How do u know it's the hose leaking and not the radiator ? I see it slightly leaking from the upper hose I'm thinking of changing the hose and if it don't stop then ima change the radiator
Thank you, I had to replace my fan assembly thought a good idea to change hose's sametime! Your video helps with a smooth instruction, Thank you for posting it.
I use a specialized pick tool to loosen the joints at the ends of the old hoses. I never rely on rotation or in-line tension for breaking those joints. I do not attempt to remove the hoses until they are loose enough that you can move the hose with only minimal force applied by hand. Treating them gently will reduce the risk of cracking the plastic parts of the radiator. If you mimic the rough techniques shown in the video, some day you will have to buy a surprise radiator.
i have a small coolant leak on the thinner line right next to the lower hose after getting my timing belt and water pump replaced.... never leaked before at least not noticeably . What hose is this?
You can find a factory Honda part here: www.hondafactoryparts.com/ Flip side is to visit the local auto part store and they'll cut to length a replacement hose.
I wouldn't follow the recommendation to put the radiator cap on loosely and then turn on the engine. The cap can blow off from the very hot coolant pressure as it heats up, then explode all over the place, including on your skin if you happen to be near. Found this out the hard (and painful) way. Also, this video doesn't show the burping process to release air from the system. Find another video such as the one by RatchetsAndWrenches guy where a funnel is used.
You should always use honda coolant, you could potentially ruin your engine. There is a chemical difference in other types of coolants, theres probably a specific formulation for aluminum metals used in the motor and components.
Basic hand tools and a garage with a lift. There's no way thst lower hose is coming out that easily. I'm in the middle of this job right now and thst lower clamp is wedged under the fan, in front of the suspension, and completely fuxking inaccessible
Great video! I was surprised you didn't replace the hose clamps with ones that tighten by screwing.
I spent little over five bucks to get the stainless screw clamps much easier down the road.....

If the hose is soft but I’m sure yk this by now
@@JCIV14yeah turned out to be the radiator
Do you have to empty out all the coolant if you’re just using the top one
Superb video. Straight to the point! Replacing my hoses also for my Honda Prelude.
can you do a video on the heater hose? as that one seems to split more on Hondas than the radiator in my experience.

Can this also make your clutch go soft or squishy?

Quick question why is honda lower radiator hose connects to the Thermostat and the upper feels extremely hot 5 mins after can starts
What about burping the system to remove trapped air
I would recommend new hose clamps. OEM clamps are cheap and loose tension.
Me, I've found that the OEM clamps work fine, and because they're wide, I think they seal better than narrow clamps with worm gear.
Hey bro what’s the name of the hose that’s next to the lower radiator hose with the metal piece?
On 1:44
@@jimperez3497 I have the same question. Mine is leaking. Did you figure it out?
@@natalieyt1851 did you ever figure it out?
@@elantran1902 I did, it was a transmission oil cooling hose.
Well done , congrats good video.

the hose shown at 1:51, not the lower radiator the smaller one...
Did you ever find out what hose that is ?
Great video brother. This was a huge help. You made it look really simple
Glad to help! Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it.
How much does it cost if your hose is leaking antifreeze and you need a new one
Excellent video!!
Can you tell me what that hose is at 0:05 seconds connected to the intake manifold? Mine is leaking a little bit...
That's for the brake booster.
CarsNToys what do i do if its leaking where the clamp is?

Where do you get the plastic clips? Like the exact clip size? Thanks.
Here you go: amzn.to/3cXQ3hj
Weres the gas line for this car that goes to the motor so I know the motor is getting gas
Does the Honda use a specific type of antifreeze?
Yes
Yes, they do. However,I've used Peak over the years w/no issues. Nonetheless, you can find the Honda coolant on Amazon.
Can you do one on the same vehicle but the ECU sensors? How many are there? Cheers

great job very organized and clean 👍👍👍👍
Thank you. Hoped it helped.
thankyou!!
The 10mm bolts also holding that lower fairing on are a bitch to get out of the plastic.
Your never mentioned what 50/50 and concentrate coolant is
Gotta do mine on my Maxima. They're soft as well.
Yeah, the last thing I want is a damn hose going while driving in a snow storm.
Great job great video!
Thanks man.
Awesome video! Very helpful😁👍

What about the Peak brand? It says no silicates
My radiator hose snaped
