Love your honest reviews man. I'm really glad I got into running this year. I. I seem to have stumbled upon another great community of extremely informative people bull which is where I found your videos and I'm glad I did
Alright! A ode to good ol' days where ground feel wasn't a bad thing.; And you control the shoe instead of the shoe controlling you. Also at a good ol' day price.
Finally I’m glad Edd you’re talking about this shoe. I’ve been looking at this shoe on the Nike App for quite a while now but haven’t seen anyone talking about it at all. It seems like Nike’s version of the Adizero line like SL20. I’m just waiting for the discount to pick up this shoe. The price is pretty reasonable, with discount even better. On another thought, imagine if they put an air zoom at the forefoot, zoomX on the heel, and react covering from heel to forefoot, all in this stack height, that will be an extremely interesting shoe without a carbon plate, a perfect competition for Adidas Takumi Sen. Typo
regarding running while injured shoulder: smaller strides = smaller impact, then adjust the cadence/speed, also forefoot landing/contact = less impact, wide shoes like peg38 ideal
Very interested to see how this one works out Edd. Pegasus 34-36 and Elite 10 were some of my favourite shoes. The Rival Fly 2 was disappointing but main issues being poor upper and lack of cushioning this one may be an improvement.
The peg 35-36 are some of my favorite shoes..I still use them every week as all around shoes..not enough cushioning for serious running and too hot as a summer shoe ,but they are still some of the most comfortable and stable/locked down uppers I've ever used..cushlon was the squishiest foam I ever ran in and if it is the same as the zoomfly flyknit I would like to run that shoe without the plate..can't quite figure out how Nike can produce some of the best fitting uppers and then put them on some of the worst midsoles on the market..maybe you will need to carry a camera on a stick so you won't miss 1 arm..LOL 😆
I actually really enjoy the implementation of React in the Infinity, epic reacts, and the Peg 37/38, it's a shame it's not as great in their other models. I think a lower stack is where it would shine the most. Haven't ran in cushlon though, so I can't speak on it.
Maybe putting dual layer of foam? Like React foam on the top and cushlon at the bottom. I would like the midsole to be React but i dont want the price to go up either...
Will be interested in how this does on the run. Especially how it compares to the Vomero as both are relatively low stack although the Vomero is very soft of course.
Not a Nike afictionado at all although I would like to try the Vaporfly some day. But they seem to have so many models. I can't see the forest for the trees...
The name “Air Zoom Rival Fly” seems like they threw 4 darts at a wall covered in Nike trademarks to come up with it. Dig the new hat, I’ve got the same one.
Good to hear that you might be able to run again soon. Had to chuckle when saw this video come up as a current thread on the Shoe Geeks FB suggests every other "geek" will never go near Nike but probably little to do with if the shoes are actually any good or not. That said they always seem to get the most interest. Go figure. Might be a topic for one of your future discussion videos. I think this one is essentially a budget shoe so much so that I don't think they offer a UK 13 - well not seen one yet.
Always interesting views. This isn’t a shoe that I’m that interested in…. Lots of buzzy kinds of words fling together and the sequel number :) I’m very take with my Adios 6s and Endorphin speeds…. Glad you’re healing well, you’ll be back out there before you know it!
The Zoom Elite remains my favourite shoe ever. Used them for everything from 5k’s to halves including a couple of cross country races. I’m super excited to have just found an almost new pair on Ebay so probably won’t grab the new Rival Fly. I do have a pair of the RF2 which are good but seem a bit firmer than the Zoom Elite and don’t seem to quite have the same magic.
Heel slippage and a short tongue that doesn't provide protection from laces is a instant disqualifier imho. For the price of these shoes it's inexcusable to have these issues.
Edd, I must admit I’m curious about this shoe but more importantly I truly want to know how you feel, and on a more humorous side what have you learned from being one wing down? Has it enabled you to learn to do more with your left hand.
Hey Thomas. I have definitely become more dexterous with my left hand and it’s made me realise how much I did in terms of fine motor skill with my right hand. Arm swing is very important.
You sure I'm not a buffoon, there's plenty that will tell you otherwise 😁 I currently love my endorphin 2's, but love to have something with a bit more stack for those daily miles.
Don’t think there has been an official US release from Nike for this one, which is odd. Seems much more in line with what I enjoy in a daily/uptempo trainer! I’m hoping the imminent release of lower-stack racing options will open the door for more midsole moderation. Liberate Nitro and Atreyu Base Model are stupendous in that category in the meantime!
Hi, for basic jogging and walking 6km everyday, is this a good option? can you help me decide between this and ultraboost 21? i didn't like pegasus 38 feel on foot. felt unstable while walking.
Love your honest reviews man.

Keep on running and keep on enjoying. The fresh air of a walk and this comment has galvanised me! 👊👍🏼

Take your time to heal man, as long as you get videos out! Whatever the subject is! Always interesting and entertaining! 😎
I still wish they would do less carbon more composite / nylon whatever less stiff plates . Just so much more comfortable

Sounds like a perfect low stack monster!
Whether I intend to buy the shoe or not, I stick around for the entertainment value alone. ;-) Thanks for the musical intro serenade EDD.
regarding running while injured shoulder: smaller strides = smaller impact, then adjust the cadence/speed, also forefoot landing/contact = less impact, wide shoes like peg38 ideal
Superb advice. Thanks and will take this into account soon. I appreciate it
I bought this model only to use in work and walk some days. It's good for me?
Very interested to see how this one works out Edd. Pegasus 34-36 and Elite 10 were some of my favourite shoes. The Rival Fly 2 was disappointing but main issues being poor upper and lack of cushioning this one may be an improvement.
I hear this upper is very different to the RF2. I have high hopes!
@@EDDBUD Yeah it was really loose, bit like a bin bag! Really minimal and firm under foot but the move to cushlon should be good! Nice colourway too.

I do have one of those sticks! I think I’m not far off some easy running. Maybe this week. 👍🏼
I definitely share your frustration on tongue length!

Loved the old Peg 35's. Just bought a pair of these Zoom Rival Fly 3's from Keller Sports for £54! Looking forward to trying them out.😃
Closer to the old pegs than the new pegs.
Not a Nike afictionado at all although I would like to try the Vaporfly some day. But they seem to have so many models. I can't see the forest for the trees...

Dig the new hat, I’ve got the same one.
This looks a bit like the Terra Kiger in the upper, I loved the for of that, any similarities?
Not many similarities. It’s quite a low profile number.

GREAT, but gutted they stopped doing rivalfly in WIDE version as they did for mk1 :(
I like that hat too! I gotta get me one.

Cushion? Oh hello!! Glad to hear they’ve ditched the react for this one!!
Old peg 35/36 cushlon. Will appeal to those who dislike the react. 👊👍🏼
We always find you of interest, EDDBUD, even when you can’t run-test! Keep healing well. What’s the ETA according to the doc?
Hey Martha! I think they might allow me to do something this week. I wait with excitement! 😊
That’s awesome news!
Between this and the odyssey react which is better for 5km and training in general?
The rival fly 3 is lighter and has a lower profile than the react models.
This shoe looks like an updated Zoom Elite 10. That was a cracking shoe so will look at these. 👍
@@thomasgamble3142 and the fit of the upper was sock like. I still have a pair which I take out as a treat every now and again!

No heel slip.
Its the cheap knock down of the streakfly?!
No a very different shoe. More firm and responsive.
@@EDDBUD thank you for feedback! ❤❤
That is a sweet hat indeed!

Winflo 7 with a better color scheme?
Not tried that shoe. But others mention it’s similar.
Could you go down half a size in these bad boys or would they be to snug?
You could get away with it perhaps. The toe box height may be the deciding factor though.
23k! Congrats!
I'm 10k/21k runner,, for speed training at the track this one is good or streakfly?
Yes light nimble and on sale. Why not!
How does the sizing compare to the New Balance fuelcell rebel?
More roomy than the rebel 1 and 2
@@EDDBUD thanks man love the channel keep up the good work ✌️
Ed New hat Bud is the best
To me this looks like it is in the same class as the Puma Liberate Nitro and Adios 6.
Could be an interesting shoe battle video. 😜
Yes very much in the mould of the Adios 6 in weight and function perhaps.
You sure I'm not a buffoon, there's plenty that will tell you otherwise 😁
I currently love my endorphin 2's, but love to have something with a bit more stack for those daily miles.
Peg 38 and rival fly 3 with one better ?
I would go rival fly 3.
Edd: Did my longest run since surgery today. A slow 50 minutes. Covering just over 9km. Hate being so slow but just taking it step by step.
Brilliant stuff! You are inspiring me Joe. 👊
When did this come out? We don't have it in the US
Yes it been around in other website for a few weeks here in the uk. It’s so odd the current lack of shoes on the US.
I guess I'm not suppose to mention the website or I'll get deleted. But their charging $35 delivery fee. Ouch!
Nice looking shoes as is your new cap! 😉
Thanks 😊👊

Bizarre they haven’t launched them yet!
…cool cap 👍🏻 genuine question, why would you chose this over say, a Peg 38? Is there much difference 🤔
I think this one actually. Much more nimble and less shoe overall which is always good. Almost.
@@EDDBUD hmmm interesting, thanks 👍🏻 …shame Nike don’t sell them for men 😂
Hi all. Injured at present so not in great form
Looking at these too
60g lighter than the invincible, more like a streak 7 / peg 38 hybrid
@@EDDBUD nice only 70 earth credits in the white pink colorway too
Hi, for basic jogging and walking 6km everyday, is this a good option? can you help me decide between this and ultraboost 21? i didn't like pegasus 38 feel on foot. felt unstable while walking.
These are like a feather compared to the UB21/22. Also much more lightweight than the pegasus.
is this a same pair like pegasus 37 ?
Bit cheaper I think 👍🏼
Good review hope the shoulder mends soon!
Thanks Lee 👊
@@EDDBUD your welcome 👍
This seems like a really nice shoe to me.
Lovely on foot too!
First? If it's still React midsole Ed then it's a hard pass for me 👎🏿
Cushlon on this one
Length of the tongue and the shoe laces seem to be always a problem for shoe makers, especially the shoe laces!! 😅
How can they foul up such an easy win?! 😊
Eels yes! Novocaine for the s..........houlder...
Shoulder better. Now have a terrible toothache hence less videos this week. 😭😭
What an odd shoe 🤔 think if I can find it cheap i might pull the trigger 🤙🏽
Yes some sl20 and adios 6 vibes on this one.
@@EDDBUD how does it compare to the Streak 7??
Just like the Peg 35/36... Cushty.
You know it makes sense. 🤣
I've picked them up for 89 Earth credits.......
Not a bad price. Enjoy! 🎄👍🏼
Hello :) Cool hat ;) Can we get any link ?😉
It’s on the nike website.

the adidas adizero adios 6 looks better
Let’s go Brandon
Odd that this and the Winflo 8 both exist, The specs and weight are pretty close, Then again, having choices is always a good thing.
There are so many similar Nike shoes right now.
Spiffy hat
Much appreciated 👍🏼😊🏃🏻♂️
