Derek your reactions are truly great. I enjoy your input. I love the Bee Gee's their music is great. Another to react to which I think you would like is ..Love you inside out. Thanks for your reactions.
Hehehe I was 5 too when the "Saturday Nigt Fever" film and album came, too young to see the movie, but the album wouldn't stop at home, killer track!!!!!
40 years ago, 3 year old me listening to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack LP on our wooden stereo console with oversized headphones. This was one of my favourites. 🌟
wow I was five when this came out. I remember it being played on the radio barely. that goes to show you how much this song impacted the world. Love the feel of it and it is good to work out to.
Ematt Dat - Hell Sonny, I was @25 when this came out. Thanks for making me feel old! I was born the same day and year as the Gibb twins, Robin and Maurice.
It's reminds me when I was 20 years and this soundtrack and the following "Grease" (wit's John Travolta & Olivia Newton John) was the Top of the music but I want to request a song before, that made the change and transition in Bee Gees style: "Mr Natural" (1974)
Nothing better than starting off the week with some Bee Gees! You should check out Love You Inside Out and Living Together (both from the Spirits Having Flown album) ... two of my personal favorites from that era. P.S. Since you mentioned it, you should really check out New York Mining Disaster. Great visual storytelling with the lyrics, and of course their signature 3 part harmonies. So good!
I was a sophomore in high school when this came out. Bee Gees are the soundtrack of my life - since my first 45 I bought in 1969 with my allowance. Thanks for sharing Dereck!
Me too! The first album I ever purchased with my allowance was the soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever. I was 7. But I became a fan of their early music via my parents record (and 8 track tape) collection. So happy they had great taste in music.
Dereck, I just noticed that Jim Steinman (the guy who wrote the songs for Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell album) died a few days ago. Meat always said that Jim’s “masterpiece” was For Crying Out Loud. Please react to it. Thanks, and R.I.P. Jim.
I really appreciate your expertise. You are very attentive and can communicate very well. Too bad you lie through your teeth. There is no need to make it sound like it is your first time listening to a song. It would be enough for you to do your own review.
The boys don't write or sing bad songs. Masters of singing all their own writing. Masters of writing hits for other artists. Masters of their craft.
Kings of smooth-- I never get tired of listening to their music. And I love your reactions!
bee gees love you inside out
Oh, I miss those days when people just wanted to dance.
My fave Bee Gees song :)
#1 on the charts for 78 weeks
Fantastic music from the 70s
They always called it Night Fever, Robert Stigwood added Saturday to the movie title.
#3 of six #1's in a row in the second half of 1970's making the Bee Gees the Kings of Disco.
This is my favorite Bee Gees
