37:27 Is it alright if we share what we would do with wand builds and you explain why they’re not good ideas? If not, don’t read any further, but tell me why, if you don’t mind me asking. For example, here, what I would do since our main issue with this wand is recharge time is find a way to both loop it and have a straight shot. So to start, I’d lead with a heavy spread and a bouncing burst. I like bouncing burst specifically because the accuracy of this spell doesn’t matter all that much, and the little bit of cast delay reduction might help a bit. Then, I’d add a concentrated light, which is great as cast delay isn’t an issue. Lastly, I’d end the wand with add mana to pay for the concentrated mana and have the recharge time be reduced by the heavy-spread bouncing burst. While it isn’t reduced to zero cast delay now, it will always have mana now thanks to the wand’s charge speed and the add mana. Additionally, the concentrated light will now always go straight. Now, what am I not considered here?
This is actually a super clever solution to the issue of heavy spread causing chaos but still being super valuable. I often times wrap thing using 1 or 2 casting blocks total but your solution of not pairing and just relying on the individual cast delay reduction of the spells would work perfectly. Something that I haven't considered in the past but will definitely add into my repertoire! Note the iteration you stated with mana to wrap would make us run out of mana pretty quick since it would cast for every other CL instead of each so you would want to use something like a light to wrap instead but the concept is the same. Just have the heavy spread attached to a throw away spell like bouncing burst and then use the low cast delay of the other spell on its own to carry the damage.
Thank you! I’m glad I was able to teach you something despite having relatively limited playtime. The only reason I thought we might not run out of mana was that we have such a high mana charge speed.
Regarding the dead runs and such (0:25:10), I enjoy seeing them! Not every run is a success and it's super good to learn from the mistakes of dead runs, plus I'm sure newer players would feel much better seeing experienced players dying too :)
I would watch a 5+hour video where you showed the full sun/moon quests and long videos with boss runs and orb collecting runs. All of that sounds epic. Please keep a focus on how you're building and why. I've learned a lot from this video and I've been playing noita for over a year lolol
25:10 It's been said already, but I certainly appreciate seeing how quick a good run can end. I only recently got my first clear after 185 hours, so seeing more of the mistakes and what the takeaways from those mistakes are is tremendously helpful. 29:50 Is exactly the analysis I'd love to see.
Your videos are like honey for my soul, rhey are so informative and your voice is so good to listen to. Keep it up, and keep commenting in the meantime as much as you can, there is never too much information
Gosh I wish I'd have those combat skills. The movement, dodges, water use, kicks, wand switching, aim, awareness, knowledge of threats, knowledge of spells and how to make use of them, etc.
@@AliasGaming0 That's the thing, those runs where you explain as much things as possible while playing normally are the best thing to learn for newer players. I feel like knowledge is what gives you power in that game and there's so much that we have to know to be able to transform any bad starts into good runs so that we may force the win with consistancy. Thanks for the guides :)
How about a 'seldom seen biome' run? Hardly any stream I see ventures into the spider biome , wizard tower, hell. So could you do a showcase of how to get a good want for that and go there as quickly as possible?
1:35:40 nth means just any number you choose; an input essentially. For example, the formula for the sum of interior angles for a regular polygon to the nth side is (n-2)*180 so for triangles with three sides thats (3-2)*180 so 180 degrees.
I love the idea of hard seeds and challenge runs, but as a way to show how to make a bad seed/run better etc. E.g can't use unlocked spells, can't use powerful but rare spells, can't use powerful perks.
I always found it hilarious how much more dangerous the 3rd floor is from the 2nd. The 1st to 2nd is a smooth transition in difficulty, but 2nd to 3rd is a fuckin' meatgrinder.
Hey, if I can throw in my two cents': for a video this long, marking highlight events that occur might be pretty helpful. Not sure what all YT will let you do, though.
Nothing to do w/ Noita, but I saw that you had posted a video on Rain World and picked it up the other day (almost) purely based on that. Been having an absolute blast w/ it and wanted to share
That's so awesome! Rain world is one of my favourite games, other than noita of course! That said it is soul crushing at times, I'm glad to hear you're having a good time with it right off the hop :)
I’ve gotten super Cuck’d on spell/wand spawning and perks causing potential god runs to die. Died to an ukko in the east parallel world because I couldn’t find or reroll electric immunity. Oh how I love this game. Even the best of runs is 2 hits from death at all times (in the case of poly)
Another good one. Just started this game. Lots of players not doing normal runs with commentary. Thanks. Still haven't finished the first one. Edit: So after hours and hours of playing and dying in the snow level over and over again (I learned to get stuff that I can go through walls to get to the weird biomes on the side) and not completing your videos in totality I still don't know what I'm actually trying to go after... new game +? wtf is that? lol Like, is there a checklist somewhere? These slow meandering videos are incredibly helpful btw.
True! I tend to not calculate in wand damage reach for my floor safety but if I were winstreaking I would definitely try to play above 83 health at all times (that said I think that comes with its own set of risks).
I feel like playing around the threshold where a wand does next to nothing to you and a wand OHKOs you probably makes it so you don’t have enough health later to get through harder areas like Fungal without dying. Additionally, I feel like this game (and most rogue likes as well) really depend on your skill and luck early to snowball and make the later game a lot safer because of early risks. I could still be wrong, though, as I’m still relatively a baby in this game with only like 350 hours in the game.
personally I always go for a tablet pretty much asap, be it the one above the mountain or the one by the lava lake, and that might have saved my butt against that teleport mage if and only if I hesitated exactly none at all which I would have lol one of those things you can call a skill issue if you want but being realistic some skill issues are just massive issues - recognizing the chance of a nuke or a holy bomb so quickly isn't something I would have done!
Can I vote for a combination instead of just one or the other? Would love to see some challenge runs, especially for stuff like pacifist, but would also love to see how you deal with especially tricky seeds. And as everyone else is saying, please do keep in at least some of the failed runs. Not only is there information from during the run, but it helps keep things in perspective. Often times it can feel like good players never die, and it's nice once in a while to get a reminder that stupid stuff happens even to the best players.
I think I'll alternate between seeds people send in and various challenges, that seems to be the general consensus. Just gotta wait for some tough seeds to come in! I definitely feel ya regarding watching good players, it always feel like they have better luck and that sort of thing too, I will definitely just leave the deaths in, even if it extends the video it should be good help!
No way you get light modifier, chainsaws, lumi drills, and fireball orbit in his first shop. What is this RNG. I regularly clear out the entire Mines, Coal Pits, and Fungal without anything useful. But you get your entire run guaranteed god mode from within 10 minutes. I'm not even complaining, I still make it work somehow by going to overgrown caverns and finding a way to get to parallel worlds from there. But that route ends up taking like 2-3 hours just to set up and find what I need, while getting all the useful tier 0s from first mountain just instantly sets you up to do whatever you want this run. It's not your fault but this video is not relatable. You mentioned purposefully doing bad seeds, so here's the seed of my current run (It's not the absolute worst, 1 chainsaw and 1 fireball orbit, but no black holes, no lumi drills, no spark bolt triggers, no TP bolt, no ambrosia, with entirety of Mines, Coal Pits, Fungal, Snowy Depths, AND Hiisi Base cleared out): 1098695935

wholesome comments, rad
The new bugfix patch mentions the next update will be "small" so it's gonna have 6 new bosses and 5 new questlines

^ this! Also, it’s not like before that is wasted footage. There’s still knowledge to be gleaned from them.
This exactly, couldn’t have put it better myself
23:01 I have too much good stuff.
23:50 Noia'd
That's a lesson in not taunting the Noita gods lol
I'm glad you didn't cut out the dead run. Its good to see even a pro get Noita'd and how you bounce back from it and try again.

Have u watched dunks versions, he always repeats steps he does and i learned a ton from it. Been playin a couple years now
My favorite part is where he says "This is the best perk in the game" for every perk 🤣. Love these kinds of videos, keep em coming!
There's definitely a couple perks that can take the top spot haha. I think it's just a testament to how balanced the game is.
@@AliasGaming0 oh most definitely!

I enjoy falling asleep to long run videos so thank you! More descriptive the better!
Thank you for talking about why you didn't want the one wandThat sort of info is hugely helpful :)
Your videos are like honey for my soul, rhey are so informative and your voice is so good to listen to. Keep it up, and keep commenting in the meantime as much as you can, there is never too much information
32:29 I’d not have thought of that. This game is goofy and I love it.
I love how you play, way more fun than a lot of noita out here, looking forward to watch more
All those different run ideas for future videos sound great! Particularly want to see the all boss one
Gosh I wish I'd have those combat skills.
The movement, dodges, water use, kicks, wand switching, aim, awareness, knowledge of threats, knowledge of spells and how to make use of them, etc.
It all just takes lots of time and practice! I appreciate the kind words though :)

56:00 is that alchemic precursor under his blood? haven't finished the vid yet, but it sure looked like it.
Wow I think you're right, I must have totally missed it!

How do you apply water so fast? Seems like it takes way longer for me to get slime or fire off me than you do.
23:48 you took 70dmg and had 1hp left, fire killed you. If you'd pic up the heal you'd survive easily. Planning Skill Issue :P

Or yeah, you could just get Noita'd... Though to be fair, you were rushing it and kind of deserved it
Can you mabey try doing a 33 orb kolmi?
It would be a long one but I'm sure I could manage!
Keep the dead runs. Especially if you give good information during them (which you did).
Awesome video do fish
I prefer Noita videos like these. I find chat streams a little distracting.
Alias has a phd in noita😂.
Still working on my doctorate though!
spark bolt > every other spell
change my mind
funny how youre apologizing for taking long @ 1 hr, meanwhile i sometimes take 3 hours getting to the 4th biome lmao
I suppose everyone plays at their own pace haha. I definitely have a bit of that speedrunner bug in me so I feel the need to be quick about things.
I...I...I...I...I...I... I love Bannerlord and Star farer but...but...but...but........Noita...
Noita....Noita....
