I have the 1.6 Turbo Astra J and it does 235km/h (dials) on the autobahn in Germany. Your 220 is certainly not bad. The 1.6 Turbo doesn't have to rev that far in each gear to go very fast. Last year I could keep up well with a BMW 7 series with sprints on the left lane each time 150 to 220.
Thank for the ride!!! Really enjoyed it. The 1.4T is what I have in my American Cruze. I don't think I'd ever drive mine that fast but it's nice to know that maybe it can if I really tried. Lol

Na und wo genau ist da das Problem? Dazu ist das Drehzahlband da, so beschleunigt man eben wenn es flott gehen soll.

Für einen 1.4er garnicht schlecht. Klar, 222 als es bergab ging, aber dennoch um die 200 als die Strecke wieder gerade wurde.
Mein Astra J mit 194 PS schafft jetzt auch nicht viel bessere Werte. Berg runter war das schnellste 147 kmh und bei gerader Strecke ca 225/230. Beides sind aber nur Tachowerte. Da kann man sicher einiges abziehen. Echt schade, dass der GTC im Allgemeinen so schwer ist. Er hätte eigentlich echt viel Potential und die Motoren sind wirklich nicht verkehrt.

FYI There is something weird with the video in terms of quality. Dials are unreadable until 2:39 at least for me. Did you check the speed rating of your tyres before you decided to go that fast?

I have Corsa 1.4T Sport OPC line 110kW and 220NM, so does it mean would outperform this. The max top speed I’ve seen without realizing was 215km/h but then I wasn’t maxing it but just speeding

Gibt nur die 120 PS Variante. Gibt sich nicht viel. Du kannst die Gänge bisschen höher ausdrehen. Und die Vmax ist bei 192 anstatt 202.

Ese coche anda muy bien aunque da la sensación que llevarlo hasta las 6000 no tiene sentido. Cambiar entre 5000 y 5500 parece más acertado, por lo demás tiene una acústica muy agradable y mueve bien al Astra, que no es precisamente un coche ligero. Gracias por cambiar de marcha bien y con suavidad, no como otros "probadores" de coches..:)

Hi und danke dir :). ich hab 17er Felgen drauf. Und naja wirklich sportlich ist der sound hinten raus nicht wirklich. Ich würd das eher mit einem schnurrenden Kätzchen vergleichen :p
Bei niedrigen Drehzahlen blubbert der Auspuff etwas :) Whatever. Mach weiter so!

Der 1.4 Turbo hat eine sehr lange Übersetzung im 5. und 6. Gang. Wenn man nur schnell auf hohe Geschwindigkeiten kommen will, dann muss man im 4. Gang so hoch es geht fahren. Macht sicher langfristig den Motor und co. kaputt, aber naja. Muss jeder selber wissen.
Waren beim Vectra B mit der 2 Litermaschine 8V auch möglich, leider hatte dieser Motor keinen Turbo ! Dieser Motor war einfach nur genial ! Kein Öl verbrauch wie im Asta G Coupe 2,2l 16V (1L Öl auf 1000KM). Im Vectra B 0,5 auf 10000KM bei 246.000 auf der "Uhr"

2. Schau dir dazu am besten meinen Car Vlog zu dem Wagen an. Macht mehr Sinn als wenn ich jetzt 2-3 Sätze hier schreibe, da ich da ausführlich auf vieles eingehe.
3. Ergänzung: Solltest du finanziellen Spielraum haben würde ich dir empfehlen mal den neuen Astra K anschauen. Die Weiterentwicklung ist schon ordentlich.

ICH Habe meinen geliebt sparsam fahren mit etwas über 5 liter super aber wenn er gut eingefahren war fuhr meiner im 5 Gang am schnellsten laut Tacho waren es 235 warscheinlich echte 220 ca hatte aber auch das gefühl das er eher nach ober gestreut hat mit der Leistung schönes Auto und Video

I read on a few English forums that the opel astra turbo engine breaks down because of knocking, is that true ?
Mine is 11 years and 178000 km and in perfect condition. I change oil per 13tkm and use 95 octane with additives. Some people had this problem, mostly in first couple of years after J appeared on market 2009-2011, many in Russia, but could be bad gasoline, defected piston rings or Opel changed his mind to not use Dexos2 oil (developed for diesel cars) in petrol cars. This is for J. Then is similar problem in K, but that is different engine. I would say engines which are still alive will be good, but change proper oil in proper intervals and use good petrol, not necessarily 98 or 100, just 95 with good additives.

The 1.6 turbo is 221kph officially from Vauxhall. So is this really a 1.6 turbo in this video ??
Speedo shows never the real speed... Every car is a little bit faster than the "official figures" even downhill like in this video! But its still a good performance for the 1.4 engine

Hab den Opel Astra Sportstourer J Bjh 2013. Hätte mal eine Frage bezüglich des Boardcomputers? Hab gesehen das du in dem das Kombinierte Menü hast, war das Serienmäßig drin? Also sprich das ich alles sehe, Verbrauch, Km/h, Km/h Reichweite usw? Bzw. welches Bjh war das Auto? Wollte nämlich beim Händler mal nachfragen ob ich dieses Menü Freigeschaltet bekommen kann!

Das 3 zeilige Display gab es ab dem Facelift MJ 2013. Also ab 09/2012
Man kann mittels Laptop, Adapter und passender Software (kann man mieten oder machen lassen) mehr Menüs im Astra Boardcomputer freischalten. Hab das bei meinem gemacht und kann es allen empfehlen. Hat mich knapp 35€ gekostet...
Kommt auf die Hardwareversion des Kombiinstruments an bei mir ging es nicht

(the ligth on the console i think it means its on eco mode ). i tuned my litel 1,4 astra with just a ligt new programm . 164 ps on the tire and 177 in the engine. it went until 236 km/h. had to use break becouse of a truck . to bad i dint find out its limit .

1. Durch wen hast du das machen lassen?
2. Wie lange hast du die Software drauf und gab es irgendwelche Probleme bisher?
3. Ist der Unterschied im Durchzug merkbar spürbar?
ÜBERHOLSPUR Habe es von einer Tuning Firma in Wien optimieren lassen. Die Software heisst Alientech Kess. Ich habe das ganze jetzt seit ca. 6 Monaten optimiert und merke es richtig im 2.und 3. Gang. Geht viel flüssiger und schneller nach oben.
Wie viel km hast jetzt drauf? Und wie ist das Getriebe?
Ich hab den vor ein paar Monaten mit 70.000km verkauft. Getriebe war vollkommen in Ordnung

I have a Astra J Sport, but i think this version's official top speed is 202 km/h.
That's because the speedometers of these cars are off quite a bit. According to GPS that would really be only around 200-202.

Habe auch den Astra J als Coupe mit dem 1.4 (kein Turbo, 100ps), und habe es nie Herausfinden können, wie man den Motor Start wieder per Kupplungspedal hervorrufen kann,so wie du es am Anfang in diesem video gemacht hast. habe es mal gehört es soll klappen es scheint auch zu funktionieren und würde dich gerne bezüglich dessen um eine kleine Anleitung bitten :)

can har Hast du eine Eco Taste rechts neben dem lenkrad? Wenn nein, dann hast du die Option nicht. Und solltest du die Taste haben, dann am besten Werkstatt aufsuchen da es dann anscheinend kaputt ist.

fuer 440 - 450 km was fuer sprit kosten entstehen wenn ich fragrn darf? ich fahr regelmaessig Verona Muenchen und mit meinem Astra 1.7cdti 110ps verbrauch liegt inmer etwa bei 27 28 liter d.h. etwa 30 euros wennman in deutschland oder oesterreich tankt und nicht bei uns bloeden italiener... ist viel besser beim LPG ?

Alessandro Ogheri Hi Alessandro, im Normalfall fahre ich den Wagen zwischen 6,5 -7 Liter /100 km. ich habe es aber auch schon geschafft bei sehr vorsichtiher Fahrweise und Autobahn max. 110 km/h auf 5,4 Liter zu kommen. Und ja da hast du recht, in Italien kostet Benzin fast soviel wie Gold😭 wie vieles andere leider auch.

Hab auch eine Astra 1.4T mit 120ps, lohnt sich den auto besser zu machen z.b großer turbo ein zu bauen oder sonst was. Oder lieber anderes auto zu kaufen?
I've got a Corsa E 1.4T (same engine), a proper tune is well worth it. Got my acceleration down from 9.8s to 7.2s 0-100kmh, the car isn't dead anymore above 4000 rpm. It's about 170 hp.

I have topped at 229km/hr when my Astra J 1.4 Turbo Sport with Flexride was new. Now it tops at about 215km/hr but I don’t wanna overpush it.
It even get slower, because it has a direct fuel Injection, there is something like a oil catch can you can buy, so it will run even longer.
The reason it will run slower over time is they make direct fuel injection on purpose so its cheaper and more "efficient" so you buy a new car over time.
What happens is that the oil gets into the intake valves and wrecks them and make them slower, so you will by 100% lose power over time.

I have the Astra J 2011 and I cant see that panel on my dash, only digital spedometer so it seems like only newer J models have the mode with both fuel consumption and speed :(
You need to use the left stick (indicator) to go through the menus, the end of it twists too and that’s how you switch through your options to get to fuel consumption :))

Ja klar, mit Rückenwind und im freien Fall die Eiger Nordwand runter.
Blues Man 248kmh waren es bei mir jedoch beim 140PS model ohne Turbo nach papiere 210, DB war er bei etwa 71
Jetzt im Insignia ST 2.8 V6 Turbo (Richtiger OPC) 305 KM/H nach papiere 270 km/h, DB liegt er bei 108 und nach papiere 74
Die 1.8 Maschinen sind immer noch eine mit den besten was opel so zu bieten hatte ..Gruss aus meckpomm

So ? U drive right side , overtake slow guy and go back right side again . Thats the way u should drive . What i see is that he go a lot of space on other sides and he is still going left or middle .
Example , look at 1: 09 a lot of time to drive left side . 1:26 again , he overtook those guys and still drive middle . 1:50 WTF is he doing ? Middle is empty and he is going left without signpost . U can see at this movie a lot of ppl doing it right but not him .
