Great video! 👏 I love the way you did it! These animals are really stunning! 😯 Thanks for explaining part of the process. I knew it was a lot of work but it's bigger than I thought! 😵 Thank you for sharing ! ✨
I think your uploads are great, thank you for sharing them. It is really good to see the process of someone choosing their subject and then composing the shot. I am new to the OM system but have similar gear, just need vast more duds to learn the actual process so to speak. I do find it very difficult to use the diffuser though as it is very awkward to use in natural settings, another skill to learn. I have never used a clamp method, maybe the way forward. I also like the way you use the screen to take the picture, I will have to look into that one too. Thanks once again for making the videos. It's not been a great year for inverts in UK, I am hoping that their populations bounce back next year. Fingers crossed
Thank you! It can be tricky using the diffuser out in the field, I know a lot of macro folk who take a clamp out in the field with them like I did here.. going out early in the morning helps a lot too as the insects haven't warmed up enough to fly away quickly :) It has been a very poor year for insects sadly, I do hope it's just a one off bad year and not a sign of things to come
I don’t know much about photography. So you make one great picture out of many single picture. Like you showed with the focus on the computer. Lol I only have a Panasonic LUMIX and it’s on automatic. So interesting to see , how you make the final picture ❤
Really cool to see your process! Does the lens auto focus on the subject when you set up? And when you shoot the stack, does the camera automatically do the front to back focusing for each shot? That's really cool. Thanks for sharing! Your photos are really awesome
Thanks! I shoot with manual focus but I know others who use auto - just preference I suppose :) The camera has built in focus bracketing so yes once take the first photo it will automatically shift the focus back for each shot, so all I have to do is wait until I'm happy with the amount of photos it's taken and then stop it :)
It's certainly a game changer when it come to macro! You can always do the push focus method instead, takes a lot of practice and a steady hand though 😅
@redal-uk agreed that's what I tey doing, however I end up with maybe 1 good photo out of a hundred attempts. I also didnt realize there were specific editing software for stacking and have been trying to use photoshop which works only with 10 photos, maybe 15 max before it breaks.

Thank you! Yeah it's a lot of work for some photos but its worth it to see all the tiny details we'd never see normally :)
I would love to get in macro photography..I find it fascinating too.
Interesting approach great content
Thank you, appreciate that!

Great video. It was interesting to see your process on how you do it. I'd like to see more 👍
Thank you 🙏

Love the video, would be interested to know your settings with the flash.
@@redal-uk That's awesome! Thanks for the reply
Beautiful photos, i wonder tho, does focus bracketing automatically starts to shoot from the nearliest point to the farrest or what?
Thank you! Yes bracketing will take photos while moving the focus back so I have to start with it at the closest point
After seeing this, I'm sooo jealous my a7r3 doesn't have focus bracketing
