I once asked my mother what it was like in the olden days , she started to explain it was very similar today . As a kid I was confused and tried to clarify my question , specifically asking what it was like when the world was black and white when she was a kid and something almost the lines of was it it exciting when the world turned to colour . I think I was about 5 or 6 so this would have been late 80’s
@@unnamedchannel1237 I know what you mean re: the "black and white world". When the technology arrived that meant we could effectively colorize black and white footage, it had a very strange effect and brought the distant past much closer to present reality. Colorized World war 1 + 2 footage was particularly affective.

The lady who started the Matterhorn was so graceful. What an institution.
Gawrsh. The memories come flooding back. So cool to see the bucket fountain!
Good God, that brings it all back.
Those fish tank thingys with the heavily diluted 'Orange drink' swirling about inside must have come later.

Demographic replacement has real effects.
Culture is downstream of genetics. Different phenotypes create different cultures.

No cell phones , no eftpos, no internet, oh dear what will I do?
The colour looks awful, like it was from the 1940's not 1980's. I know it was a long time ago, but the video quality makes it look ancient!
