Some thing tells me he doesn’t like the feet
Take a look at the silver lining, at least the Mattel raptors have their sickle claws. COUGHhasbroCOUGH
No way I couldn’t tell
Really there’s no way I could tell
Yeah, concessions need to be made with children's toys, loll
Nah bro you’re crazy.

@@CatKatZeee because raptors are like a drug for the jurassic franchise, after a while, they just wont stop, more of the dinosaurs in the movies, more raptor figures, thats fan service for ya.
And I kind of like that lmao
True so true
Hammond Collection: Raptor, Para, Bary, T. Rex
*actually variety*
people grossly underestimate just how important the ankle articulation is on a digitigrade figure. without it, they can't compress the legs for crouching poses, extend for leaping or running poses, and in general the leg will always appear to be somewhat held back.
in a normal biped, it would be as if the foot was completely unable to move, but it still had a toe hinge.
I feel this little figure is alright, yeah the feet are way too big and is nothing incredible but overall It’s a pretty nice little figure for the price
I don't understand why they do this. The raptors, rexes and a lot of the other dinosaurs in the main jurassic world line also have giant feet. It completely ruins the figure for me
@@Lirka_906 it’s so they can stand easily. I don’t like it either but the reason is pretty clear
@@lousmer427 I mean I get that, but none of the Park dinosaurs had the big feet, and they stood fine
Nice review. I personally love the amber collection line more than hammond collection, but I 100% agree with your thoughts on the packaging
Is it just me that wonders why amber collection was so hated? It has beautiful articulation, and beautifal sculpts and colors.
Because all they did was velociraptors with the exact same sculpts
Raptor jaw issues really didn't help it. A fair number of them didn't have proper jaws. Mainly the JP3 Raptor.
@@yeeyeebubba1885 good point.
@@TaintedNimbus a well that makes sense.
Jurassic World was the fully functioning theme park on Isla Nublar, which opened to the public in 2005. The main attractions of the park were living dinosaurs, cloned by InGen's Dr. Henry Wu.
Inspired by, and built over, the original park, Jurassic World contained elements of a biological preserve, a safari, a zoo, and a theme park similar to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, SeaWorld Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio, Busch Gardens and all of Universal Studios' locations. The park, like the aforementioned parks, also functioned as a luxury resort with hotels, restaurants, nightlife and even a golf course.[2] By 2015, the park hosted over 20,000 visitors each day, while its hours of operation were from 8AM until 10PM.[3]
Are you okay?
Hello?
Jurassic World is a 2015 American science fiction action film.[3] It is the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise and the first in the Jurassic World trilogy. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, alongside Derek Connolly and Trevorrow from a story by Jaffa and Silver, and produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, the film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, and Irrfan Khan. Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World takes place on the same fictional island of Isla Nublar, located off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. A successful theme park of cloned dinosaurs, dubbed Jurassic World, has operated on the island for years, bringing John Hammond's dream to fruition. The park plunges into chaos when a transgenic dinosaur escapes from its enclosure and goes on a rampage, while a conspiracy orchestrated by the park's staff creates more dangers.
Universal Pictures intended to begin production of a fourth Jurassic Park film in 2004 for a mid-2005 release but was in development hell while the script underwent several revisions. Following a suggestion from executive producer Steven Spielberg, writers Jaffa and Silver explored the idea of a functional dinosaur park. Once Trevorrow was hired as director in 2013, he followed the same idea while developing a new script with Connolly. Filming lasted from April to August 2014 in Louisiana and Hawaii. The dinosaurs were created by Lucasfilm's Industrial Light & Magic using CGI and by Legacy Effects using life-sized animatronics. Production was completed in May 2015.[4]
Jurassic World was released in the United States on June 12, 2015. It received positive reviews from critics and grossed $1.6 billion in box office revenue, reaching third among the highest-grossing films of all time. It was also the second-highest-grossing film of 2015 and the highest-grossing in the franchise. Two sequels have been released: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).
Wtf is going on?
@@BOB-pw4vi what the HECK
Can't wait for the next raptor, we definitely need more of them.
just something different for once please
personally, i feel like that this raptor, compared to the other members of the line(that look pretty sweet), just feels unnecessary. i do like the paintjob tho. it looks a bit more movie-accurate than the AC version
best wishes spino!
Mattel, please, drop the megafeet!
"It's for stability!"
Yeah... no... Mattel is the only producer of dinotoys on the market to do so and, guess what? The other toys can stand as well!
They're the only toy company making retail dino toys for children. The feet are larger so they balance easier for children... You know, who the line is actually made for
@@fillerbunnyninjashark271 Like Schleich, like Chap Mei, like Papo or any KO or generic company you find on the toy isle. Amd still, Mattel s the only one who does giant feet.
@@brotquel1592 you just named a bunch of European companies and a Chinese company. None of those are sold at mass retail here. Europe doesn't have the same safety standards as the toys here do. Mattel is a American children's toy company that has to confirm to American toy standards. These toys are sold for 3+ year olds.
@@brotquel1592 also, knockoffs have zero safety standards... They're bootlegs and are illegal.
@@fillerbunnyninjashark271 Safe from Chap Mey, both Schleich and Papo have to submit to american safety standards and are released in the US at basically every mall but, fine, you want AMERICAN COMPANIES that do or did amazing dino toys without the use of stupid giant feet?
-Kenner
-Disney
-Tyco
-Hasbro
Kenner did the full run of JP and JP 2, Disney had their own dinosaur movie, Tyco had the incredible Dino Riders, Hasbro had JP 3 and the first JW, not to mention... have you seen the T-Rex Megatron they did for Transformers Kingdom? Looks and poses better than the Mattel one without the use of gian feet PLUS it turns into a giant robot, if you want a more direct comparison, the mold was also used for the Transformers Collaborative JP for Tyrannocon, which is in JP colors, just to humiliate MAttel further, you know...
“The feet are literally the size of Kansas!” broke me
I think the bigger dinosaurs in the hammond collection are really good, but the small ones like the raptor and the gallimimus look a bit janky since they have to be in scale
I feel they really should work on the ankles and feet and make them separate pieces for all of these smaller animals
Amazing and funny review!! And that figure is absolutely amazing. I love to watch your reviews!!♥️♥️♥️
Awesome review! I couldn't agree more about the feet, when I got mine I was like, thats the first thing I'm going to fix!!! That was so funny at the end of the video when it was black for a few seconds and then the raptor appeared lol!
Haha thank you! Yeah the feet are a big disappointment for sure- but it made for a great custom project by you!
Parasaurolophus
I love getting the amber collection (which was VERY expensive to get certain figures) just for them to not continue the series and do a new series on a different scale. Yaaaay.
The jp3 male photo gets me 😂😂😂 it’s funny
For the size and low price, I actually really like it . It’s a fun toy and the silly feet help it in a lot of poses. I stuck a boss fight skeleton on his back to make it look like he’s goin for a ride and it helps that the weight is towards the back. I personally think that the pluses outweigh the minuses.
Amber collection: wait it's all raptor? Always has been!
"that's not scary more like a 6 inch turkey"
Ugh, the Amber collection had such great crossover appeal to me. They go great with my Marvel legends and GI Joe Classified collection!
Tbh the only thing I really wanted from amber collection were the dinos sad to see it go away but I hope Mattel does something similar to Hasbro with haslab with the backers and have a 1/12th scale T-Rex would be amazing, especially if it would be a premium product which means extreme detail.
Man, I wish the head was designed after the JP raptors instead of the JW raptors, then I actually would’ve bought this figure!
This looks like if vintage dinosaur designs had a baby with the JP raptor and that baby had unusually large feet and hands and was also starved
Yeah I have mixed thoughts on this one. The extra articulation is nice, maybe the paint apps too, but the fact the mainline raptors have the more accurate JP head sculpt, and smaller feet when compared to this one is just strange, especially if this line is oriented more towards collectors to begin with. I feel I'll get to it eventually, but certainly not a priority compared to the other figures from them (like the HC T. rex which I pre-ordered and recently paid for at BBTS, or the Therizinosaurus I'm still behind on).
Honestly I think this line over all has been handled better then the AC definitely was. There are some issues like the big feet on the raptor and T. rex, swollen head of the Parasaurolophus, limited jaw articulation on the T. rex, and a Triceratops with no jaw articulation, and a "JP" Gallimimus based on the JW viral website design, but overall they've at least had better species diversity right from the start. Hopefully they see and take note of the criticisms and improve from here. The main crux for me is that it is all in scale with the mainline as well, and it gives me hope we'll get a more film accurate buck from TLW (compared to the 2019 Legacy Extreme Chomping repaint), or Spinosaurus. They did a great job with the SWS likeness for both the Triceratops and T. rex at least, and no doubt the Dilophosaurus coming later (since the Amber one was close, but just didn't quite get the pattern on the back right, but that's hardly a big deal). I also hope they'll do the JPIII raptors (especially the male which still is missing in the mainline scale). I also agree the packing is very nice, but I do wish the viewing window on the larger dinosaurs was slightly bigger, although that may have been done to cut down on plastic material too.
They're still for children because they're showing up on retail shelves in children's toy sections. Collectors are just in mind.
@@fillerbunnyninjashark271 bro what. They are for older collectors as well. The age rating is literally different on the HCs.
@@fillerbunnyninjashark271and they put it in the “children section” cuz why wouldn’t they put Jurassic items w other Jurassic items. Not every single space in the store is free for Jurassic items. And Mattel has confirmed that these, mainline or HC, are for collectors of all ages.
Oh man, I saw the Hammond collection Velociraptor three times and it’s the only figure stocks in store alongside Malcom. I wanna get the Ceratosaurus from the Hammond collection QUIIIICCCCCCK
Ayyyyyy!

@@TheSpinoDude aahh hell yeah!
The amber collection raptor looks amazing personally
I like the idea of the Amber Collection for collecting SOME small dinosaurs, but mostly the human characters. unfortunately, it seems people didn't like it. so great. I wonder if they will discontinue the Amber line.
Also, I got one of these Raptors... I was kinda disappointed with the neck articulation, didn't seem as good as the Amber one. So I changed it a little. And those feet are next. if you had Twitter, or if I had Instagram, I'd send you pics of the wonderful smol feet.
The Amber Collection Baby T. rex was the exact same size as this raptor, in fact just an inch and a half shorter in length, but it *had* wrist joints *and* ankle joints, so I really don’t see why they couldn’t have added them here? Sure would probably up the price, but for something that’s supposed to be “premium” of course that’s bound to happen…
Cant wait to see what marco dose whit this raptor
Just...thank you for making me laugh. 💕 Excellent review & comparison to the Amber collection raptor.
Why can't Mattell figure out how to make dinosaur figures with proportionate feet, yet a UA-camr who's channel rhymes with Narco Nakes can?
For 13 Dollars (Thats how much it was for me) its pretty good and not lack luster like the even more expensive Jurassic World MAIN Mattel line where the small ones cost 16 dollars.
You can get a mainline Velociraptor for like 8 dollars that's a larger and more proportionate figure that has a better sculpt.
Moving Backwards 😆
This is truly ShrinkFlation ya! 😆
Think reason why hammond collection velociraptor exists because so collage students can have a funko time thing
great review, I think the Hammond Collection T-Rex has the same clown feet problem.. it just throws the whole figure off for me too
My biggest gripe with this figure is the mouth. I just can't look at it when it's opened.
Thank you. Now I have "RAPTOR RAPTOR RAPTOR RAPTOR RAPTOR RAPTOR" stuck in my mind lol.
Your videos are so good
Missed opportunity: Should've used the Vine boom sound effect for those F E E T
Yea... I like the amber collection A LOT better. I bought the jurassic park "tiger" raptor variant, and I was NOT disappointed AT ALL when I bought it.
The raptors together make me think of blue and beta but JP edition
I think a bit bigger feet its doesnt bother me a lot i more like hammond line because its have same scale with main figure line and also i think amber line is too *big* and all of it usualy *raptor* not like hammond collection who have rexy
I love your videos 😃
So happy you enjoy Ben, thanks for watching!
The only thing that really makes the teath worse on mine is that the bottom left teath are not painted
Yeah, my Hammond collection baryons is backheav6 as well. Probably the tail joint.
Nice
How does a $7 toy from the same company, has a better sculpt than a $14 one. It doesn't make any sense for a "premium adult line"
I don't think the Amber Collection raptors were 1/6th scale, because my BotM velociraptor is 1/6th scale and is about half the size of my Amber Collection raptor.
that was my bad- I meant to say 6 inch scale, not 1/6.
@@TheSpinoDude it's ok, mistakes are universal.
Gud review
Will only get a hammond collection raptor if there's one if blue, with my amber collection I can have it be both blue and beta
Amber collection: how big do you want the feet?
Mattel: yes
Which one would you prefer hammond or amber raptor? And also I ordered the hammond collection one for 15 bucks!!!
I wanna see a spinosaurus and Jurassic park 3 male and female raptor And I I wouldn’t mind if they make a biosyn and Mesraunie I think that’s his name collection would be nice
we on 13k subs now! wha happun? its great!
I do love it though... ;O WOOOOW
rip ian
Even tho the Hammond collections isn’t prefect, they were made to scale with the HC human figures. And yeah I can’t argue with the clown feet but over all the Hammond Collection is a decent replacement for the AC line.
the amber collection velociraptor are to big to fit in my dinosaur corner so i got the hammond collection ones
I think it looks like a juvenile raptor
(I'm posting this comment before watching the video) I've heard bad things about the figure, sculpt, articulation and paint job wise, but I'm just excited to get one so I can repaint it!
I like it but really wish they’d quit with the huge feet. And I do love my AC raptors but agree the bigger dinos would’ve been massive.
But they're literally toys for children. They're designed for easy balance and play for children
I think it’s to make it easier for the Dino’s to stand
@@fillerbunnyninjashark271 then why did the ACs have smaller feet? Even the mainline that is made for “children” also has way smaller feet
I have Hammond collection rex
Hey! Will you review Shadiversity's recent video about Knights vs Dinosaurs? I bet it would make for a great content.
I actually like this figure but yeah it's pretty bad, also this review was very nice Also WB you legend
Also hope you have a great day
I went to target and I SAW SOMETHING HORRIBLE…There was a Para in a Baryonyx box!!!
🤢
🤣
Me finding I got broke of of amber and now they aren’t to scale anymore sadness Hammond go back to old scale!
Yeah..... the Hammond Collection Raptors are tiny
Review the Hammond Collection Giganotosaurus (when it comes out)
I prefer the amber collection raptor because the jaw is better
Not a fan, the feet, obviously, but it also looks so weirdly.. skinny. Like a plucked chicken. Which it is in a sense, but their movie counterparts were a lot more beefy. I get the same impression looking at the Roberta figure: skinny legs, torso too small, giant clown feet. Just not feeling it, unfortunately. Thanks for the review!
For me using Mattel raptors forever a Hammond collection ANYTHING is AMAZING
I’m not quite sure it’s hard to tell but I don’t think spindude like the feet.🦶
I'm just a little upset they didn't add the sickle claw movements.
Well if you want something in scale with the other dinos
…I was able to put it into the “Philosoraptor” pose at least, and that helps a litttle?😅
(…I don’t like it’s huge feet either…)
The huge feet are supposed to allow it to remain standing, a thing Hasbro failed to do.
Are you excited for Hammond collection concavenator? The leak looks pretty cool looking
I saw the supposed leak- not excited for it if I'm being honest. Looks kind of disproportionate, and doesn't seem to match the statue from the Lockwood Estate too well. Plus I find it odd that they're making a background statue into a figure before the line is fleshed out with more actual dinosaurs from the series.
@@TheSpinoDude that is kinda odd now that I think of it.. Mattel’s board of directors: “alright we need another Hammond collection figure idea!” That one guy: “what if we make something based off of a stature that was in the movie for literally 2 seconds?” “YOUR A GENIUS”
Has anyone else’s amber collection raptors tails started to crack?
Mattel doesn't or isn't known for great details in their figure toys. The box design is real cool, though
Your opinion is correct
It’s evolution just evolution-Korn
How much longer will it be until the tyrannosaur series will be finished for BOTM? I want to get my hands on yutyrannus and albertosaurus
first wave coming out around September!
@@TheSpinoDude Nice! When is wave 2 and 3 expected for release?
@@evanfalvey5765 wave 2 should be coming out in March of next year and wave 3 should be September 2023 (also the first wave has been split into 2 and the t rexes will release in October while the rest of wave 1 will release in December)
HAMMOND COLLECTION barryonix, parra, trex, sick tric, raptor (amber COLLECTION raptor raptor raptor raptor raptor raptor raptor raptor raptor raptor)
I mean it's kinda obvious, it's a smaller figure so it has more difficulties for details and model, for me it's a beautiful figure
Evolving backwards is... Devolving, I guess
I mean it’s hard to put that much detail on such a smaller scale
I think of the Hammond collection raptor as a 8 inch basic with Alot more details and articulation
I never want to see Raptors again in any capacity. Not even in the movies EVER again. If you haven't jizzed yourself over Velociraptors yet, it is never gonna happen. You've got blue balls for life.
yeah idk I just have a problem with cellophane wrapped, highly innacurate dinos. appears to be high quality, though! would gladly put it on display but I would not refer to it as a velociraptor.
I'm more interested in either the Barionyx and Ceratosaurus, just to go with my SH Monsterarts Kong
I'd say cerato seems like a skull island creature the most
Is the tail detachable after being put in?
No it’s not
Ngl, if the amber collection is way expensive, get this one tbh
Trust me guys, we will get more positive reviews from him! Like the HC Baryonyx and Tyrannosaurus rex!
i think the feet are that big so it can stand. i would literally rather have it use its tail to stand like a kangaroo😅
How come trex gets wrist but raptors dont
They discovered a new dinosaur. Could you do a video on it? Meraxes gigas
I know your probably not gunna see this but I’m letting all the paleo channels know.
I've heard of it! I typically don't do announcements on new discoveries, but thanks for the heads up!
