His voice is better live than in the studio
After this recent tour, agreed - his voice was extraordinary
He can't fuck up live
Or his wife's Voice???????
@@Hecatecrossways, nope , his wife sinning in “ King Diamond”

Becky Baldwin is the best that could happen for MercyFul Fate live .. well done \m/
I was at this show. Ive seen him solo 4 times since he started touring again, this show, hands down was the best he has ever sounded without a doubt
Tonight 7 souls are reaching hell......
I cant even begin to tell you how fun it was to be a Mercyful fate fan in the 80's
This kicks ass! Who would have thought MF and KD would be so successeful in the 2020s, 30 years ago? Also, who would have thought KD would sound like this so late in life!
I was here!!
It's the king I been listening to since I was three and now I'm 44
A Dangerous Meeting sounds killer!
Totally awesome..
important is that new song is good and that means more will follow, so, glad that this project is alive back again
I still desperately wanted them to play Into the Coven despite knowing all of the setlists!
That's a favorite of mine as well! Compared to bands like Iron Maiden which cater to the obvious hits, I think it was more or less a flawless set list, but yes I would have loved to have heard Into the Coven!
Mike Wead is underrated, he is brillriant IMO!
Saw King Diamond iat House of Blues in Hollywood Cali. Then two months later Mercyful Fate same place in 1998. Voodoo and Dead again tours. Still get chills!!
Was right up on the barricade just to the right of Hank Sherman, Damn good show. Saw King Diamond twice but this was my first time seeing Mercyful Fate. LONG LIVE THE KING!
I have seen King Diamond and Mercyful Fate a total of 20 times. Still my forever favorites
Who ever thought back in high school we'd still be seeing King Diamond in 2022? Look around..all our bands still play. Lasted through pop, hip hop, boy bands, grunge and PREACHERS. Top it off that I'm still alive. We rocked back then. Love you all!!
I saw King Diamond at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip Hollywood CA. in 1998 during Voodoo tour then Mercyful Fate few months later same place during Dead Again tour. Small club too. Still get chills of thrills and horror. Fan since 1983. Love you all!!

Impreeionante como esta cantando en vivo . Ojala pueda verlo 🎉❤🎉
I was at this show, it was phenomenal!!! Thanks for uploading so I can relive it!!🤘🤘
Awsome sound.
Great footage - many thanks for making this available! I was in the pit close to center stage - extraordinary show and nice to relive! I saw them in Brooklyn last week as well - let's hope this is a new beginning for Mercyful Fate, with many tours to come...heavy metal doesn't get better than this!
As much as I like MF, I can't wait for a King Diamond tour!
Boring...
I was at Laval Qc dang great show drove 5hrs...glad you saw 2 shows bud I love king very glad to have seen him !!!
@@zandig666 Well worth the drive to Philly for the second show after Brooklyn - in retrospect, wish I'd seen more of this tour and already looking forward to the next - King's voice is better than ever and his stage presence on this tour was epic!
@@adan1272 You might be in luck! According to Metal Blade Records, King Diamond is next in line for an album and tour, with Mercyful Fate to follow
Becky absolutely smashed it on this tour! A fantastic player, one of the best music tutors in the UK and most importantly a genuinely lovely person!
Does she play in a band? Saw them in Maryland and thought she did real good. Great stage presence and played well.
@@eku_adam Hi Adam! Yes she plays in Fury back in the UK, check out our channel and see if you like it! \m/
One can only bow down in respect to " King "...............he`s 66 years old.................and still kicking butt................❤
Thank you so much for putting this up, what a fantastic show! Nobody does old school metal better than Mercyful Fate imo. King sounds incredible!!

Great sound quality!
40 years ago I saw an ad in a Metal music magazine, back in Europe. An unknown danish band selling a cassette tape recording of one of their live shows. I took a chance and sent in a money order. The band was amazing and so was the concert. They had only released one vinyl EP at the time. I was one of the first people outside the metal-heads of Denmark to ever hear MF's music!
omg you're so old!
@@decypher0815 King Diamond is 66 years old. I'm a lot younger.
What a tracklist, and what a performance, these guys are amazing - and they held up for the long game.
is the best of the best hellyeah
Swedish Danish royalty
Yes, fantastic set list - flawless I think, except for the absence of Into the Coven. But after numerous Iron Maiden tours with terrible set lists I can't complain - this one was near perfection
@@littlefurrycyd nothing from past reunion tho I love every MF album
@@zandig666ime was the best Mercyful Fate album since the EP.
Mike Wead did a great job of interpreting Michael Denner's solos. He captures their essence, but puts his own spin on them.
Favorite track: Satan's Fall
Yr work is second to none !..ultimately the best metal concert of the year! Haven't seen them since. Dec. 1984 opening for motorhead ...Tower theater..!
IF YOU WENT TO THIS YOU HAVE SERIOUS MENTAL ISSUES
@@PostUp_Time alot more to worry about in my life then Goin to a satanic DOOMLADDEN DEATH METAL bsnd from Denmark! Remember. It's just music poser !
@@gregcohen6158 😲😲😲😲 friend
an inexhaustible voice and talent, I am increasingly convinced that King draws energy from the underworld 😳
thats exactly what im wondering about
I dunno if ya meant that jokingly or if your being serious , but either way, based on the lyrics of all the music he has written over the years , and on his whole on stage costume , and the whole satanic/ritualistic type vibe he's got going on , I would not at all be remotely surprised if he has and still is conjuring up the power of demonic entities to give him his musicial and stage talents and abilities as well as the overwhelming long term success of his bands ,which is on going still after over 40+ years. If fact id even go as far as to suggest that it's prob very likely that this is how he has gotten and kept his skills and abilities along with the fame and major success of the band , cause the power of the dark side is absolutely genuine and is very very real, not to mention how many famous people ,.especially R&B and Rap artists have we heard flat out admit on camera that they made a deal with the literal devil to get their fame and stage abilities , I dunno bout you , but I've seen video clips of a rather shocking amount of stars whove admitted to this on camera, and that said i would bet King Diamond is no exception. Hope he enjoys his time here on earth to the fullest though , because if he has made a theoretical deal with the devil , he surely will be regretting that very much so upon his passing , because there's no way you can make deals with entities and forces of the dark side , and still keep the rights to your soul upon your passing , cause you better believe those demonic/satanic entities are going to own your soul upon the death of anyone who has made such a deal with these kinds of entities and dark powers, so King better enjoy his time left here on earth , cause i surely wouldnt wanna be in his shoes upon his passing, when that demon comes calling and snatches his soul right up, no thanks lol. 👹
Been in love with this band since I stumbled across Melissa in a record store in 83 and bought it because the album cover was badass.
Melissa was my intro to Mercyful Fate as well - bought it on cassette in 84 - underground record store in San Francisco - transformative experience!
I was there, down in the pit, and I greatly appreciate this video and upload! Thanks man!!! Such an amazing show!
IF YOU WENT TO THIS YOU HAVE SERIOUS MENTAL ISSUES
The pit was rowdy - I was near center stage and it was definitely more intense than Brooklyn - Philly's hardcore!
I would literally buy a CDr of this just to relive it time and time again! I was up on Tier 2R , good seats but didn't get to see it from this angle. Thanks for uploading! ‡★Hails★‡
How much for that seat friend??? Saw KD in 2019 $50 for GA was awesome 👍👍
I was there. Killer set. Better than the records. Sherman is a beast on guitar. One of my biggest influences
Think Becky Baldwin is badass. Love the sound (and so would Timi Hansen)!
I was there and it was amazing!!! So glad to finally get to see Mercyful Fate
IF YOU WENT TO THIS YOU HAVE SERIOUS MENTAL ISSUES

Thank You for filming this! It was an absolutely extraordinary time in that pit!!! 💪🦅🎱🎸😎 Hail Fate! Hail King! 🤘
The pit was festive!
i got don't break the oath at a kmart in 84 or 85 - hard to believe that was 40 years ago. i still get goosebumps when they tear into it. sounds really good.
Outstanding audio and video. I was there and want to say “thanks” for recording this epic set.

I saw Mercyful Fate back in 85 with Exciter and Motorhead. Seems like an eternity ago.
good work !
So glad I caught this show when it was in town
Seen them many times🤘blown away every show
Incredible capture as always JB!
Becky did a terrific job. She also has a UA-cam channel where she's doing bass covers of classic metal songs. My guess is that's how she was discovered.
totally!!! she crushed it!!!
her band toured with MF in Tulsa Finland and she got introduced to the band via Livia when they found out Joey Vera had conflicting tourdates
@@ErwinAgustin oh, that's even cooler.
Why no Sharlee?
And the Band Fury UK
Thx for loading. I was looking at tix for Silver Spring and Philly but just too damn much going on to make it.
Hank Sherman deserves a higher ranking in todays guitar legends polls, for real and quick!
Thanks, did not want to go into filthadelphia to watch this, so youtube is always an option!
Sounds the same just like he did in 83 this man is a gem way to go King diamond I'm just sad I've never been able to see you live 😈
Nice job on the recording
Speechless.
Wow
Dont forget the stand in British bass player Beckie Baldwin great tallent
The best thing metal ever happened!
I was at this show really enjoyed it kreator and midnight were also awesome
I saw them live on 5-Øren Park in Copenhagen in the late 90s: KD, Hank, Denner, Timi - but I simply can't remember if it was Mikkey on drums. That was one of the most magnificent heavy metal tour de force I've ever witnessed - and by the sound of this, they're still one of the most solid acts still in the game - would love to revisit that experience 🤟
I don't think Mikkey Dee ever played with Mercyful Fate unless it was a oneof appearance I don't know of... Probably Snowy Shaw?
Mickey was long gone pretty much after the second King Diamond solo album and he never played with Mercyful Fate
I wasn't there, Lucky you!!! Thanks for the video! Best Metal bend ever! Open wide the Gates of Hell!!!!
Yeah
King diamond show is better but of course I enjoyed this show also but to me he just seems to put more into the king diamond shows
Great quality, thanks for sharing. Was the show recorded with a smartphone? Should be a really good one.
not a phone..panasonic fz2500
Nice video, but the sound - AWESOME! So clean - is this a soundboard mix?
30:25 это просто бомба я в шоке просто огонь гитары магия ну и голос
Fucking awesome and great sound
YO RON!
YOU ARE A WEIRDO!!!
Me crowd surfing at 1:08:40 🤙🤘
Agreed the stage was a wee bit small for this grandiose production, but did King and the MF Crew just kill it live? Thanks for this amazing quality upload!!!
Nice job except for the guy and woman who stood up in front of you at the end of Doomed By The Living Dead. Loved it anyway. Thank you !
He reminds me of Arthur Brown !
No entiendo cómo es q no tocaron ninguna canción del disco nine....si ese disco es una verdadera obra maestra

What did you use for recording this performance?
хорошая камера. прям завидую
The king is dead, long live the king!
Real good but no Songs after the 2nd Album. Why? I know that Melissa and DBT Oath are their ultra classic Albums. And!!!... No disrespect to Mike Wead. No Michael Denner on 2nd Lead Guitar... No Real Mercyful Fate🙄🤨🤔😒😤. Sad enough that Timi Hansen is dead🙏And Kim Ruzz/Drums is still not to find/available?
Spooky spooky spooky spooky.
