Very exciting for you all. Congrats. Fyi This is something I learnt after getting our first ever hybrid. When you plug an external solar blanket in, the system will only recognise that blanket as the only solar energy source. In order to achieve maximum solar, you need to have an additional mppt solar regulator for the solar blanket. Thats our next upgrade. Enjoy the new van. Good times ahead
Love it guys! Got some other great places to store things In our van too, so thanks! Another note, not sure if you know you can’t legally put anything in the gas storage, if there is an accident and they find there was other gear, can void warranty :)
I would love to know what you make in your Thermie while travelling, love my Thermie and would consider taking it on a long trip but when at home I use so many different ingredients, I know I’d forget to pack something. Do you have a collection you use. Also love that your gorgeous fur baby travels with you.
Thanks for the review. We have recently ordered a Parkes 15 and looking to do a trip up north with our girls this winter. You clearly rate the sirocco fans highly, but they are an expensive option at $320 each. You can get portable rechargeable fans for a lot less ($60) but they wouldn't put out as much air and probably not as quiet. Did you use them much? Was one enough for the main bed? Keen to hear your thoughts? We are from Tassie!
Looking at going from camper to van but like to be outside when camping. Wondering how often you used the indoor kitchen and ensuite vs outdoor kitchen and shower? Thanks for the vids!
Hi, Are your small storage wheels 6 stud PCD if so where did you source them from and how much lower was the van overall with these wheels and TYRES on the van? Thanks
Hi Monika! Yes they are 6 stud 14in rims with the lowest profile tyre we could find. We still need to deflate them to almost dead flat to get it under our shed. Our shed opening is 2400mm and we scrape in by about 10mm and from memory the van with off road tyres was around 2560mm. We don’t have aircon on the roof and also had the dealer supply our van with 16in rims instead of the standard 17in.
Hi guys love your videos! We are also heading out soon one year on a caravan. We are in the purchase process: we have two options the Parkes 15 Twin or the Jayco Journey outback 17”. What do you think?
Thanks heaps Andrea! Stoked to hear it! We can’t help you much there because we’ve never had a good look at the Jayco’s. There’s a lot to look at and heaps to consider, and it’s probably different for every family. For us we needed 2 bunks up front for our girls, and we were big on a decent outdoor kitchen. The indoor kitchen and ensuite was a bonus 👌💯
@@andreavasquez1235 you’re welcome! We’d happily buy another, but we’d try and get the dust reduction system, more solar, more lithium and a diesel heater fitted, not sure if we’d even fit all those extras 😃😃
@@SeaUsRoam great! Thank you for your advice. We will go with PMX then 😎 with some extras. They actually have one available to drive away right now which is what we need. Hope to see you guys on the road some day ☺️
Thanks Robyn! We’re glad that you enjoyed the video 🙏🏻☺️ While we are travelling we store the Thermie under the inside sink in the TM padded case (it fits perfectly). Once we set up camp it lives permanently on the external fold out table so we can run the power cord in thru the window to the inverter 👌

How did you find the limited 2 x 120ah lithium battery and 400W roof solar panels hold up on your travels.

Love your videos. Look forward to following your journey. Can I ask where you purchased your throw rug on your bed and your beautiful towels from?
Thank you 🙏🏻
The throw rug is from Hendeer, and our bath towels are Layday ☺️
@@SeaUsRoam thank you
Hey mate great video. How the parkes 15 going thesebdays 😮 any issues ?
Air bag suspension should solve your height issues and relatively cheap to do

How well does the power supply keep up with the Thermie or do you use it sparingly.
Your video inspired me to get one for my family and I....until I saw the price.....$60,000. Great video though.
We’re glad you enjoyed the video! 😎
Good info but that’s the problem when buying second hand ur getting a portable dog kennel 😷
But dogs are better than most people so it’s all good 🤣😂
