I can’t remember my exact gear but I had heavy armour (I used the set you get from the merchant after you kill the that monster NPC and get invaded by him) and a shield with 100% holy damage block. Then I had a maxed out spear with bleed, with a bleed AOW to get bleed up to 85%. Then I hid behind the shield and stabbed him to death with my mimic tear.
