They sing beautiful songs but when Robin come in on his part it brings it to a whole other level.
Robin's voice turns a brilliant song into a masterpiece
There will never be anyone to equal the Beegees
You can say THAT again 😊
Their harmonies are unbelievable. Robin doesn’t miss a beat with Mo goofing around. This a perfect moment in musical time.
Jacqui816 same in 1974 Melbourne concert on 'I can't see nobody' second verse. Something was happening on stage Robin saw it and even smiled but kept singing perfectly...
@@sitpahtb4731 word is that a girl got up on the stage and security was getting her off and that's what he was watching.
I love MO’s goofing around! He was a darling!!❤❤❤
God given gift right there...in musical performance, voice and instruments, in literature, in musical composition, in heart...in personal redemption. God is good
The deep version of two much heaven is fantastic.
Their 3 voices around Barry's guitar was all that was needed. Just amazing!!!
I think that is probably what they enjoyed doing the most!
I see that same thing.... like they were kids again:) I also think that their perfect pitch ears must have loved and enjoyed hearing the magic even more than the audience, if that makes sense. Someone said of another professional with perfect pitch that if one string on one guitar wasn’t perfectly tuned, he could hear it. Or if anyone was even slightly off, it was like fingernails on a chalkboard - so the expectation of those he hired was very high. I would think the opposite would also be true... that the same ears would hear every little nuisance and appreciate the magic of their harmony even more than those with average ears. I also think they were each other’s biggest fans in the most sincere way.
@@dp3396 I'm giggling a bit because spell check in it's wisdom turned "nuance" into "nuisance" on you which changes the meaning considerably.
@@dp3396 George Martin remembered that once in the studio they became so fussy about their own performance to the point of repeating a song George himself considered perfect already...
This. Is. Pure. Talent. Love. The. Beegees. God. Bless. Beegees. Rip. Robin. And. Morris. Gibb. And. Andy. Gibb. Too
I am so glad you reacted to the medley in this concert. It in my opinion was the best concert they ever did. A big, big audience. Plus Maurice showing his funny self. Loved it.
Yes, I feel the same way. Their best live performance.
@@Scuderia_Fan - This concert was great. All the brothers were featured and a great variety from old to new songs.
I agree, this concert is just magic. Their voices are all so strong and the set list was great.
Indeed. This was awesome although I was puzzled by their choice of opening numbers. Ordinary Lives I guess was something of a hit in Europe and maybe Australia but not at all in the US where I am. Giving up the Ghost is the one and only Bee Gees song I downright hate. Of course they did not consult me, the bastards. When I watch the video which I do often I have to fast forward through it to get to all the awesomeness that follows. Robin's I Started a Joke here is his best ever IMO and he never failed to sing this song beautifully. (I except one occasion at a music festival in New Zealand back when he left the Bee Gees but he gets a pass because it was his next performance after he was physically tackled on stage the night before. He had a tomato thrown at him too if you can imagine anyone stupid enough, or more likely drunk enough, to throw a 🍅 at Robin Gibb.)
The 1979 live concert was pretty great also, even though there isn't much footage of it now, but the parts they have are identical to the original songs, and better in certain cases.
And this is a live performance. The lucky people who got to see them certainly got their money's worth. No tricks, not enhancements, no lip-syncing. Just 3 brothers who practiced to perfection.
@@billybob042665 Dang, you made me jealous.
And no auto tune. Just talent. ❤️
I managed to watch them live at the Saratoga Performing Arts Centre, NY in 1989.
Such a treat to hear Maurice and Barry together on Islands in the Stream - then Robin comes in - absolutely fabulous!
This always makes me tear up. They’re totally awesome. 1 microphone and 3 brothers equals pure magic. They’re just beautiful singers. Simply put. ❤️😘❤️
When they were kids, Robin was the comic and Mo played it straight. Whichever it was, how the other two could keep it together and keep singing was talent in itself!
I don't think any other a band of brothers, could ever compete with these ethereal voices. Maestros 👬👬❤️
Absolutely love this medley of songs. They were at their best around one mike. The blending of their voices is unlike anything. Family members have that talent. It is a wonderful thing to behold.
This was absolutely their best year their best concert the best time of their life where they sounded so good and they were just all in such good shape it's such a shame that they couldn't have just put themselves on hold right there and stay that good for the next 50 years to give everyone a chance to enjoy coming to see him and just enjoy them singing all over again! ❤
Any time Robin comes in...it hits a whole new level!❤
This one of their best concerts even though they DIDN'T perform many of their biggest hits, but sound wise, their voices were at their peak. I don't know any other group that could perform like that live and sound THAT good. None.
Isn’t it great! They’re beautiful! Love it. The harmony is awesome
Their regular voices on Too Much Heaven are just great!
This is a great concert.
When I watch the three together, having so much fun, it can easily bring a tear to my eye.
As I have said before they were (are) the best of the best. They had it all. 👌👌👌
Soooooooooo luv these lads💦💯❣!!!truly 💛lCONS..💛.
I love this. It's the same concert Robin got standing ovation for " I started a joke" Amazing.
Maurice, bless him was going through his alcoholic days which you can probably tell by his bloated face. Never lost his sense of humour though and the brothers just let him get on with the shenanigans whilst trying to keep straight faces.
They really were something special.
Great choice Chad. 👍
che dire erano i migliori cantanti e bellissime canzoni di tutti i tempi
Chad - HEEYYYY! So glad you're back! I was having withdrawal! Needed me a Chad fix.
Notice Rob and Mo always refer to each other as "my twin brother"? Just noticed @10:57 when they sing "We rely on each other", Robin and Barry look at each other and smile!
Mo's high harmony in "Islands in the Stream" illustrates his expertise. He was as good as Dolly Parton, LOL! (Had a little less hair than Dolly but then who doesn't?)
There is NO WAY to duplicate familial harmonies. They can't be created in a studio or in a lab. They just ARE.
So casual, thumbs in belt loops and hands in pockets and creating magic as easy as falling off a log.
Chad - Just a thought. You HAVE come a long way on this journey. I can almost guarantee that if you watched your own reaction to "Rings around the Moon" again, you would at least shed a tear or two. These brothers are family to all of us and I think now to you as well.
This is just so perfect every time I hear it. I don't have words to describe the feeling. Mo was GREAT!!
Well said, Susie Q, well said!
The Bee Gees are really genius love and appreciate them as much as Chad
I have this concert on DVD and just watched it again two nights ago!! I wouldn't worry too much if you do repeats. The Bee Gees were the BEST and the best never gets old. Thank you for covering them.
Exquisite….I tear up now watching the brothers together…JESUS they were Phenomenal..
Yes they truly were unlike thr music of today that you almost can't listen to
I know!!!💕😢 Miss them!
I won’t let my dentist play anyone else,while I’m in that chair.Seriously.💕🇬🇧
Kings of Harmony!!
Magical, their voices just Heavenly
Run to Me. Such a classic
Barry turns 75 tomorrow. September 1st. Along with his 51st Wedding Anniversary with Linda .....Happy Birthday 🎂🎉 Barry. You remarkable genious. Can't believe he was only 23 when he (wrote?). First of May. Impressive .....not just the lyrics. But the beautiful melody......did he make up the melody , too?!!!?
Incredible Harmonies!!! So amazing how much richer their voices are now than they were in the 60’s. Mo is so funny as usual & the camera stunt almost made Robin lose it cause I heard it in his voice, Mo was always such a cut up. There will never be another Group/Band this talented, who can write/ compose songs like they have or be able to harmonize the way they do. They are one of a kind, incredible!♥️♥️♥️👍🏻
Masters of the craft...indeed! They sound exactly the same...live or recorded. Islands in the Stream!!❤
Robin has a gorgeous voice. Oh my I love these guys.
Man, that version of Too Much Heaven was awesome. Great reaction. These guys are definitely magic
Love this....I can watch this concert over and over!!! This is one of my favorite parts. I treasure seeing the three of them harmonizing around one mic. It doesn't get much better than this.
Ok, Chad, here is the lineup of the medley Melbourne 1989 songs: 1. New York mining disaster 2. Holiday 3. Too much heaven 4. Heartbreaker 5. Islands in the stream 6. Run to me. All of them they would sing frequently at concerts from various taped concerts I've seen. I wish I could have seen them perform, but some things are just not meant to be. I just love the Brothers, how can you listen to the music and not love it, naturally incredible.
I got to see them in 1978 and I have to say it was one of the best days of my entire life. There’s no words to describe how wonderful they were.
And all of this beautiful harmony with just an acoustic guitar! "Run to Me" was released in 1972. Top 10 in the UK and top 20 in the US. Recorded as a duet by Barry & Robin.
Love those precious harmonies, I will love forever and a day
Well….this is my 3rd comment on this. I am home sick and watching your reactions and rewatching my favorites. The very last song in this medley is my favorite of their “old” ones. I was very young when I heard it for the first time when my sister played her live Bee Gees album. “Run To Me” holds a special place. When she married I would watch my toddler niece for her and sing that song. One particular day, my sister told me that she and her husband could not figure out what their little girl wanted during the night when she woke up. They thought she was saying “Dolly.” They were looking everywhere for her dolly. But then I realized she was saying “darling.” She was wanting them to sing to her the song by The Bee Gees that I always sang to her. In the song they say “Darling, you run to me.”
My niece is now married with two of her own children. She remembers me singing that song to her. It is our special song. Sorry about the rambling. I am enjoying the nostalgia.
I’ve listened to their Medleys countless times, including being blessed to have heard them in person twice. This one is so special because it really highlights their love for each other and hilarious interactions amongst themselves and their version of Too much Heaven minus the falsetto.
All this while singing their ASSES OFF on these songs. Just three talented voices with a guitar and a little back up from the band. VERY FEW other artists today could even come close to their harmonization LIVE!!!!!! This particular Medley was released on their “Tales from the Brothers Gibb” compilation Album. Loved it then……. LOVE IT NOW!!!!
Thanks Chad 🙏🏾
Right on Douglas!
You bet Douglas. Love them always.
In total agreement, Douglas!
@@susieq9801 Thanks🙏🏾
@@janicetrimmell6897 Thanks 🙏🏾
I love this medley! And i feel the same about their non falsetto voices, they are the best
Love this so much....Robin especially.... Mo so funny...Robin doesn’t miss a beat as usual. Credit too all of them ❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️
This 1989 Medley is so beautiful, and amusing to watch, too.
Mo was never at a loss for having some clean, good fun at the expense of his brothers, making the audience laugh right along with these three - and Sir Barry and Robin took it in stride!
Great start to the weekend Chad, THANK You!💕
Harmony chills!!
Thank you for doing this! It's one of the best performances in music history in my opinion.
Wowowow
Superb is the correct adjective. Apice of quality. The Bee Gees are unsurpassable. Heavenly. What a privilege to see this... Tks, Chad.
Dieses Video könnte ich immer und immer wieder anschauen ❤❤❤, einfach genial 😊
Love the way robin introduces his brothers
Amazing harmonies x
Tanks! IMiss BG‘s.
BG’s forever. ❤️
I think they sound the best live! Love to watch them sing live. So sad it will never happen again! The song is Holiday from 1967.
If you haven’t seen the full concert , please do so….it’s so great!! Lucky people who got to see this live!!
Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love the medleys! I'm a huge Mo fan so I really enjoy his playful side...But I also enjoy when his voice is more isolated like in "Islands In The Stream" don't get me wrong, I love the 3 part harmony, I just like when there is more emphasis on Maurices voice...
Barry said he could still feel their breath.
Just love them. It was such a loss to lose them as a group of funny, handsome, talented brothers. It's so awesome to have these videos to enjoy.
Chad the Melbourne concert it the BEST!
The way Maurice comes up and smacked Robin on his bottom.😅
The one who dislike this is Deaf...
Magic, magic and magic... Bee Gees 4ever!!!!!!!!!
Melbourne 1989, brilliant concert. 👌🏼
I agree------masters of the craft !!!!
Chad, the song is called "Holiday" form their Bee Gee's First album (1967). Thanks for posting!
Maurice was known for injecting his special humor into the medley portion of their concerts. My fave is the 1974 concert in Melbourne. Here is the video, the medley starts at 24:55
ua-cam.com/video/u-KWVSawYRw/v-deo.html
That one is full of Mo's humour, have watched it more than once, it's great!
I know. I love the 1974 concert. Don't know how Barry got through "Morning of My Life." They are all just so precious.
Barry's. Most beautiful natural voice. With the other two chiming in.....so so epic
Thanks for Posting kudos 🙏💯 RESPECT USMC RET BLESS YOU STAY WELL AND HEALTHY ENJOY LIFE FRIEND MSGT USMC 👍🇺🇸
Glad that you are back and healthy again. I have been patiently waiting for this reaction. It was clear to me that you would not be disappointed. I don't know how many times I've seen and heard this medley and every time the magic is back. They sing so effortlessly and enjoy their own performance. They were really masters of their craft. I think it's great that you already sing along to the songs, just like the "old" BeeGees fans do. Now you really are one of us :-) Thanks again for this highlight at the beginning of a new marathon.
I miss Robin and Maurice so much.
They’re so beautiful. Inside and out!!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE PERFORMANCE!!! ♥️🇮🇹
Beegees acoustic MEDLEY 2001
This was great. Looked and sounded like the brothers were having so much fun! Thanks, Chad. I’m happy to hear things are going well again and you’re back.
Thank you! What a way to start the weekend! I downloaded the entire concert on Amazon Prime! Entire concert is amazing.
I agree absolutely. I'm still old school and have the DVD.
Me, too, Janice! Nothing wrong with being "old school"!
@@janicetrimmell6897 having the DVD is cool too. I can watch anywhere with the digital version is all. Bee Gees on the Go! Lol
@@lauriebarnes2999 nothing wrong with it at all
Nobody accuses me of being super tech savvy. I am adjusting though. 🌞🌞🌞
Yay! I’ve been waiting patiently for you to react to this. I knew it wouldn’t disappoint.
CRAZY!!! Perfection, and totally live with no tricks.
La perfezione, ho detto tutto.
A medley is a varied mixture. Their songs in this medley are 1. NY Mining Disaster, 2. Holiday, 3. Too Much Heaven, 4. Heartbreaker (Dionne Warwick), 5. Islands In The Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton), and 6. Run To Me
Oh! Thank you! Thank you for doing this!!!! It's one of my favorite videos of the beegees!!!!! I get chills listening to them no matter how many times I hear it!!!!!
What a contagious smile you have Chad! I just love you and your channel. The Bee Gees music fills my heart with joy.
I think Maurice being photographer was from one of the funniest moments videos
Wish I would have seen them live!💜💜💜
Hi Chad. It's refreshing to see and hear your reactions. It shows that you have become a huge fan of the BeeGees. I never saw BeeGees live. They only gave one concert in Germany in 1989. Unfortunately, I was not able to get tickets. That still makes me sad today. But I have their songs, their concert recordings and so much more...🤗👏👍🙋♀️
Prior to Maurice’s antics, Robin was so serious. Not so when he saw what his twin was up to.
Always loved this video. Mo is hilarious! My favorite part is when it’s just Mo and Barry. Been away in my head and thoughts for a while. Catching up and realizing how much I need The Bee Gees, you and your channel in my life, not just on a playlist in my car. 💛
Love, love, love this video! Thanks for playing it for us. My boys are so fun and so good!! And they are indeed, master singers and writers!
I love Mo singing Islands in the stream 👏👍
I loved ir !!! They are wonderful, magic and beatiful
Beegees forever
Thank you Chad for this vídeos
You are a Master of what you do Chad and really enjoyed this and when Maurice and Barry started out with Islands in the Stream!!💖💖💖
Chad is a communicator par excellence. He makes eye contact with his audience, openly expresses his feelings in his facial expressions and relates to his community so well.
Chad, i love these guys. Especially mo,💞💞 also i love the way you love them.💕
That was so much fun to watch! Great to see them do Heartbreaker and Islands in the Stream,! They were great in this Medley!!
Beautiful!!!
Thanks so much, Chad! Robin is my guy.. forever.. and it's kind of funny how Maurice keeps being a goof... especially trying to crack up his twin bro -- although his voice is just as good... he was a bit of a "black sheep" -- love them live... lol

Hi, Chad! What's about a camera? I think while Maurice didn't have his part in the song he decided to film his tween brother. It was his playful nature and time for fun and joy. And you see the public loved it so much! I love it!😍😂
Chad, its great to have you back. And what a perfect start to our wonderful weekend! Pure magic just like you said. I'm a little late with my comment. Please forgive me. We're dealing with Hurricane Ida this weekend and please, everyone, keep the people of Louisiana in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏
Stay safe Laurie!!!!!!

Sending thoughts & prayers your way my friend. Hope you and yours stay safe and sound.
Holiday was the second song on medley from the “BeeGees 1st” album
Hi Chad! How about doing a bee gee reaction this week on September 1, Barry's 75th birthday and 51 st wedding anniversary. Thanks 😊
Hi Laurie.. Thanks for your feedback on the channel! I will probably put up something dedicated to Barry on the "Community Tab" of my channel homepage. Thanks for watching!
@@hereonthe3L hi Chad. Happy Monday!!! Maybe I'm wrong(wouldn't be the first time). A memorial is for the deceased?? How about " in honor of Barry"
@@laurieshuey5668 Lol, well yes I just meant something special. ;)
@@hereonthe3L yes, I kinda figured that. Lol. Just don't want anything happening to Barry. There have been a lot of celebrity deaths lately. Life goes on, we are all getting older. Sometimes it's hard to think of the celebrities that we grew up with and looked up to, as being old and mere mortals. 😔 Sigh. Have a great day Chad 👍😄
