Just caught up with you guys and want to let you know that we also have a hybrid, Signature Iridium 13s, and it too has the shitty anti-flap system. After several arguments my other half decided to number and initial each part, i.e. 1F or 2R etc, to make it a little easier, and it has. Also the more we've put them on the quicker the job's become but this really is a bit of an issue with the imported hybrids. Although having said this you need the anti-flaps to put up any of the walls of the annex which we have used and find brilliant if we're set up for a few days. Will be watching to see if you come up with a solution. Enjoy your trip!!
Hi @@Lainiefj, thanks for reaching out. I’ve managed to work out how to pop on the flap a little easier but we haven’t needed to use it too much lately. Will have to do a post update and hopefully this will help others.
really looking into getting the ceduna 15 considering the amount of kit you get for the price. How is the overall quality build since having it for a few months?
The van has help up pretty well given the tracks we'e put her through. For the price and what you get I don't think there are any other vans that would be better. But you always have a few teething issues as well. The anti flap kit is terrible. The diesel heater could definitely be better and we've had a few electrical issues that need to be taken care of under warranty. We've got a service coming up in a couple of weeks so we'll see if they can sort everything out. Im planning to do a run through of some tips for the van. Keep an eye out.
Awesome. Thinking of getting one. So will watch all the adventures. Does it tow well? We have a hilux and we are thinking of getting airbags. Did you get suspension upgrade at all?
Gday Michael, we have put airbags on the rear to account to the 280-300kg towball weight. We’ve just did a weigh in at a public weigh bridge with the water tanks full. We had about 60kg left on the 3 tonne atm. When hitched the GVM on our car was 2680 (2800 max) with all passengers inside. Note that we’re not putting a bull bar on otherwise we’d have to do a gvm upgrade. We might do it later down the track but that will be an 8-10k exercise. I would assume a 300kg towball weight, add that to your existing weight and see how you go. Keep in mind that each axles has its own weight rating. Hope that helps.
@@Alexcampbelloz quick question, if you don't mind. What vehicle are you using to tow with? Also considering one of their hybrids and concerned about tow weight is all. My calcs add up for my Ute, just wanted to do a power comparison. tia. Peter
The MUX is a very capable tow vehicle. We opted for the MUX as it still suits our needs as a family car in and around the city. It's taken on some pretty tough tracks including the Gibb and has handled everything I've thrown at while towing the van with the exception of Inskip point (we definitely would have made the FB page on 'I got bogged at Inskip'). We have heavy duty (TJM) airbags on the rear shocks and they help with taking the pressure of the springs. If you get one new I would highly recommend upgrading the GCM/GVM before it is registered. We should have done this. Hope that helps.
We just got a Parkes 15 with the comfort+ pack so which was the same as the comfort, but has 705ah (3×235ah) lithium and the roof raises by compressor and airbags instead of pushing up manually, which you still can do if anything goes wrong. And yes....1000% agree that reverse camera is dogshit. We tried ours at handover and it was a clean lense but looked like itd been sprayed with that fake Christmas snow crap. Over all, we're far happier with it than a dual fold camper purely for the aircon for the wee lad and the minimal setup time. Cheers for reading!
I'm about to order a Parks 15 MK111 (today actually), how do you find it so far? Couldnt sleep last night, do I, dont I... LOL. seems your spec is exactly what i'm about to order.
You guys have a great trip ahead of you. The van sounds perfect 👍
Thanks Tim. We leave in a month so we’re getting pretty pumped. Lots to organise before then though.

Also, tows well at about 95km/h. Tows best with about 50% in the water tanks.

@@peterl3220 Sorry Peter, didn't see this till now. We tow with a 2024 MUX - we are close to the van tare and GCM when we have full water tanks.
How do you find towing with the mux?
