know that about the motorcycle. I think I mentioned in my footage that a couple years before I was there, it was placed on the other side of the fake barranca where the bridge used to be. Then later in the pit under the house foundation. Why these things would be moved around so much is weird. May I ask where you heard that news from the property owner? Given its location, it would be…interesting…to consider it a viable Air BNB home but I understand us fans enough to know we’d have it booked out solid for some time. I’m happy to hear I offered something new to filming there locations. I wanted to do more than I did but neglected in so many ways. No prep, traveling there on a whim, the excessive heat of the day, locals doing their thing. Having never filmed anything before, I was a bit self conscious about it. I think what you’ve been seeing all these years, and thinking it’s the barn, is actually the well shed that exists where the windmill is now. It’s right there at the foot of the dock. You see it from the reverse angle when Shelley is watching Vera sit back down on it. Next time you watch, keep that in mind. Speaking of which, pay attention to when Jason kills Vera. There’s what appears to be a reddish building right behind Jason. I mentioned it in my shoot. I still can’t figure that one out. There’s nothing there but a hillside directly behind the trees and house on that side of the lot. I wonder if it’s a facade but for what? Apologies for the delay in responding to you. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment twice in such detail. I appreciate this kind of interaction!
Ty...Great Video....My fave Friday, I would luv to visit this location...I understand this is private property... Could you please tell me how you gained access....
Thank you very much! It was my first attempt at filming with the intent of posting anything on UA-cam. Happy to have your approval! Thank you, as well, for watching and taking the time to comment. As much as I’d love to answer your question, as you say, it is private property. I don’t want to be responsible for encouraging anything inappropriate. It’s why I also won’t tell anyone how to find the place. I hope you understand.
I agree! This was the first thing I ever filmed with the intent of posting on UA-cam, and also the first project I ever put together with any editing software. In short, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, just fumbling my way through this. The feedback I’ve received has me considering a revisit, possibly for the first year anniversary of my channel. Maybe it would be fun to see what I’ve learned and what I can do with that. What do you think? Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
@SumDumGy I see this was posted a month ago. Did you film this video a month ago? I heard that the owner of the property was going to rebuild the cabin on that site like a couple of years ago, but it doesn't look like it's happening.
@@ShinobiShaman This is correct. I recorded the footage the summer of 2020. I haven’t heard any news about the cabin potentially being rebuilt but it’s always possible. I l’ve considered taking another trip out there in the spring when the weather is more appropriate and it looks more inviting. If I make it and manage to get in again, I’ll record some new footage. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!
Where does that idea come from? I’ve never heard it suggested before. Surmising that’s correct, it messes with the entirety of the ending of that film. Where is Paul if the window scene didn’t happen? The opening of Part 3 makes it clear there was only one survivor for whatever reason. If the window scene didn’t happen, Paul would still be there, alive, right? If it weren’t for Paul missing, one could use the window scene as a consistency of endings where each of the first three films concluded with an attacking dream sequence. Even the fourth film had one shot but deleted. One could likewise claim the closing scene of the fifth film is also one. I think filming that scene was a mistake though. Whatever the intention of it, it doesn’t further the story of either film and neither benefits from it at all. It only adds conflict and confusion. I’d love to hear more of your thoughts on the subject.
@@backforblood3421 What I’m asking you is where you’re getting this idea though. No matter how you play it out, it makes Paul’s absence an issue when Ginny wakes up alone as she’s being loaded into the ambulance the next day.
@@backforblood3421 That’s really disappointing, if that’s the case. Maybe someday someone will come across this discussion and contribute to fill in the blanks. Not that these two movies ever flowed together in any organic sense anyway.
@@davesmithson5634 Very strange. I’m not sure there’s anything I can do about it but I will look into it. Thank you for trying to watch and bringing it to my attention.
That’s a very valid point, thank you. Now that you mention it I regret it didn’t occur to me at the time, which is ironic with the stills I did end up including at the end. A missed opportunity, to be sure. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment/critique. Maybe another trip on the future?
I love these videos normally but I agree with the other comments. Posting some before pictures would make the video much better and your audio is bad. We hear your breathing more than anything else.
I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! I’m sorry my video was not to your liking. This was my first attempt at filming anything for a UA-cam release. I used the footage to launch my channel. I’m just a guy and an iPhone, which may be what I always am. I had no experience either with filming or with any editing software. Very much an “off the cuff” approach. The audio issue… On one hand, I can’t hear what others are. On my end everything sounds fine and crystal clear. It’s difficult to fix what I cannot detect. In the other hand, traipsing around in near hundred degree heat will get a person panting under the best of circumstances. I hope to revisit this in the near future, possibly a redo for my channel’s one year anniversary. The weather will be better and I thought it may be an interesting experiment to compare if I’ve learned much in that time. I hope you’ll join me!

The point of the scene where Jason has pulled the machete out of his shoulder is to show that they were saying the window thing never happened.
