- A visit to the Veluzat Motion Picture Ranch in November 2003 where Friday the 13th part 3 was filmed in 1982. The property is also seen in the opening of the following up, Friday the 13th part 4 (The Final Chapter).
The cabin and barn were also used in other productions such as the films Murphy’s Law with Charles Bronson & Bulletproof starring Adam Sandler & Damon Wayans. TV shows such as CSI also utilized the location for various episodes.
This and the 2005 footage also on this channel are the only known sources of footage outside of appearing in productions prior to the cabin perishing at the hands of trespassers in April 2006.
What I find fascinating beyond the actual footage here, is the fact that you shot this 21 years after the movie. And now here we stand watching THIS FOOTAGE almost 21 years later. Insane!
FINALLY A VIDEO THAT HAS THE HOUSE IN IT! THIS IS THE ONLY ONE
This is my favorite Jason movie.
Thanks so much for posting!
Wow! Finally after so many years I finally get to see how the house inside looks like! Thank you so much I was always so curious how the house inside looked like. I wonder how in the movie it looks like there’s a second floor but here it shows none. I am glad you filmed this before the house was destroyed this is a piece of history
Great job! Thanks so much for posting
cant believe the rope is still there after all these years..
Thank you for sharing this awesome footage of a historic location for Friday the 13th fans. What happened to it is a shame, but thanks to footage like this atleast we get a nice tour of it
Glad you enjoyed it
at least
in case
a lot
(Just for future posts)
Helicopter passing at the end over the barn is pretty wild
Thank very much for this video
This is amazing!!! Thank you so much for sharing these videos with us! Friday the 13th Part III is my favorite movie of the franchise and I wish they would talk more about the cabin, I really wanted to know how was the second floor like, if it had movable walls, etc... Happy to hear they're rebuilding it soon though!
Welcome. You should watch the part III documentary we did on this channel. The cast talks about it.
Part 3 is in my top 3. This is wild to see it like this.
First 3 films were the best and richard brooker was the best jason..just my opinion of course.
The space shown @ 1:52 would've been the kitchen from the movie. They had a wall there at the time that had the swinging door that Chili came out of after realizing Shelly is dead. @ 3:51, if you look at the first window, you can see that the shingles don't match the main facade. This was originally the door where Rick and Chris entered when they got back to the house that opened into the kitchen. This was the side of the house that Chris saw from the canoe the next day. The back door, with the window above with Jason scratching at it.
Correct
Great video. I heard they were planning to rebuild the Higgins house.
Yeah and that’s cool but will never be the original again. There is a part 3 documentary that I did on my UA-cam page that talks a bit about it, the making of part 3 and the story of Richard Brooker
"they"
If I remember correctly, there was a Friday the 13th site that had video before youtube . I'm sure I had seen this on that site ...and other clips/audio from the movies .
Great video I also heard about them rebuilding the cabin and I'm wondering if they rebuilt it yet have they started working on it yet are they currently working on the cabin or what's going on with it
That’s nice but a reboot is never the original
Where is this ? East Coast ?
Newhall, CA
Richard brooker was the best Jason far better than hodder
Not far better; but definitely the better portrayal overall
@darkgardenrecords9264
Hodder is bottom 2 IMO. 7-10 are "monster" movies NOT Friday thr 13th/Jason movies. I think White was slightly better and Brooker but Brooker had the best look and was fantastic.
The part 3 chase scene is the best in the series.
